Rosanna, Al Dente, the little guy in the pasta, is BPA free and corresponds to EU food safety standards, which are pretty strict. My parents have an egg that plays music in a similar fashion for perfectly cooked eggs. Nobody bats an eye about that in Germany :-D

Yes! EU Safety is oftentimes way stricter than in the US. And a battery in boiling water is no problem if the gadget is made for that. Waterproof gadgets are no secret and batteries made for high temperatures is also pretty normal.

I know California is really really strict on their views on what is safe and not safe and I believe that is where she lives. There are a couple things she has been really strict about that I just sigh with. I have a really awesome microwave rice cooker that I have never had trouble with which is plastic that she would probably hate as well.

Molly is a full time mom. She’s an expert gadget reviewer and i trust her opinion

Aw I was hoping you would love the waffle iron 🥲 I have a DASH rice cooker, and it’s great. The waffle irons are so cute and perfect for dorms and small apartments :) and everyone needs an immersion blender! Mine’s come in handy so many times

Please understand some gadgets you don’t think are useful or you think doing something by hand is easier, but as someone who is disabled, getting a little extra help, even if it’s not perfect and I have to fix it a little before getting the final product, that’s a win to us. @@katjabittel9901 Just because you can't imagine it doesn't mean we don't live with it, Friend. You'd be surprised. Watching that lemon slicer thing, I was thinking it looks perfect for me. I can't reliably hold or use any larger blade. My hands have spasms and twitches. Many "weird gadgets" designed to make something easier are intended or were designed to fill an existing need for the disabled or elderly population. If you live a long life, which I'd wish for you and all of us, you will be disabled one day and want nice ways to make life easier and keep you doing the things you love.

I’ve been watching your videos for many years. I remember your nerdy nummys introduction! You are the reason why I love baking sweets. So I think I was in sixth grade! I know have graduated college with an Associates Degree and going for my Bachelor’s next year. When I feel sick I watch your videos and I love watching your old videos bc they make me so happy. You also helped me embrace my weird side and taught me that being weird isn’t a bad thing and it’s okay to be unique. I also have both your cookbook and when I get my own place plan to buy your cooking line! If I can find it that is! You and Molly are part of my childhood and I will always watch you until my dying breath ❤️

i have that cuisinart food processer thing. i make my smoothies in the food processor. you can't do a lot at once but for one serving and the ease of use/cleaning. its a good little tool. i haven't tried the whisk attachment because i prefer a hand mixer as well. it was like $5 at a thrift store. the immersion blender also works well

I think it's a bit unfair to buy a MINI-Waffle Maker and then complain it's too small. I get wanting more and everything... but don't buy a mini, then. With how well it worked and the "cute pattern" shouldn't it be a 5-Star MINI-Waffle Maker? It did what it's meant to. Edit: Also, didn't they determine Stanley thermoses are RADIOACTIVE or something?

Stanley cups have a lead pellet in the base (not in direct contact with your drink) to seal the insulation. Supposedly it’s fine unless the metal button covering it comes off, which does happen occasionally. At that point you’re getting lead exposure from the outside of the cup, and it needs to be returned to Stanley for a replacement.

@@nicanonymus2491 The alternative (if you have the space) is you can buy like,, 4 mini waffle makers with different patterns to appease the littles. Doesn't work for everyone, but could be fun for some!

@@Justyouraveragechaosenjoyer I don’t know if I would buy four mini makers! I would buy a big one and cut the waffles in pieces. You can upgrade it with fruit, yogurt, sirup, chocolate sauce and so much more. I think kids loose interest pretty quickly with these patterns. But maybe I’m wrong. Each to their own, right? 😉✌🏼

I have a version of the red bowl thing and I love using it for popcorn and then some other snacks. I put the popcorn in the bottom and then my snacks that would melt in the top and I only need one bowl for it. It also works for chips and salsa so you don't need two bowls.

aren't there battery powered thermometers that you would leave clip to a pot? I don't think just because something has a battery means that you can't submerge it, however it should be very clear what temperature is it can handle, and how long it can stay in

That one that quarters the fruits/veggies is my favorite, I make a lot of food that needs quartered veggies, and that would save me soooo much time.

The dash irons are great. I run a few at a time and we get all fun and cute waffles!!!

I enjoy kitchen gadgets and am always interested in seeing new ones. I miss seeing your cooking videos, which seem less frequent. I am guiding a kitchen film studio in my back yard that should be done in 2 months. Sadly youtube doesn't support recipe videos as much anymore so I always lose money on them. Working on some fun ideas though as I LOVE doing tutorials.

@@RosannaPansino PS I can't remember if I've seen you do a review of kitchen gadgets from Daiso, which is a Japanese budget store. It's similar to a $1 store here, but the products are soooo much better. We have a few Daiso stores in the United States. I think there is one in LA. You might have fun with their gadgets! I use Daiso kitchen things all the time in my kitchen. They're fantastic.

They do have quite a few kitchen gadgets that are *not* plastic, either silicone, or metal, glass, ceramic, etc. If you shop carefully, I think you can find plenty of things that are interesting there, and still fit your requirements.

RO!!! If you want a wine thermos similar to that but it fits every stand size of wine or champagne bottle try VinGlace! We use them at the tasting room I work at and they're great!! i've never tested one bottle for seven hours but i've had one in for at least three and the bottle was empty and then when I took it out it was still frosty cold even empty!

I've wondered what the 5-star gadgets would be like compared to the 1-star!

I use my egg slicer to slice olives and mushrooms. Saves loads of time and slices them uniform.

I have one of the mini waffle irons and love it. It's just me and my kid in a small townhouse with very limited kitchen storage so I was specifically looking for one that *doesn't* make 4 waffles at a time. We also have a mini sandwich iron from the same company that's great for fast grilled cheese sandwiches.

I'm at happy you guys upgraded to five star products, even if there were still some misses

We have an emursion blender and we usually use when we only need a little bit of whipping cream, ours is really old so I just thought it was cause of that it got warm and the whisk was a little bit unstable, I think that the blender is for when you only need to do something small but we have also had our fair share of spills, one time I was going to release the button for speed, and accidentally let the cup to instead, we had half whipped cream everywhere

That bowl would be good for eating nachos without soggy corn chips. Lol I like it.

Plus with that immersion blender you were setting it upside down. Flip the other way. When you don’t anything attached to it. Then it will stand without any wobbling. Don’t even have to rest it up against anything either

The hand blender actually works and comes with multiple attachments including an immersion blender. I've had one for over 5 years and it still works great.

i haven't seen you do it but maybe you have. i love the zoodler! its just not great when you need a lot of zoodle, or coodle.
