Actually according to the wiki: It is a fairly common misconception that the Minigun Turret is bugged because players can not occasionally seem to hit their targets with it at first. In reality, however, there is no bug to that. Players must aggravate any and all targeted creatures in order for their shots with the Minigun Turret while firing it to register.

Is there any justifiable reason for this?

Set a metal foundation down somewhere inside the base, inside the perimeter of the saddle platform. That way if you ever get attacked by a giga or an alpha and the adobe is destroyed, you won't have to sink the foundations and square them up again.

Making the titanosaur wander around the map would be cool, so the Ragnarok base would feel like a nomadic adventure

Mate, you've gotta have the titan defended by your dimorph flock. Not only would it look cool to have it constantly being swarmed like the desert titan, but also the titan isn't as likely to get screwed over by its stamina or by being on passive

I have a good use for your killer dimorphs. Have a flock of them follow the titan constantly as kinda base defense. they might even eat corpses :)

The follow point is in the center of the body. Even at the highest follow distance, they'd tangle it up. Could park a raptor or other small rideable on top of a building and have them follow that though.

you can completely disable the thing with the titan starving. just turn raid dinos feeding on or something and it will eat food normally

if you turn that on you still have to force feed it. It wont eat naturally

I believe there is a setting that has turrets disabled on platform saddles. Although you can place the manual turrets, they don't deal any damage. It's been a long time since I've dealt with this issue so I could be wrong 😂 Great video Syntac 😁😁

i really like this idea. i think it would be cool to translate the pvp styled base idea onto the sky titan but have it more of like a aircraft carrier styled one with a runway and it holds tropeos and space dolphins

Random thought, but if you don't have friendly fire enabled, the turrets could be hitting the railings due to their respective hit boxes and making the hit sound. Break a railing, try again, and see what happens

Watching Raas trying to tame one recently with a Quetz and Cannons was very painful, knowing how easy it was with a Mek.

My first time trying to tame a Titanasaur was with cannons on a quetz, too and it seemed to be broken, because it was taking way too long, so i used the admin gun to spy on it's torpor and it wouldn't drop beyond a certain point. I have no clue why, but it seemed bugged, so I gave up and didn't try again till a year later, after I got my first mek. It was SO easy with the mek!

Kronos would be a good name because it’s the name of the leader of the Greek Titans, and it’s related to the Greek word for time. Perfect since you tamed it so quickly

Super sick build Syntac. Absolutely love it.Names for the big guy. HMC- Short for Howl's Moving Castle, Calcifer- the fire spirit thats runs Howl's castle(plus he has that nice yellow orange coloring), Fortress- just sounds cool, Home- because lol. You should just put him on wondering with plenty of food.

That adaptive camouflage you stumbled across makes your base look awesome. If you completely build around the entire dinosaur it would disappear. Other players couldn’t see it!

You did an amazing job on this build - great work :D

Would a little kentro herd be a viable thing to help this big guy? (I'm pretty new to Ark still and fascinated by using some as an escort for a mobile base, no idea if that would work well or not though ...) I also agree with the others' suggestions of Atlas as a name! 👍

I can not believe the dedication to this stuff. It is so cool.

Name it Atlas, Cause In Greek mythology, Atlas is a Titan condemned to hold up the heavens or sky for eternity after the Titanomachy. Atlas also plays a role in the myths of two of the greatest Greek heroes: Heracles (Hercules in Roman mythology) and Perseus Atlas is probably the only Titan that is still left alive as if he dies, the world would be destroyed. Atlas is the only Titan that doesn't appear during the 2nd Great War. Atlas the only Titan that has more than two arms, with four of them. It's interesting to note that when Kratos ties up Atlas hands with the Chains of Torment, he only tied up two of Atlas' arms, and yet in the cutscene that follows, all four of his arms are chained up. Either there was a mistake, or all of his strength comes from all four of his arms instead of two of them, and if he tries to unwrap the chains, he would cause the world to collapse on top of him. In the original God of War, Kratos encountered a the Statue of Atlas that was created by the great architect, Pathos Verdes III. Unlike the real Atlas, which was a giant four-armed Titan with stone-like skin, this statue greatly resembles a human. This maybe an indicate that Pathos didn't know what the real Atlas looked like. Snap slop triangle walls to the pillars near the ceiling to give a support structure look to your pillars.

I’m wait for the tropeo mutations because of the fact that I think they would fit perfectly with the titan base theme with the fact that the tropeo is like a war plane and the titan is a war beast

You should put the titan dermis on the top level and have it moving, like a live feed of the titan and how it's doing.

I remember when i tamed one. I had to log on every 2 days to feed it lol it was a bit annoying after a while 😅 On another community i logged around every 3 days, food drain was slower but still... Anyway with the mek is amazing xD easy and fast taming! And yes, Concavenator is terrible. Disabling them is the best choice. If you're going to talk to Garuga, ask him to make BIG dinos immune. I mean, the sand cloud is smaller, how it can suffocate bigger stuff? Oh, and yeah, wearing a scuba tanks is useless. Not only it doesn't help but it gets damaged and breaks. Too OP. It totally needs some nerf ...

Great to see you Syn! I think the name Chrysos(after the world titan from greek mythology) would fit nicely :]

Looks amazing, I would suggest adding a cool landing pad for your flyers off the back above the cannons

Man, I feel like the sand clouds shouldnt work on creatures bigger than the radius of the cloud (like if their head is above it), because it wouldnt drain their oxygen if the sand cloud is at their FEET, so I think titanosaurs and other long necked creatures should probably be immune to the effects of it-

Ah yes. This is the easiest way to tame the titan solo. You can always call it Atlas. You can always add those upside down planters and have plant species X upside down.

My heart stopped when he didn't go out from the sound cloud, allmost suffocated the Titan xD Name it Nomad, its cool, and you can play it as a Nomadic base!

Hide owls in the deck to replenish the health of all your Dino’s. Keep them fed with golden dodo treats. Keep a few gotchas on board and feed them what the owls regurgitate. Add apes to throw poop. A penguin that summons in Mega Gigantos or Kong. And a flock of seagulls and compys.

There actually is a setting called "MaxGateFrameOnSaddles". :) I never build on platform saddles but I'd guess that changes the number of gates you can have on one?

So regarding boss fights. If you have the omni tool from s+ you can set an advanced transfer preset up to pull all saddles/helmets as well as element, flags, trophies from item caches on the ground. So after killing the boss. Just pick up all your Dinos with the soul gun then use the preset to pull everything. Super easy way to make sure you don't leave anything behind.
