Dave, you are very brave! May the Lord continue to preserve and secure you. When I was a medical student at UNIPORT in the early 1990s, one of my classmates had her wedding in Bonny, and although we were very close, I refused to attend, out of fear of the ocean! She was kind and understanding enough to forgive me! It seems I heard kabashing; you did well. He is always at hand to hear and deliver us when we call upon Him!!

Now I have liver for sea. I drove a jet ski into an open ocean here in UK for about 1hr and that wave got me on my way back. I had to start following it and try to avoid it. The wave are caused by others that have use same route. We were 5 jet ski in number that day and our instructor was far in front who was creating the wave. I had to leave his track completely to enjoy the ride.

Haaaah, Mr courageous kudos, as for me, I can only be on that boat if I am sedated😅😅😅
Good memories, I was frequent to Bonny via this means .Until one gets to the end of the journey , heart will be on your sleeves ,steady kabashing especially when big ships are passing with multiple waves ,fear of the unknown especially travelling early evenings .,the waves , abrupt stoppage of engine , transfering from one boat to another in the middle of the ocean , or is it getting wet in the rain or if you are lucky everyone is covered up under a big plastic bag/ canopy , boat capsizing, sea pirates ...etc .. God is indeed a protector ..However The journey is always enjoyable but morale needs to be high to embark on it . Lolxxx

You really try. You just visited my town. For a non-native, travelling to Bonny Island is not a walk in the park... Years ago, the girl I wanted to marry thought Bonny was an enchanted island and eager to go with me to see my family. But when she got to Nembe Jetty and saw a glimpse of the water, it erased every doubt and ideas she had about her dreamed paradise! The rest, as they say, is history.
