The Bonny Chamber of Commerce is hosting an Investment and Tourism Expo in Bonny this December to discuss investment opportunities and launch it's Free Trade Zone. I actually look forward to the event especially as it will come with festivals and tours around the island. The event is something that will open up investment on the island.

I have heard of bonny island a couple of times and like you said in the video many Nigerian won't get to see this island because it not connected to the country by bridge or airport ecept by boat and not many Nigerians fancy boat ride cos there is little or no safety precautions in place using the rickety boats. But am not disappointed to see bonny is up to what people what many people claim it is inspite of all the wealth coming from this side of the country only the oil companies and their foreign workers coupled with some Nigerians really are benefitting from the wealth here

I am from Bonny. I was in bonny last December for 2 weeks. Did you know Bonny is a grave yard? 24 7 heavy gas flairs air pollution in bonny. There are no roads from Bonny Town to our villages. Poverty rate and inflation in Bonny is unbelievable. Despite oil and gas exploration in bonny. Bonny is not eve 5% developed like lagos Islands. Many people will die of cancer in Bonny due to gas flairs. Many people die on weekly basis crossing the river from nembe to bonny, because there are no bridges to the main land. I am from the Banigo family a proud Igbo man. Wen I visited my father grave in our village. I took baot for #30000. Because there are know road to my village. Is this the almighty Bonny Island we've been hearing about? The tiny island that is the headquarters of the Nigerian oil industry? It's not beautiful enough. The houses are poor, they don't have enough setbacks from the road. There are hardly cars, the place is littered with motorcycles. The quality of the houses and the bikes indicate that most of the inhabitants are poor.. Nigerians, it appears that we cannot manage our own affairs as a people
