As a contrary point, I just barely survived my first semester of CS grad school (full time on campus UIUC) while working part-time. Keep up the grind!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience as a part-time grad student working full-time! My educational path and focus is very different from yours but the schedule you shared with us looks a lot like my day-to-day. I'm a part-time undergraduate senior who has worked full-time for my entire educational journey and I'm thinking about grad school options. I'm "non-traditional" (read: old) so I need to stay on track for retirement and continue working, but part-time grad school paid as I go is something I can still keep open as a possibility. I enjoy being a student and don't really want to stop at my BS. Thank you so much for the inspiration! And congratulations on making it through your first semester!

I love your videos! I'm also thinking about commissioning in the military as well (military psychologist). Your videos remind me about my own experiences in grad school and ideas for when I apply for doctorate programs next year.

I’m an on-campus Computer Science BS/MS double degree student at Tech. Would definitely recommend the Interactive Intelligence specialization (that’s what I’m doing for my MS, and my BS threads essentially create the same concentration). It’s sort of nice getting to balance some of the hard core AI/ML theory courses with the more applied HCI courses. Best of luck this semester and Go Jackets!

Hi Josh! I'm a new subscriber and really enjoy your content. I feel like I relate strongly with your videos, having done a EE and CS double major in undergrad, and now just completing a MS in Computer Eng. As someone who's now working in the industry as opposed to military options that I had, I'm curious what got you interested in a career with the military to begin with? Did you have an internship experience with them, or did they reach out to you in some way? Would it be possible to make a video discussing your perspective on a military career?

Keep these coming, they inspire post-grads to FT and still learn on the side

Great edits man! Love the authentic videos that document your OMSCS journey. I think there aren’t enough videos out there that show this detail.

I did the same exact thing. I was currently working full time at Broadcom and finished my masters in CS in 2 years. I took 2 classes per semester and 1 class in the summer. It is doable but I did have to sacrifice a lot of sleep. There were times when I am in a work meeting and in a class at the same time.
