Competitive Mode is a Team Fortress 2 main menu matchmaking mode. This matchmaking mode is accessible only by logging on to a Premium account with a valid phone number linked to the user's Steam account, and that has earned at least level 3 in Casual Mode. Players may also purchase a Competitive Matchmaking Pass from the Mann Co. Store to gain access. If a player is eligible for Competitive Matchmaking but has a VAC ban on their account, the only way to obtain access is to buy a pass from the Mann Co. Store. Like regular matches, there are no bans to any weapon and/or class.

i love how the match number screen perfectly depicts his mental state throughout the challenge, as things are chaotic from match 15-79, yet he seems to still be in an alright yet tainted mental state, but after 80, shit just goes downhill real fast. numbers mean NOTHING anymore, and it's just rapidly deteriorating sanity, until 92, when he finally sees the light at the end of the tunnel, slowly but surely growing as each passing match crawls closer to the promised land of number 100. Once he reaches the promised land, all of his memories of the past 99 matches come flooding in, reminding him of all the turmoil and sheer difficulty he powered through to get to the end. The end wasn't very satisfying though, and neither was the journey. so it was pointless. but even pointless things have meaning. for example, this pointless thing is giving you MAD VIEWS right now, keep it up man!

But the insane waiting times nowadays would drive me crazy, and the bizarre way it handles what matches get to start and which don't just suck too much. As a daily player of Valve Competitive, i feel pity for you. Also im in the video! amazing!! A note about that [[E]] guy, he is a very good spy - but will lose his marbles if the server contains a person that is gay or something that pisses him off. ALSO: when you crash while joining Valve Competitive, it is because it forces you to play with DirectX 9 (probably due to skins or something????) and with VERY specific settings. I assume your config force DirectX 8 or try to set a high FOV, causing TF2 to die when joining comp (when it tries to switch to DirectX 9)

amazing video it was really interesting to see how the tf2 meta would develop without bans and in a lower-skilled environment. idk what kind of masochism this is but it’s easily more than i could ever handle. the patience and willpower you put in to this is INSANE. easily subbed after this btw first time hearing cruelty squad ost in a tf2 video, super based song choices B)

here is some sort of a hot take . if Valve comp was more like pub but with teams that want to win . it could have worked . yes , more serious quickplay can be nice . tho i hate 5 cp , so i wish we had PL in it . Edit: with it being 9v9 . and for people who want to go for the next level , they go to the community comp . Edit 2 : i didn't even know it had PL . that tells you how much i played . i miss quickplay :/

@@zenoooooo I know this will not work because not many play comp but having 5cp comp and PL comp being separate . afterall , there is a reasons why highlander and 6 comps is a thing . tho as i am watching the video . I realized how much PL sucks for 6 player . btw . i appreciate that you replying to me and others in the comments :)

My mates and me got placed at rank 10 after the placement matches were finally implemented. Unfortunately we couldn't find a quick comp game afterwards so we kinda moved back to tf2center :') Fun to see how comp still has a playerbase after all these years, might check it out again now that tf2center has shut down. Good vid!

Everybody wants to be the guy who uses off-meta weapons and stomps the enemy team in order to prove that the slaves to the meta are wrong and that their favorite weapon concept and playstyle can be used viably. God that poor Medic using the Amputator taunt, Medic would be awesome with a GOOD AOE item, it's infuriating that all these cool weapons and concepts just aren't viable and are considered a throw when you pick them.

@@zenoooooo you realize without capitalism there would not be a large scale industry of computers for purchase by regular people. That’s great yours is secondhand but the only reason you are able to do that is because companies produce computers for a profit and people are willing to pay to have you repair their computers and you are able to buy used parts/old computers on a market of voluntary exchange. That only exists because of capitalism. Capitalism is not perfect by any means but compared to the alternatives it is the most sustainable. Almost all socialist/centrally planned economies collapse extremely fast/ cannot substain themselveslevs long term
