Becky, when I got married, at my shower, we sent everyone a recipe card in their invitation. They were to bring their favorite recipe with them so I would have a recipe box started with everyone else's recipes. I ended up with a ton of recipes that are all good. I am an avid cook and baker.

It's not an unpopular opinion. We don't need to know what's happening with her new baby all the time, we aren't going anywhere and when the baby arrives we will totally understand that this beautiful family need time, peace and love. I'm not here for a baby show, I'm here because Beccy is an amazing woman, who's enthusiasm and commitment to her family is an exemplary example to us all. We hope Beccy takes plenty time for herself though, I couldn't even think of doing all the stuff she's doing at 33 weeks.

Definitely Top 3 KZread channel. It's safe to say #1 homesteading channel. The other day I randomly asked my 8 year old son if he know what I'm watching he said " Acre Homestead with Becky" 😂😂

New research shows that there is no difference in which side goes down. Bc when the foil is made the reason why one side is dull is bc of the milling process

Becky, several years ago, my sister took a few recipes from my grandmother and Great Aunt, and had them transferred to tea towels. She surprised each of my other sisters with tea towels that had our favorite recipes on them. It may be a fun gift for Josh's family members as well. Or get recipes from your family and do the same for your siblings. I have never used them as tea towels, but treasure them immensely.

I love that you post so often and the length of videos it’s a perfect amount of time that 40-60 minutes it fits right into my routine.

There are several artisans on Etsy who make pie pans or trays that have an original picture of any hand written recipe on it. Last Christmas I had one of my mother’s favorite recipes on pie pans to give as gifts. They came out beautifully and it was so wonderful to see mom’s handwriting on the plates. Perhaps your family would appreciate having Josh’s grandmother’s recipes done that way to keep.

What a neat idea! We have an apple bread recipe that was passed down from my mom. My son and his children love it, I should have this done with a loaf pan! I actually had my mom rewrite her recipe and I laminated it, the original was covered in gunk.

I tried that and unfortunately wasnt too impressed with the results but it may have been because i experimented with almond milk instead of dairy as base for the flavored creamer. I may try it again with dairy milk since that freeze dries well. Freeze dried pumpkin powder is phenomenal though!

My son had double jaw surgery 4 days ago, he’s doing well now but there was a bit of stress over the weekend I find this such a calming place to be thanks Becky and Josh for sharing your homestead with us

I've seen people freeze dry eggs to preserve for baking or scrambles. Something to consider if you have more eggs than you can use before they go bad.

Those potatoes look amazing! Girl I adore you. You accomplish more in 2 hours than I can in a day in the kitchen.

I can't get over the dishwasher comment about Josh! It's so funny how much I find that me and my husband are so much like you guys! We have been together 8 years and are the same age. I definitely have a lot of the same mindset as Josh and my husband is definitely the care free spirit that you tend to be. I love watching your videos! I live alone. I also LOVE meatloaf. I make a big... double batch and scoop into my cupcake /muffin tins. I then freeze them. After freezing I toss my tiny meatloaf into a freezer bag. I can usually eat 2 at a time. So simple and easy! I cooked a HUGE crockpot of ham and beans the other night. All night long. The next morning I diced 4 small potatoes into the beans. ( you don't really taste the potatoes... but they help starch up the beans a bit. Once cooled we spooned into ziplocks and froze them flat. I think I got like 14 meals from this! Yummy on a cold day for sure!

Not sure if this has been said already, but the butter/oil combo is to keep the butter from burning in the oven, so if you want to decrease the grease, I’d probably decrease both proportionally.

Omg I have my grandma's handwritten recipe book, and it's exactly the same as the pumpkin roll recipe card you have......It's fun trying to figure out the method to actually use 😄 the handwriting is practically the same too. I've started writing my own inserts to hand down to my own daughter when it's time xx

I have a date nut bread recipe that my mom wrote a bazillion years ago that has ingredients listed like “some” salt, and a “heaping tablespoon” of shortening. I follow it using my interpretation of what I think she meant, and it ends up working out and tastes great.

My day was very stressful and I needed a shot of Becky to brighten up my day!! My mom made banana cake with peanut butter frosting. It was wonderful and once we tasted it all future banana cake was frosted with the peanut butter frosting. Please try it you will not be sorry!! FYI some of the grease on the potatoes is from the parmesan cheese. I would definitely cut the olive oil next time. I can't wait to try them myself.

I have to tell you…. I am almost 52yrs old, and awe with watching and learning so much from you. My two girls are now 25yrs and 20yrs old and I so wish that I thought about doing all of the prepared dinners like you do. Both girls were in sports year round which meant we were gone almost every night of the week and all day Saturday and Sunday’s. They were also into Choir, Musicals and Student government, my husband’s job is so busy and he works overtime almost every week and also we would never know if and when he would be home half the time as he is called out at a moments notice and be gone for days, some would be weeks with his is an essential worker. This would have made life so much easier and healthier for us all, had I thought about doing what you do. I am so very impressed. i wonder if by chance you could use glass contains with lids to store them in. That’s all we have and the are smaller, just enough to feed two and perfect size for my husband when has to leave unexpectedly for days or weeks. Lucky for him is he could keep the dinners in his yeti cooler as everything stays frozen as long as he keeps it stocked with ice, and he also has a microwave in his work van that he can use to heat up or cook with.
