How do we fill in the PGWP form if we did 1+1 program? Are you suggesting that IRCC is already aware of my enrolment in both programs, even if I haven't mentioned the first program separately? The form only has one box space to write your program. What should you put in studies? Only one of them? the most recent one? 1st - IRCC is aware but those program you finished should be indicated in the pgwp form 2nd As far as I can remember there are more than 1 space to input your education. 3rd you will have to show the proof that you studied and completed the program when asked in the idcc application that you're going to create. I do believe that you can only upload 1 document in the system, so yes, a single file for all the document is advisable. Hello, I can't guarantee that! It will be up to the immigration. However the rule is you'll get 3 yrs of PGWP if you studied more than 1 year in a designated learning institutions

Hello! If you have enough fund, I would suggest get a 2 year na program. The proof of fund kasi needs to be equivalent ng 2yr tuition fee and living expenses. If you're going to mention that you are taking 2 1 yr program, that means you should already be enrolled or at least have letter of acceptance to both programs. This being said, you have to show in your proof of fund that you have enough money for 2 programs and 2 year living expenses. I hope this makes sense.

hi , I also took 1+1 year courses and will apply for PGWP now. Do I need to mention in my application seperately that I hope to receive a 3 year PGWP because of my 2 years total study or do they know it automatically ? Because they dont say they will give certainly 3 years PGWP for a 2 years college degree but they say up to 3 years but I have never seen anybody getting less than 3 years PGWP. Do I need to write a letter and attach it to my application to make them remember ?

Hi, you don't have to add that statement because even if you added that, it will still be up to the immigration's decision if you're qualified for 3yrs or not.

Bali 4 months po. Kasi last week ng April tapos ng class then 1st or 2nd week ng sept start ng next 😊 sa 4 months na yung pwede makapag full time! Kaso nung time ko walang trabaho dahil sa covid! 😱

It's the same as when you first applied for study permit.

May chance ka ma PR if makahanap ka ng employer na willing kang I-sponsor ng work permit. Kasi if wala kang pgwp, di ka po pede mag work after.

Ok I have a question, let say I apply to my first 1 year program and the school doesn't have PGWP and then I apply to another school with PGWP can I still apply for the 3 year work permit after the school school

You will only get potentially 1 year of PGWP because you only studied 1 year under a designated learning institution

Hi! I have several questions, planning to DIY for student visa pathway: 1. Do I need a high GPA back in undergraduate studies in my home country in order to qualify for admissions for Masters degree in Canadian universities? 2. How did you convert your Philippine Grading Scale (5-pt. scale) to Canadian GPA scale? 3. I’m kinda confused between Diploma and Graduate Certificate. What’s the difference? Which one should I get if I finished my Bachelor’s degree here in the Philippines so that it will not be hard to explain in my study plan that the reason that I took the program is to further advance my studies. 4. What if my vaccine was not listed on the approved vaccines in Canada? Do I need to get vaccinated again to their recommended vaccine brand? 5. Since I am a Civil Engineer here in the Philippines and planning to take a program related to my bachelor’s degree, I am curious if I study Construction Management at Nova Scotia (for example) will I be eligible to apply jobs after graduation to Ontario? Since when I reviewed the curriculum there are specific subjects that are only applicable to Nova Scotia (like the Building Codes) I think it’s actually different in every provinces so I want to clarify this before I decide on which school is suitable for me. 1. Usually no but they will asses your degree if it will be credited. Check WES (World Education Services), they are the organization that asses your degree. Check your university's requirement. 2. I didn't. It was not required. 3. If you already finished your degree in PH, people usually enrolled to a post-graduate certificate, post-graduate diploma, masters, phd. Diploma are more like basic studies. Certificates are short courses. 4. No you don't have to. They allow you to come in. You need to download ArriveCan application so they can monitor you when you arrive here. You need to show negative covid test and covid vaccine proof. They have listed more accepted vaccine now, check if yours is included. 5. You can apply to job anywhere even you study in Nova Scotia. As long as the employer accepts you. If you want to get permanent residency in the province you are moving to, take in consideration the points you might lose.

QUESTION: I am currently a student with Memorial university running a one year program that began sept 2021 but I have applied for another one year program with York university which will commence Jan 2022 so I intend doing both program side by side. My question goes to the difference in graduation date; I will finish the first program by August 2022 & the second program by April 2023 while my study permit expires December 2022. Are you saying that I should apply for study permit extension by the end of the first program in-order to finish up the second program?

Yes, you should extend your study permit. If it expires while you're still studying that means you're illegally studying/staying here.

Check what your offer letter says. If it says 2 yrs then thats the length, if its 16 months then that will be the length.
