Thrifting books is one of my favorite things. I try to focus on books that I have on my wishlist or authors that I have been wanting to try, but I always end up picking up books because they look and sound interesting.

Exactly like that! It’s very hard to find the ones I want most in English where I live, but I do my best! And sometimes translated will have to do! 😊 Digging for treasure is so much fun!

Free protein for your coffee 😂 Ohhh I want to visit my local thrift store for these -- especially 1984! I feel like that'll be a good book to annotate; I have it on my Kindle from HS but... I think it'd be way better as a physical read 🥰 TIL Quartet is a series of 4 books 🤣 Learn something new from your channel every time! The Hate U Give is also a book that's been on my TBR. You've got a lot great books!! The one book I'm hoping to grab from Fredik Backman is Anxious People... I think I'm going to stop by the bookstore and see what I can grab tomorrow... 😂

Haha true 😂 I’m always looking for natural ingredients! And I’m glad I made want to thrift haha! So much fun! You can probably get so much more than I can find here too, I’m sure you’ll find both 1984 and Anxious people (I want to read that too). Haha yes I’ve never heard that used with books either, but it has to be four! 😊

"The Hate You Give" has been on my radar for some time now. It's a banned book here in some parts of the US. "Franny and Zoey" - I read about 50 years ago (can it be that long!?) in high school. I remember nothing about it, but I think I did enjoy it. LOL! Peter May is a good author - I read one of his novels - "Lockdown" during well, ....you know. You are so right about North Korea! That book sounds good! I have "Beartown" - haven't read it! What a great haul! WOW! Such beautiful condition, too! I LOVE when that happens!

You got such a wide range of really interesting books! My local shops are nowhere near as good. Somebody donating all the books you want to read just before you enter the store sounds like the premise of a romcom. 149 Krona seems like a lot for a book (in the UK), so that's a real bargain for 1984, though it's emotional impact might exact a higher price. I hope you enjoy the two Fredrik Backman books - Beartown gets quite emotional, has some amazing characters and he has the ability to make you see all sides of a situation. I hope you enjoy all these and look forward to hearing what you think.

Haha it does sound like a premise for a romcom! 😄 That's cute! Yes, 149 kr is more than for a regular paperback, but the ones in English are always more expensive. Many of the new ones cost around 200 kr, so that's no fun! Even more fun though to find them second hand! Thank you! I look forward to them too! 😊

You scored a lot of good books at the thrift stores! One Little Lie sounds really good. I'll be looking forward to hearing your review.. even if I have to wait til winter. :)

I know! I'm thrilled! Yes, I think that one sounds like a good time, I'm very intrigued. Probably perfect for some poolside reading ;D Hopefully I'll get to reading it while it's still sunny!

I’m laughing about the bug and the mug- my first thought was “this is why I don’t go outside”… And the helicopter bug/dragonfly- you’re so funny and cute!! 😂 Anyway haha, great haul, thrifting is just the best and I love that you found so many you were wanting to read! Yay for finding The Hate U Give, 1984, the Backman books, and the Khaled Hosseini books! Can’t wait to hear what you think about them! 😍

Just when everything else is finally setup 😂 And I could not think of the word haha i know they’re called dragonflies but I couldn’t even think of the Swedish word, let alone that. I did! I'm so happy with this haul, especially the Backman books! It's about time I read them. 😊 Herravälde is actually just one word, but I love that you're trying ^^ It translates to "dominion", so it has that double association to dominate and domestic. Like "Herr" in German, it's the same in Swedish, like Mr. But it sounds a lot more formal or old fashioned, as we don't use those kind of words anymore, in most cases we just go straight to first names. Anyway, I think it will be really good. Thank you for being here, I hope you're having a good summer so far! 😊💜
