    Dude it looks so easy when someone pulls off a sick royale. Even the most basic grind takes more commitment than most people have to deal with in their lives. Good for you, dude. Keep it up! I’m getting back into skating after a 10+ year out of the sport. Vids like yours are what’s keeping me motivated to keep trying.

    I love watching these little progress vids. It’s the same trials and tribulations I’m going through and it’s like I’m along for the ride with yours. As always I love the production quality and having that simple coffee scene at the beginning makes you feel that morning struggle. As for the royale itself, I’m happy to see you get it down. I myself am very new to the “actually royale-ing” group. Maybe I’m my own worst critic but I’m still not happy with mine. I wanna get that low stance style and make it look like butter. Thanks as always 2Qs for the vid.

    Dude your comments are always the best. I appreciate you noticing that there’s no music. Picking the music is one of my favorite parts so it was really hard for me to not add any but it was definitely one of my goals going into this video. I wanted a video with a linear story (no commenting back at past footage) And 0 music! Btw glad to see you you on IG 👍

    2QS thanks, brother. I have lots of videos and stuff from when I started back last year but I can’t really invest time into narrating or making them KZread slick. I’ll probably post sections from them on IG over time, along with new footage. But yes. Even fading out your own commentary was a nice touch. It’s beyond awesome that your “completion” section seems to have been done in solitude, without your skate mates. We have a group of 3 like you guys and when we link back up after solo sessions it makes sharing new progress that much more special.

    Hope you don’t mind some unsolicited advice. Your stalls are spot on. You land, then compress and squat lower into the stance. When you are actually doing the trick - you seem to abandon this technique and stand up. When you do that is when you transition back into a front or backside. When you land on the ledge/coping, imagine you are getting pushed down lower (by gravity perhaps?) and sit down into it. You are already there, you just need that muscle memory of getting low! Great video! Love seeing people progress!

  • @TwoQs

    @TwoQs

    zerocontrast I don’t turn my body to be parallel with the ledge or rail. I need to be turning my body a full 90 degrees to be parallel with the ledge. I always turn like 30 degrees and my feet will barely be hanging on to the ledge haha. Some people pick up royales easy so you might not have as many issues as I am.
