You guys are wayyyyyyy too good to be playing in a Pizzaria....it should have been a jam packed stadium with thousands of screaming fans....Mike your voice is something else

Some of the critical singing techniques didn't come naturally. So I had to unlearn some things when it came to vocal placement and vowel modulation, breathing, support, etc. A good teacher can spot your trouble areas and help you correct them. Some people just figure that stuff out naturally. I figured out about 70% of it, and needed guidance on the rest. Mind you, I've "unlearned" some of the things I was taught, too, so some bad habits persist.

I was 40 when that was posted, and I'll let you do the math.... I started singing in 9th grade, and I was pretty horrible for a few years until I learned how to breathe and support properly.

I think some of the credit should go for writing the song . that goes for Bono :-) nevertheless as i always say, they are the best cover band in the world ! moreover, anyone who has been to a U2 concert knows they give one hell of a show.

First time I ever saw U2 - in SLC - was with The Alarm as the opening band, and I thought the same thing about The Alarm. Only luck of the draw made U2 a bigger band, because in 1983, the Alarm was a better band... and they are still touring too, by the way.

Vocals aside, the best thing about this performance is the guitar work, especially The Phil. The delay and the tone are absolutely perfect. It honestly sounds like Bono, Adam, and The Edge sat down in a pizza place to play a show (Larry wasn't invited...). I continue to be blown away by every performance you post. Please keep on doing what you do, because the world is a better place with your covers in it.

Sign to who? He seems happy not needing to be signed by anyone, same with countless others in this age and good for them, corrupt. Talent carries itself with hard work and this guy looks like he really knows hard work. The problem is covers can be appreciated for years but how much will they bring you, you need to create something yourself to leave a mark, talent or not, you have to write something beautiful and have a sprinkle of luck.

There is just something awesome about this. No beautification and props. All about the music. Damn well done.

One of my favorite things about the Internet is watching my friends' reactions when they see a Mike Massé Live At Pie Pizzeria video for the first time. I also find it incredible that U2 has to play this song live in a lower key because Bono can't touch the high notes, but Mike nails them with ease. Legend.

Im from Ireland and seen U2 a bunch of times and bono really can hit those notes live. I sing and play lead guitar in a band and I know how hard it is to sing in bonos register. Honestly Mike masse is without a doubt the best and most impressive vocalist ive heard. so many singers cant sing their studio best live and it shows when they perform. Mike is in a league of his own really strong clear clean and soulful vocals. A true wonder :D Keep it up you are inspiring millions!! myself included:D
