Watch this step-by-step tutorial of how we made this pallet wood art! We will show you every step so you can create one for yourself!
We’ve been in the mood to clean up our shop recently and we also needed to fill a large empty space on our bathroom wall after we sold our jewelry organizer. One of our KZread subscribers suggested that we build something to spruce up a master bathroom, so this pallet project was the perfect way to achieve all our goals!
Anyway, we hope you enjoy this project and as always, let us know if you try this one out! Tag us @SpencleyDesignCo on Instagram so we can check it out!

I hate that click-bait title talking about the selling price. In the video there was no mention of price and the makers kept the item for themselves.

Ahh not saying what you sold it for just royaly pist me off. I've been watching your subscription for months now, but that was just wrong you lost another for your click bait
Sooo, you’re not gonna say how much you sold it for? Was that comment just click bait?

Time stamp the "money" part from the title, please?

Great project! Simple and fun yet very nice piece of art. My only suggestion is that you get a RYobi P310G. It's the 18v caulking gun. It's easy to use and saves your trigger finger.
You never said how much you sold it for...

And they most likely never will!
Great idea, we all have scraps. Wonderful way to use it. Price would be for whatever regions your from. Very sellable item. I LIKE it, good job folks
0:40 An observation and a suggestions: - This looks like a 60 or 80 tooth crosscut blade, not the best for ripping (plus expensive) - I use 7-1/4" circular saw blade when doing rough work like this. The thin kerf creates less waste and rips super easy plus they're inexpensive so there's minimal financial impact if you damage one on lumber like this.
Clickbait....no soup for you.
I loved you all working so well together. I'm new to the channel so this is probably the 6th video I've seen. I am subscribed and am looking forward to see what you all have for us later I will go back and see the other videos later. Quick question... did you sand the boards?
Very Nice - I use Gorilla Construction Adhesive in the field as opposed to wood glue more for production/speed, and a better bond on non-smooth surfaces. I have noticed most construction adhesives, especially Gorilla love a little pressure, especially when bonding non-smooth surfaces. Your holding for a bit when applying really helps to spread the adhesive, but on flat projects, I give them 5 minutes with any kind of weight and see huge increases in bond, and less failures.

I prefer PL3X if I'm not using wood glue.
The piece on the left side of your Gripper push tool is supposed to be resting on he table saw top, its there fpor additional steadiness.

Thank! I have a lot of pallet wood that I need to use.
Howdy.... I've done this pattern multiple times myself. It gets easier and takes less time the more you do it. Did I miss something in the video? Your title says "won't believe what we sold it for". But you didn't sell it, it went in your bathroom. Am I mistaking? Did I miss a segment?
I saw a neat trick on another youtuber's channel which I shall shamelessly propagate here. Where the joins are a bit rough or visible, burnish it down with light taps from a hammer before sealing it. It works as good as sawdust /glue infill and only takes seconds, especially on rougher woods like this project. Cheers for the fun video :)
Video is so good, you dont need to scam viewers with click bait. Shame on you for being dishonest
Where did you get the hardware to hang it with
Nice Project! We like the idea of using the construction glue so you don't need to use brad nails. we would love to see more projects using scrap woods. We have a whole box of scrap pieces and are looking for ideas.

Every time I see you young guys put things on the floor, and then kneel on concrete, I LOL and say "he's gonna' have to find a new way to cut that stuff about 10 yrs from now".
If yall use the caulking gun I would 100% recommend the Milwaukee battery caulking gun it’s a game changer.I think ryobi makes one too
Thanks for sharing! I've been doing my first couple of mosaic pieces and using pallets as well. Did you do any jointing ahead of time? You didn't mention it, but wondered it you had any troubles with things lining up. Seems that is constantly giving me troubles. I know this was a rougher, more natural piece (which looks great btw) but have you done any others where you were looking at making it more flush? Or should I even be worrying about making mine even and flush? Probably overthinking it. Thanks again!

Spencley Design Co. I prefer the rustic, not perfectly even in height, etc. Are you selling these? Also, love the wood in the back of the car. I just went to Lowe’s and had them cut a piece of plywood for me, but miscalculated a few inches and had to have it cut AGAIN to fit! 🤦♀️

First time watching any of your videos. But I do have to say/admit that this video, even only half way through too boot, made this first time viewer, a new follower, subscriber and fan of your work! And I absolutely love the way you pay attention to the smaller details of your projects and how well you not only explain your methods, reasonins, and process of the project at hand, but also how well you describe each step along the way as you go! Thank you for sharing not your beautiful works of art, but also sharing your talent and knowledge and knowhow in building and making your amazingly beautiful works of art! 🫶 Sincerely, Your newest gained fan 😊
Love your videos and how detailed you are when explaining your process. I wish your titles described the video instead of what you use. Sometimes i scroll past your videos because when i see the titles makes me think “click bait” before i realize its you.
I can image a variation . . . Same board to this same level of completion. Then attach a continuous horizontal strip of those magnetic knife holders from left to right, straight down the center line. Maybe even do it with like a 3/4" strip of wood under the magnet strip, to give a bit more depth for visual interest and knuckle room when grabbing a knife. Would be a great way to display a nice set of kitchen knives while keeping them handy and sharp, and not rattling around in a drawer. You can send me a little royalty fee each time you sell one of those upgrade knife displays. (wink wink)
I’d love to see a video on making a garage door from scrap wood and pallets 🎉🥳💪🏾💯🥰
You didn't sell it? Click baited me.... sad
Using adhesive on dirty old wood with an uneven surface and no fasteners is less likely to last long term. The underside of the wood should be planed to give a clean flat surface that can properly bond with the plywood.
I know this is 3 years later but this is beautiful!
I still don't understand the selling portion...? Do you make and sell this? Cost? Price?
Beautiful. Well done.
Love it but kind of lost with the lack of finish. I get the rough look but imagine how nice it would look jointed and run through a drum sander.

Not me thinking it was going to be a table
Leave the perimeter wild and add some lighting
I tried cutting some 2x's in the parking lot and they almost tripped running over themselves to tell us they'd do it. Insurance regulations was my guess.
Nice build.
All of you young people cutting on the floor spent the first half of my work years doing that (or versions of it), which has severely impacted the last half. As I use tables, benches scaffolds, etc now to compensate for the respective injuries I did to myself I realize I could still be Superman if I had just followed this technique from the beginning. On another note, I enjoy watching your videos, it's rare on KZread to find folks whose skills outweigh their tools.
And I can't believe it, using tools us little guys use. I have that same Pittsburgh straightedge. Can't afford Festool and Woodpeckers or a SawStop table saw.
i like you channel, but why title it "people dont believe me when I tell them how much I sold this for" when you dont say anything about selling it?
THAT was live!! 🔥
Ummm…you never said how much you sold it for. This is the last video of yours that I watch, I hate click bait. Thanks but no thanks. I want to compliment your work but I’m too mad about the click bait!
Im a pallet junkie also but lately I've been cleaning up building kids pic nic tables with a torch finish. People love em and say how do you stain it different colors like that.😂. I tell em. Cause Im JB goodburn. They'll figure it out sometime. Good to see others doing well at this. Oh another good seller I came up with, pallet coasters but a 4 x 4 inch skid is no easy build. Good luck

That's really cool but you said you make a lot of money on these things, yet you didn't say how much you sell them for? I would like to know?
Sell one of your pieces and buy yourself a decent caulking gun so frustrating to watch 😂

How much! 🤔
What, the plywood was 70% off and to mark it they sprayed paint on it? I thought it was 70% because they sprayed paint on it...

what is it?
I don't see why you didn't cut the plywood first. That was a ton of wasted time and effort.

Its worth more as kindling. Now I have to cut it up. Beyond shite!
yeah, mark the board so much off for the blemish by making a shitload more unusable with paint!
