Very clean. With regard to losing the key, the owner might have to change many locks to make the building secure again. Especially if the key has the hotel name on it. Enjoyed the video, really mad room!

Good value for money, Dan. Breakfast looked ok. Nice, you had a clean experience this time. Decor not to everyone's taste but had everything in it, and it all worked. Your marigold gloves matched the decor perfectly 😂😂😂😂 . Great video.

Out of all the rooms I've seen you staying in, , all apart from the girly decor, it seemed clean and tidy, and not many BnB provide a mini fridge and a fan , just for a couple of nights that's brilliant

Your pink marigold gloves matched the rooms decor, 🤣😂 breakfast looked good I thought, heathier than a fry up 😂🤣 good price too, you could tell that the owners looked after the place, great video again, keep up the good work, 😊

Overall, a very comfy room, with the exception of the red tiles and mass overload of teen girl decor. I am in no way surprised that Master Bates and Seaman Stains have not left their mark there 😉

You should try the california guest house on Hornby Road. The rooms are smallish but great value for money with how clean they are. I always stay there when visiting Blackpool. The owners Andrea and Pete are lovely also.

Thank goodness, lets hope this is the start of things to come. I live in Bpool, not sure if its all the traffic as im on main rd but its a continuous fight to keep dust free. Big shout out to this B n B, strange decor but least its ok for short stay.

My 1st impression upon you entering the room was it looked like a police cell with the partition from the toilet. I do feel that you was struggling to find faults just for content for the video. Over all impressions was it's a very clean and tidy room despite "girly" decor, definitely the best room you've visited so far! You can tell the owner takes pride in their hotel.

As its only a single room I think the owners had inspiration to think of making an open plan bathroom. Had there been a door in place it would have look cramped, tiny and somewhat claustrophobic. Everyone wants an en-suite and most of the B&B's in Blackpool are within victorian properties so space is limited.

I’ve stayed at some of the cheaper options in Blackpool. In August 2023 my son aged 9 and I stayed at the Highbury Hotel st chads road. Two nights £50 bed and breakfast. So for £25pn we both got breakfast. They normally charge £5 for breakfast so £15 for a night in hotel room was good. You should check them out.

I love watching your videos and that one is one of the cleaner ones

Quite a nice looking place just a shame the bathroom isn't properly separate from the bedroom.

If you lost your house keys would you just get a new key, of course you wouldn't you would replace the lock and that would cost more than £4 or £5 . The room looks very clean and well cared for and for £40 its a good deal , because you don't like the decorations doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the room it looks like the owner cares about the property.

It looks a nice room for 1 night , but a bit too busy looking for more than 1 night, love the red tile effect on the bathroom wall, not sure about not having a door on the bathroom- it’s nice to separate areas, but looks worth the money 👍

Well, I was pleasantly surprised with this particular room. Yes it was on the girly side but so what? At least it was clean enough and very cheerful to look at, not like most of the rooms you stay in which look miserable, bland and soulless. This room had a very homely look to it and very nice indeed. On another note, the saying you were thinking of is 'icing on the cake' haha, easy mistake to make! Yes, a very enjoyable vid this time round instead of the usual disappointment you come up against when booking a low budget room. 👍😊

It’s too busy in that room , the wallpaper has too much going on for a small room, and the bathroom tiles are over the top

Possible idea to wrap up a video is give the place a rating like out of 10. Could do value for money, cleanliness, quality of breakfast and facilities. Could be a good way to keep a record of them all, and when you've done a lot of videos you could do a top 10 B&Bs of Blackpool. Or top 5 budget vacation ideas etc etc

Reminds me of a hostel in Keighley I "lived in" back in the 80s. Complete with the mini fridge too!! 😅

Glad you eventually got in touch with your feminine side Dan xD. I do think the room looked decent/clean which is the or one of the most important things. I share your love of Blackpool - lived all over the country but my time living in Thornton (just down the coast (might be up the coast lol)) was one of the highlights of my youth.

White tiles & light shade of painted walls would improve this little room no end. It is so very clean though & great value for money with the breakfast included.

Just for comparison Dan: I'm staying at the four star Imperial Hotel in March. Cost for four nights including breakfast £188.. Normal cost of breakfast at the imperial is £17.50. Take four breakfasts (£70) off £188 = £118. Divide £118 by four nights and you get £29.50 per night for the room. Don' t know if you fancy trying to suss out some bargain rates in the more expensive places?

The Place has to be one of the cleanest Hotels that I have seen on these vids , But the state of the Toilet will be the one to check , with the UV torch .🙂

Try the Georgian Hollies hotel; it's £120 for a midweek break Monday to Friday, and is half board.

I think all cleaners should be given triple the time to clean the rooms and given a uv light to check after x

Some small build issues , but apart from that , overall pretty good , nice vid Dan ! .🙂👍

It's not just one key, though. One lost key is a change of lock(s) and replacement keys cut for all the other rooms - that's where it mounts up... 5 new keys cut is £25.

Don't mind a room with a bit of personality and character, especially in bnb's, even if it's naff/not your tastes. Much better than places that try to go modern by just painting everything grey.

Quite a nice room not bad, bit strange the bathroom area doesnt have a door that I noticed. Definitely looks quite homely though as you mentioned

I hope your in Blackpool next weekend I'm looking at booking up for 9th Feb until 12th Feb and would be good to see you up there. Back to the video this looks a very nice hotel to stay at and although the room is decorated very feminine, I think it looks really nice and would definitely stay there happily. I think this hotel slightly edges the Winter Gardens one which was also very nice and although I don't stay around the Town Centre, I am considering staying at Friends and Winter Gardens in the near future. It wont be for this weekend coming, as I'll be looking to stay somewhere between Manchester Square and Starr Gate which is the radius I usually prefer to look at staying. I think Friends is definitely value for money and could easily charge more in my opinion and is far superior to some of those dive budget hotels and just goes to show people bang on about you get what you pay for what else you expect for the price, but like you say you expect at least a good standard of cleanliness and this place is showing those places up the cheap hovels they are by keeping on top of cleanliness and a nicely decorated room with good facilities. My only gripe is the breakfast, as although I don't go in for cooked fried breakfasts at hotels these days and prefer a coffee, orange juice and cereal with perhaps toast, I didn't like the look of that continental breakfast. Overall a very nice place to stay and I'll certainly keep it in mind and I'm loving the pink gloves my friend. Hope to you see you if you're around next weekend.

I thought it looked lovely, but I like girlie stuff. Very pretty. But I was imagining what The Hotel Inspector would say! 😂 I understand about the keys, but Blackpool is quite rough (I can say that as I come from Liverpool and I know about rough places) and you could imagine what would happen if the keys got passed on there. Agree so much about the smoking. It sounds like they are trying to run a decent guest house in a place where so many of them are terrible.

I would like to see what you think of The Oak Lea Hotel in Blackpool. It's not very very cheap but it's a hotel I ALWAYS go to.

Mate that place was on four in a bed !!

Hi Dan, liked your latest visit to the "girly" room which looked good especially with the fridge. Bit surprised however that you didn't comment on the loo not being isolated re. "Bathroom" type smells? My wife and I like to visit the Premier at North Pier every month or so for a night for a jollie and it always appears spotless....but I wonder? Worth a visit maybe? Maybe it is like one of those theme hotels where each room is decorated differently. This looks like a romance themed room. Lol

Its a really good price, but the stained mat let the room down

I think on the whole, it was a nice bright room (obviously went mad in B&M) but the only thing I don’t like is the fact the toilet is very exposed and that could be unpleasant

Must try the Atlantis Hotel Blackpool Hull Road I give I a 9/10. I paid £26 a night for 6 nights

Out of all the “cheap” value for money rooms in Blackpool, this one is top of the tree 👍🏻 it was clean and would have been cosy at night by the looks, 😢so I would have no problem with staying somewhere like this if I didn’t want to spend hardly any money 👍🏻

Not bad, I had to stay in a hotel with work and omg, it had a bed and sink that was it,and shared bathroom down the hall, held my pee in too scared to go Loo in the night lol I was only about 17 neve stayed in a hotel😂

Very good for that low price

Seems a real bargain for £36. You even get two curtains unlike that other place you stopped in with a single curtain. Was there an extractor fan in the shower? if not its going to get very damp in the cold.

Great video Suppose it is an upgrade on your last two hotels. Surprised they did breakfast a lot of smaller hotels now have stopped doing them. Hopefully see you on the east coast soon.
