    It's so much easier not to eat 500 calories than it is to burn off 500 calories.

    THIS IS SO TRUE!! They say losing weight is 80 to 90% food and the rest is working out or activity. I only burn like 100 calories walking 1 mile haha.

    I eat two meals a day and limit snacks. Also no sugar sodas! Flavored seltzer is guilt free. Pickleball! 😮

    i do calorie trades,, i chocolate fudge cupcake means no cinnamon toast and no bread on that day.. almost same thing but im an old couch potato now and the cushions seem a bit more stuffed lately

    Yes calorie trades are a great way to still have the food you want but not go overboard, haha.

    I’m 49 and my metabolism isn’t what it used to be. I’m fairly active but the weight keeps adding up over the last few years. It’s really hard to loose weight during the holidays but I’m trying. My biggest problem is soda and sweets

    I hear ya, I am 45 haha. I know the struggle, but still it really just boils down to calories and it is so much easier to just eat a little less. For example I have to walk 4 miles to burn 400 calories which is the equivalent of a normal slice of chocolate cake with frosting haha. But with all those delicious treats during the holidays it can be super hard to resist not gobbling them all up everyday haha. Lots of people see amazing results just by cutting out soda. Or if you are used to drinking 2 sodas a day just cut back to only 1, if you like to eat 2 cookies, cut back to 1 :) I get it though, so many delicious things to make and eat during this time of the year. There is always the New Year and New Year's Resolutions! haha

    True wat u say I too made Christmas sweets fr fly n distributing to neighbors but I didn't eat may be abt 3-4..I eat healthy no butter cheese, sugar or whiteflour products..I exercise but not regular as I'm a widow I hv to do all the marketing n cooking so dis way I burn some calories..maybe ur not diabetic

    How do u manage ur weight when eating pies cakes n cookies n ice cream? It has said sugar can make u gain weight n carbs make u gain weight because it turns into sugar.😮😮

    Hi Patricia like I mentioned in the video it is all about the calories. Portion control, eating less and burning more, etc. You can still eat all that, but it is the amount you are eating in addition to all the other food you eat throughout the day. So if you want to eat extra cookies, cake, ice cream etc. you have to reduce your eating of something else during dinner, lunch, breakfast, OR you have to exercise more to burn those extra calories.

    Metabolism has a lot to do with it. My brother is about 70 pounds light than I am and he eats a lot more than I do. So basically My system is more efficient in turning food into energy than his is.

    I use to think that as well but while it does a play a role, it doesn't play as big of a role as many people think. How much someone eats and drinks.
