My experience in first contacts is that if the bubble spawns on your capital, then it's an extremely likely an enclave. Anywhere else and it's likely an empire.

In my three games today I had a fallen empire so close to me that on day 1 they sent their greetings Luckily not close enough to be actually bothered by them
This would have been great for my Lithoid run where I had so many treaties, that my species became literally half of the entire sl ave market.
This is actually genius. Hopefully gestalt empires get a expansion next.
It would be cool if you could choose the difficulty the game starts a when using scaling, so you could begin the game at admiral difficulty then have it scale to grand admiral

Good luck on your exams!!!
Got me to try this out in my own playthrough, thanks for the inspiration!
Should have made the federation that waives all migration influence costs for maximum cheese made of your vassals.
Could you maybe try the void frame submod for Gigas/ACoT?

This is ridiculous, love it!
I had no idea you could explore with military ships instead of science ships!
Fun build, thanks for the video. They just need to nerf the base acceptance thresholds for AIs to become vassals. It's still way too easy to just vassalize everything in sight, and if you don't do it the AI will. It's very boring and repetitive gameplay pattern IMO.

@@forsakenquery If you hover the button in the vassal screen it will tell you what the weights are that they are considering. Overwhelmingly it is based on the difference in fleet power (which is an innacurrate number for multiple reasons since 3.6). Of course an empire that is stronger or even is unlikely to submit, but anyone weaker should be willing if you give the right conditions.
Stupidly, I've literally used this build (with genome artist instead of brain poacher) and just, didn't think to make my luninary an admiral
I never thought about trying this. For shame. Because I didn't have the level 4 special leader. Oh.
Vassalization should be WAY harder than it is. The entire thing is completely ahistorical, independent states almost never want to give up their autonomy, to say nothing of being exploited for resources. Imagine people just agreeing to become a colony of a foreign power! Honestly most of the subject relations screen should be rolled into a more complex trade agreement system.

@@Zaczac111 Vassalization war, sure. That makes sense. But without a war? Even much smaller states rarely just roll over because a larger state asked them to. I can't even think of a real life example.

Wow
Hi, Ep3o! It seems that you've explored the under one rule origin quite well and particularly the imperial path. So, could you tell me, is it worth it and does it have a way to immortalize and preserve the luminary like the dictatorial path does? Is the imperial path more challenging and beneficial over all?
@eyeball6793

Basically, its a race to complete your ascension path before a bit before y100, if you do it, you get a special ascension perk flavored perk, probably synthetic awareness being the best increasing pop output by 25% with synth ascension, arguably the hardest path to tech rush towards
do you think they're gonna nerf this? is it deliberate?

I will say, vassal spam is not the funnest thing to watch. I get that it’s easy to do and makes the game simple, but it removes far more than it adds imo
@Ep3o

100%, the issue is if I don’t do it, the AI’s will. Making for massive 1v5 wars, just to do anything. May as well do it before they do. Also, actually conquering now is just shooting your self in the foot, vassals are just super strong now. It’s the same as using the ‘good’ weapon builds. Just the state of the game rn unfortunately

@@Ep3o I don't play as much Stellaris as you do but in my last GA/No Scaling playthrough I managed to get 4 secret fealties out of a rival's 5 vassals. Underwhelming as they are, espionage actions like smear campaign can potentially help as well. All in all, it makes for a more involved playthrough than clicking the magic subjugation button until Paradox fixes their game.

@@Ep3o Reading back my message I hope I didn’t come off too negative. I wish the devs would tone down AI vassal/overlords because it is very excessive (or just make it easier for empires to revolt even if they lose). It sucks when the current meta is a boring one.
How do you add negative traits to leaders
