In order for Tom to be no worse off than if he had not made the loan, Dick will have to pay Tom back the original $200 loan plus interest. The interest rate is the rate at which the value of the investment grows, in this case, the mushrooms. Since the mushrooms double in size during the first year, the interest rate is 100%. Therefore, Dick will have to pay Tom back $200 * 2 = $400 in order for Tom to be no worse off than if he had not made the loan. The interest will be $400-$200=$200

Maybe University B because it encourages the ones below the average to eat more than what they usually would. The ones that already eat a lot would be more likely to choose to eat more and pay extra than adjust and eat to fit the 250 mark because its easier for them and more aligns with what they are used to eating.
