Moral of the story, have lots of contacts that trust you enough to send you money.

In the book he does point out that it’s the easy way, asking friends and family for investments. The trick is to have a good enough idea that strangers will want to throw money at you.
A decision is the most powerful thing. Make a decision, start the business, stick to it when it gets hard, and you will win. Great video Noah.

Decision is a big one. I've spent the last 17 years in a dead end, albeit secure job constantly thinking and evaluating business ideas (analysis paralysis) for when I go out on my own. It's a huge time hog. I finally took action last fall with a business idea, made many calls and emails, but realized there was no viable market. Now I am trying a different approach, going directly to industries I like and have upwards growth and asking for their pain points, then building a business based on that. Tony Fadell's book called Build had a good quote . Build a pain killer, not a vitamin.
This guy raised almost $3000 before having the actual business or even writing a single line of code. i feel like i've been doing everything wrong.

Bro. I love this channel. Thank you!
Great video, Noah. You have put your vook to the test. Being rejecyed is very tiring but you never give up and that is what asking for things and eventually having yeses brings you confidence to keep going and closer to, "Million Dollar Weekend." You are a business genuis!!!!!
Hi Noah, I purchased your book and while I agree with most of the points you have in the book and felt it is very helpful in understanding how to start, this video is not the greatest example. Most people wanting to start don't already have a great sphere and colleagues with disposable income to help fund you. What might take you 48 hours might take someone in the projects 48 weeks. A proper video would be you turning a rando you've never met before into a millionaire.
@UP4NONE

I'll gladly volunteer to be that rando
I would love to see the videos following this and documenting the whole process
I love these videos. They just prove we overthink the planning process most of the time. Once you know, just get to the selling. Thanks, Noah!

Noah Kagan is one of my favorite entrepreneurs. I’ve had the privilege of working behind-the-scenes with him on the book marketing. Few entrepreneurs can do AND teach. Noah is one of those special people. 100% recommend checking Million Dollar Weekend out.

you're the best Noah, thank you for the videos, book you just wrote, and your love for tacos!
Love your curiosity and creativity!!!
Noah, I'm going to buy your book right away. You are such an amazing guy, you give good tips, you're completely transparent and honest in all your content. That's what we like. Best!
Would you use kickstarter to raise other money too ?
Great video. I did the coffee challenge today, and the barista was ready! She immediately replied, "Unfortunately, No." Later, I went to Best Buy and asked for a 10 percent discount for Apple Airpod Max. I said I was a Best Buy member, too, but another fast reply, "No." My kid was with me during both asks, and she was confused about why I asked for discounts. What a fun day.
I’m definitely jealous of Noah because even this KZread channel is probably turning into a million dollar business. Mike
I love this biz idea!! $100 for life docusign replacement!
Love the confidence of the man answering the door in his boxers
@noahkagan Docusign replacement is a great idea, and also can't wait for the Loom replacement you mentioned on the pod, if the quality is as good! But I was sad to hear that you weren't planning to do it immediately, I think there'd be a huge market for it!

What is the software he used in the second business idea, the research tool?
Noah has a fantastic attitude
You are so full of energy ❤
Quando teremos teu livro em português? Acho que sou a primeira Brasileira por aqui 🤩🤩
Interesting. How would you proceed now? How do you cover infrastructure cost with 100$ lifetime licenses? How do you deliver the software in the first place? How would you ensure maintenance long term without charging a regular fee?
@KastorFlux
3 ай бұрын
Most software as a service starts with a few lifetime members willing to give feedback to help with product development. As the product matures and you have enough people giving reliable feedback, you switch to recurring subscriptions for new customers. Sometimes there is a period where new customers can't sign up because the product isn't ready to launch to the general public and you have to manage costs. That's not ideal, and with a good plan you don't have to do that. You just switch over to general availability with proper pricing and the expense of the lifetime subs becomes more and more trivial as the business grows.
Got my book now. On the validation stage! Its so much fun haha (A bit scary tho). Great Motivation Noah!
respect bro this was amazing to watch
You’re a brave guy! Love it
I love what you do but the network you have is likely significantly stronger than what some of your followers have access to. But I have rethought my speed to launch offers bc of your content. Keep up the good!!
I just bought his book, however I did not realise I had him on youtube 😂❤❤❤
Is there a link to that Facebook ad search?
@zendoglabs
3 ай бұрын
it’s not fb search, it’s part of the meta ad manager. it shows you the estimated size of the audience you’re targeting. not sure it’s useful for market sizing as meta controls how they define audiences and it may be wild shit in there. the google trends and generally search data is more useful
Another idea is to pay like $1, $5 or $10 per signature I am sure those contracts are worth a lot more and can be prepaid.
I think 4:05 is the wrong way. It could be a super cool niche against the cats! Just because are more cats it does not mean they have more demand. So hamster could be a great subniche - i am wrong ? I mean it could be a niche which nobody does before?
Undoubtedly the most underrated youtube video! Love from India Noah🇮🇳❤
WOW. Make more video like this!
Love you Noah ❤
Next time they ask why, say "because" and any slightly relevant reason. For a taco, "because I'm hungry and cheap." or "because a love a good value."
lead by example !! good demonstration !! just finished your book , mind blowing !! good stuff..
I am enjoying the audio book.

How much did it cost to make the software, testing, licensing etc?

He didn't "start a business." He took money but we don't see him creating anything from it. How is he actually going to go about building software that will rival DocuSign? Is $2700 supposed to be enough to start doing that?
My question is, people keep asking if I had a registered business before they made any deposits!;
You could have offered for a subscription system for your lawn business, so people wouldn't need to think to always book for your service
I want someone to gift me this book, this really looks interesting!!!!!
6:53 - love this question.
This isn't a way to validate if the business is worth $1m. He could start another business and sell it to the same people and they would buy it since they're friends. Boom another $1m business! He should've reached out to local businesses and see if they would buy it.
2:57 Can anyone help me by telling the name of that payment app? I'm from India, so this looks new to me

Hey. I heard you speak in an interview on Tim Ferris page. You said that you can get a Spanish visa or citizenship by using DNA. Can you send me a link of where you saw that info? I dont see that anywhere
This is wild
It's good that you said that you should get paid for ideas. When I just started out I worked for free until a wise man said that I had to ask at least some money for it. He said it would give me the feeling that I had value and that would improve my work and sales. It was 100% true.
Love the video and process. Wish you had done the docusign bizz with cold contacts instead of your rolodex. It would have been at least as hard as the lawn bizz. Former or current service providers like TTers would be stupid to say no to you. Ofc use your assets but you’re trying to make a point with the vid
I was like: "But he has the technical means to create an alternative solution? cool I'm very curious how he's going to do it". 10 minutes of pocket money later "He must have forgotten to put in the interesting and exciting part of the video, too bad, too bad".
