It looks like I will have to be careful about my use of certain Mandarin expressions! I have learned something new! Thanks Jack! You handled that conversation very well and I liked seeing you help the man practice to improve his English speaking ability.

I mean, I'm European as well, and I look at European food and go, you're really going to eat that? Where's the spices? Personally I prefer to eat proper Indian or Arabic food, I know a lot of Iraqis and their food is way better tasting than anything you could find in a Restaurant in Europe. There are of course caveats to everything, Swedish Pizzas are the best Pizzas in Europe, and this comment will upset every Italian out there. But I've had both.

I was listening to a polyglot who spoke Chinese, and I used that word when speaking to a Chinese family. The Mother told me off because I didn't have a clue about what I was saying 😔. It was wrong to repeat words I didn't understand. And now I know what it really means! 😲

@@BritishJackTalks Is there something cultural about it as a casual activity? Is there something people in the UK might do while talking casually that might be similar? Say, using a toothpick? Flossing? Doing their nails? Playing with their hair? Is it a hidden message?

I love your videos but I'm sorry I don't agree with you on this ((The meaning of life is eating many delicious food!!?)). For me the meaning of life is being successful and making a good family and raising nice children, and we all need to make the world a better place, and maybe leaving good things after we die that the world will remember our names. This doesn't mean that we won't enjoy life (Food, clothes, cars...)
