I think you shouldn't focus on recovering the 80k spent on the oil factory, but rather focus on a strategy that makes money. So I suggest you either do olives (which are complicated but have a much greater value increase in olive oil) or plant some other crop and completely abandon the oil factory. You can recover the 80k faster doing other strategy, rather than going all in on it. That said, I really enjoy the series, wish it could progress a bit faster!

Fertilize your fields as soon as they’re harvested, if you can get a roller then you can mulch them for the yield bonus, if you have a planter with fertilizer it’ll be 100% fertilized as soon as you plant it that way. Also the rail silo on the east of the map holds 500,000L free and is right down the street from your oil mill. You can unload and reload in the same place on that one, the one on the west end and of the map the reload point is outside by the road. This is a pretty entertaining series, well done Jake.

I think you should prioritize building out a fleet of machinery and passive income sources on the front end and worry about buying up the property later. If you keep buying fields but are still stuck with the same amount of equipment, you’ll never be able to farm 10+ fields with the same amount of equipment that you have right now. And hire workers.

Hi Jake, I love this series, one recommendation from my side, make the videos longer, you made one 31 minutes one and it was a blast, it don't matter if it takes longer to post, i think it would help. :)

To make more money buy bees if you haven't already and plow most of your fields together also you can use the railroad silos to store any crop

The recording session is the same no matter the video length. Just because a video is shorter doesn’t mean less was done. That being said I’m trying to find a way to speed it up but that’s a challenge.

Also I think looking at the last couple weeks of videos they all do about the same, a week ago was the hour long dad video and a short billionaire video they have the same views in roughly the same time. I think the farming simulator community has longer attention spans and can handle longer form videos.

i have started that challenge, for now i grow wheat and selling chicken egg maybe its a good start

Ok so, this might be a bit too obvious but, if you owned a bucket for the front loader you can clean up the random bit’s of grass that the baler missed and feed those to the sheep directly instead of wasting a higher dollar silage bale. Just saying. 👍🏼

If the object of this series is to make money, may I recommend switching to crops that will allow you to have grass in the winter. I have chickens and sheep so on a few of my fields I plant Sorghum in April and harvest in Aug. I then plant grass on those same fields for the winter months. Once planted I have Sept, October and harvest grass in Nov, then again in April to turn around and plant Sorghum again. Two crops per field. If you are wanting to stick with the oil, Sunflowers can sorta do the same thing. Harvest Sunflowers in Nov then plant grass and then get one harvest of grass in April to then plant your Sunflowers. Two crops one field. What I know about doing that is that it is more time consuming prepping field 2 to 3 times a year vs just once. Your job on KZread is to make content not farm fields. I don't know what that would look like for you to produce all that extra content but for a viewer, seeing you do more with your land instead of the same crop and to support animals on top of it has potential to add more interesting angles to the progression you are working through. As always, I'm consuming this for free and you are doing all the work. I'm extremely happy with whatever you give us. I find your humor to be very funny and the way you present your thoughts is very easy to follow. Keep up the good work, I thank you for your time.

The best and easiest way to make money with the oil facility is sunflowers. You need another planter and header, but it makes a lot more money than canloa oil

I have just started to play this game and found doing a contract for mowing grass and making silage makes great money with the left over bales I get after finishing the contract .. first time I did it I made 78K extra on top of the contract pay.. I have added solar power panels and phone towers to my property and make 70k + per month without working for it.. it this cheating? I am not doing land flipping though, Thanks for the video..

Just at the very start of the video, after answering on your poll. I think for the billionaire series, while yes, ultimately you intend to own all the land, field flipping is 1000% something you should do. Do it as a way to make a lot of money fast, then start buying fields to keep. Heck, you could even flavor it as hiring the other farmers to work for you with their equipment, much like you can work for them with your equipment. One thing I’m not certain of is, if you plant a crop, then sell the field, will the buying farmer do all the maintenance and upkeep on it? That is to say, two stages of fertilizing, weed control, etc. etc. If they will, by the field, harvest it, plant what you want, sell it, buy it back at harvest time.
