I witnessed Sean being quickly kissed by a girl on stage during his tour in Boise. It was when a few people were invited up to play a game against each other. Keep in mind, at the beginning of the show, they told people nobody is allowed to touch or hug Sean, and that people got violent recently. There was a group of people ready to bombard him before he got on his bus that waited for him for two hours after the show ended. I decided to treat him like a human being and to not get the chance to meet him. I'll never forget when Sean mouthed the words, "jesus fucking christ" when the girl just put her face against his without any consent. And Sean carried on as if nothing happened. People don't think about the dangers and trauma of what some fans put the creators through.

Oh my god that is awful. It's absolutely disgusting how people do this. What goes in one's mind while doing such a deed. How does one think about this, like, i will commit a sexual assault on a celebrity and that would be awesome and valid. These kind of people should face some repercussions, this girl should have been kicked out of the fan meet/tour. I am angry just thinking about this.

As someone who got diagnosed with ADD (+ anxiety and depression as "side effects"), I can relate so much to Seán talking about feeling dumb and lazy. And then you get angry at people around you for seemingly doing everything better than you and so effortlessly, when you yourself are in a constant fight with your own progress. I also grew up with people often blaming and scolding me for things that turned out to be completely our of my control. Being diagnosed has been one of the hardest and best things that ever happened to me. And I bet Seán felt similar relief.

We are in the same boat here, I was also diagnosed with ADD and get anxiety. I got out of depression after having it for about 6 years, my mistake was hiding it from everyone for so long. Also the medication I got for my ADD made the depression worse. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that you are not alone in that.

Im sorry you guys have to go through that constant judgement and blame for something that isn’t really even your fault. Its worse when they’re willfully intolerant. Glad you’re at a seemingly better point in your life though.

Jack is such a cool man, he’s not afraid to like what he likes, and he’s been through so much. He’s so unique compared to other creators. He has the energy and sense of wonder of a child. It’s so refreshing to see such a passionate creator. No matter what he does he makes sure to keep going, even if he needs breaks. Through thick and thin he’s always trying to make his fans happy. Keep up the great content Sean and Anthony!!

I really liked the conversation about nostalgia and ‘missing the old days’ as I think it’s just really hit home for me. I know at the moment I struggle for sure with missing the old days. I don’t remember being as anxious as I am now, I didn’t have as many responsibilities and things that in general just stress me out. I mainly thought about the the good times coming home to play video games (which again the idea that video games were better back then) and watching old school KZread and I think it’s hard to realise how much we’ve changed as people as we watch these creators. Jack/Sean is one my favourite creators so I’ve been looking forward to this interview and it was really great to see such important topics brought up.

I relate entirely, I watched Sean as well as Smosh when I was younger and being able to come home after school and watch youtube with my favorite snack and play videogames was amazing. I am now in my 2nd semester of college while still maintaining a full time job to pay for school. Nowadays I am overwhelmed with societal standards, anxiety, stress, depression, and insomnia none of which I had to deal with when I was younger. We immediately see change in the people we watched but hardly notice how much our own lives have changed as well

We had a tough time. Her dad was horrible to us & after we split he never wanted to know how his daughter was. She started to have depression, Anxiety & OCD disorders. I lost my mum her nan in 2017 & I ended up watching funny videos with her . Smosh was a favourite. After my daughter went to University I started to watch KZreadrs covering all sorts of topics. This was an amazing interview. I love the part where Jack said he doesn't want people to overly praise him to the skies constantly for the smallest things. That he want to earn that prise for bigger things and get challanged a bit more like a normal person. We have a Danish word for it, called "Skamrose.' It translated roughly to ShamePraise but it has nothing to do with shame, its just someone blindly praising someone so over the top for the smallest things that its almost a shamefull action, as if the praise is shamefully over the top if you will. Like if a mother praises their kid for everything they do, even painting a line on a paper and either causes the kid to gain a god complex, or become extremely shot down mentallt as they grow when they learn the world doesnt revolve around them and not everything they do is as amazing as the mother lead on to be. Its such a usefull word tbh. Because when you think about it, praise when taken too far can do more damage to the person one praise or make the meaning of praise and accomplishments loose their meaning. Its so important to support your favorite content creators, but do it with thought and balance, so it helps build them up ❤️ but genuinly and properly.

it's pretty rare to see a content creator not just speak up about suicide, but speak up about their own thoughts. i appreciate and applaud sean so much. it's hard for most people to talk about in just their day to day lives to people they care about but to be able to speak up about it to the whole internet takes so much strength and it's a very good thing. so many speak about "you are not alone" but very few truly show that people aren't alone. sean's whole story is basically "no matter how alone you may feel, you never are. people out there will feel the same" without saying it, proving it, and i'm thankful for him and his existence in this space. i've struggled with depression since my teenage years and around the years i was really struggling, i found sean and without people like him and mark giving me any semblance of hope, idk if i'd be here today.

I know this is me just speaking into the void, but God Jack's explanation of his health anxiety and his father felt like a narration of my own life. My grandmother is the only person in my family who's ever understood the deep rooted health anxiety I seem to have inherited from her, and the past month has just been Soul-crushingly heavy as I've watched her health decline and seen so much of the same fear and anxiety in her eyes. She's like a second mom to me and I'm cherishing every moment I have with her still, but watching her suffer with the same neuroses I recognize in myself has made me determined to seek help and fucking LIVE my life free of this obsessive fear of dying. Cosmically poignant timing aside, thank both of you for this interview. There isn't words to describe how much I needed to hear this today.

When Séan and Anthony talk about holding idols up to a perfect standards and how dehumanizing that can be, it really reiterates and makes me feel supported in a view I've been proud to have and proud to share and that is this: you can have a favorite artist and still not like a song of theirs. You can have a favorite KZreadr and not like every video. Having positive and constructive opinions about the things you care most about feels much healthier to me than an all encompassing approval no matter what it is. I know in some fandoms I can feel very attacked and scared to have any kind of negative thought but hearing from the source creators that having a mix of opinions is more comfortable and helpful, makes me feel good. This all might make no sense but here it is 😅 have a lovely wonderful day to anyone who took the time to read this 💜

I am also like this. I think it makes things you love a lot more enjoyable too. Forcing yourself to like everything associated with something just out of devotion is not healthy or fun. It is not a requirement for something to be your favorite. Favorite just means you have a higher preference of that specific one than the others in that category. You might completelt hate an album by an artist but if 80% of all music you listen to is that artist's, that still means they are still your favorite singer. It's just that specific album is not a favorite haha

Related hard when Sean talked about growing up feeling stupid due to ADHD. I only got diagnosed in my 20s in 2020. And shortly after I dropped out of university because I couldn't keep up and it was causing me to have panic attacks. Definitely felt very stupid, wondered how I could struggle so much when other people in my classes didn't, and feeling like a failure when I dropped out to reevaluate what I actually want to do/what I CAN do. While I know not everyone with ADHD will acquire the success Sean has, just hearing from someone as successful as him say that it's possible to figure out where you fit when you have a learning disability helped a bit. That while it might not be doing traditional work, and it might take a while to get there, there's still a chance you can figure out where you excell.

Of course you can. You are on the bumpier, more winding road but there are others who are/have and will be taking that same path. There aren’t any deadlines, you do the best you can. ADHD is a beast on a good day, now do it under stressful situations that you are unprepared for is insane! You’ll find your place and tribe, accept only those who are cheerleaders and want what is best for you. I have a secret, those of us without ADHD still don’t know what we want to do or will end up doing. We are all just winging it most of the time. So be good to yourself! Life isn’t fair or easy, those people who look like they have it all figured out, they don’t. We learn, we try and sometimes we get it right. Be empathetic, kind and honest and you’ll be a better person that most, but also be occasionally be selfish, treat yourself and take time for you. Best wishes, you’ll get it figured out-ish. 😁

Jack just has something special that I can't find in any other content creators and I can't quite pinpoint what it is. It's like this mixture of honesty and openness with healthy boundaries, and a great balance of seriousness and fun. His outlook on life and himself is refreshingly realistic while still being positive and fun. He doesn't need dramatics to be entertaining and doesn't try to create an illusion of himself or his content to steer people to perceive them in some specific way he wants. I could try and explain it but I'd still feel like I'm not expressing it just right tbh. So I'll just say, I feel very lucky that this man decided to make a youtube channel cause his content has consistently been a source of fun and comfort for me for more than 4 years now. Anyways, love this video. I would have loved to watch the whole uncut conversation honestly.

I love how Sean just explains how he didn’t want to throw away the little boy inside of his heart. My uncle explained to me how there’s two groups of people, one being the people who still have that child inside of them, still having fun and being happy. And then being the other group who just threw that child away and became so angry and grumpy. However, I can really agree with Sean on the “not doing well in school” part, because for the past few years going through Junior High, Freshman, and now Sophomore year I haven’t been doing so well in school and not studying, doing my homework, etc. and I’ve been beginning to think that I might have ADHD. My parents really don’t understand when they say I’m not stupid when I call myself stupid. Anyway, you guys are amazing, love ya’ll ❤️

I started watching Jack 2017 while in a mental hospital. I was scrolling KZread looking for something to distract myself with when I saw one of his videos, I recognized his name so I clicked on it. Now I'm a huge fan, and so is my mom. Two legends in one room, you're spoiling us, Anthony. I love this series and have got my daughter watching them too. She identifies as non binary bisexual, she is 14 yo and told me she found your videos informative. She says your videos helped her understand herself a little better and they have helped me to understand her and converse with her more. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, that is the reason I continue to watch your amazing content 💖🤗

Hey hun, just letting you know that you probably don't mean to but it looks like you're misgendering your kid by calling them femine pronouns. Most non-binary people prefer genderneutral pronouns, they/them and being referred to in a genderneutral way- that's sort of the whole point of being non-binary: not aligning yourself with either gender binary. Perhaps it would be good to ask them how they want to be referred to- I'm just a stranger on the internet after all, perhaps they're still okay with being referred to in a feminine way. I can tell you mean well from the sweet comment you made, so I just thought I'd return that positive energy. Take care!

I really appreciate when someone lets me know I've made a mistake, after all I can't correct it if I don't know. We both have a lot to learn, but we're learning together and with lovely people like yourself to help and advise us we'll get there in the end. Take care 💖🤗

as much nostalgia as i have for the time when i had just started watching sean (circa 2016), i'm also incredibly happy that i've grown up as his content has evolved. he started as somewhat of a family figure for me, and now that i'm more mature and secure i view him as more of a mentor. he taught me lessons when i was younger, and now i know how to apply those lessons to my daily life. i've had moments where i'll be watching one of sean's videos, and he'll talk about improving a certain aspect of himself/his life that i happen to be working on at the same time. it's impossible for me to fully articulate lol, but i just find his presence so comforting. i hope sean, and i, and all of his other viewers can continue to have nice moments like these. 💗 thank you anthony for another lovely piece ^-^
