I spent 24 Hours in Portland, Oregon
Portland, Oregon is an amazingly diverse city with a BIG personality. It's been the center of a lot of slanderous propaganda in the media as of late as we've dealt with severe homelessness, drug problems, and many intense riots during the Police Brutality Movements. Portland is an awesome place to live as there is so much today in the outdoors and hikes, we have the Oregon Coast just over an hour's drive away, and we have Multnomah Falls 45 minutes east just the beautiful Willamette River running through town. If you are in town you have your pick of breweries, coffee shops, and bookstores (Powell's is the most well-known) you have weird and strange stores throughout, great doughnut shops (don't go to Voodoo Doughnuts), amazing food carts, great views of Mt. Hood from Pittock Mansion, and St. Johns Bridge, and it's just a great Oregon city. It's tough to see the slander, but I hope that I can make some videos that shine a light on how cool this city can be. It's very LGBTQ+ friendly and a great city for all types of people.
I wish it was more diverse, I wish there was less crime, and I wish the city could return to its old identity, and I hope to be a voice for the city, Love you Portland.

Hey let's visit Portland to go to a book store and ignore the drug use
Used to live there back in it’s prime. Now it’s very dangerous, run down, boarded up, and a lot of businesses are closed. You didn’t show the fentanyl people everywhere or the garbage and bum camps everywhere, so I’m wondering who, if anyone sponsored your trip and why. Portland is a NIGHTMARE now. All the contractors I know ask for double pay to even work there, and many won’t even do that. Can’t pay people to work there even😔
Love that you showcased some of the positives instead of emphasizing the depressing parts. It’s not like anyone isn’t already aware of our drawbacks. , which this place is truly much more. But it is really a shame that most tourists come here and focus on Downtown, which is easily the most culturally devoid region of Portland. The desirable areas of northeast and southeast Portland are where you wanna be to get a good taste of Portland culture and more unique attractions
Portland is not really diverse if you've lived in a bigger city. It's only diverse if you're coming from the middle of nowhere. I guess it's all perspective.
It's not propaganda if it's true. I live here, I aint leaving, but there are SERIOUS problems here. Of course you can drive out of the city and be in some of the most beautiful nature in the United States, however Portland as a city is pretty broken right now.
Thank you for making a video about the good of Portland and not focusing on the bad like @leebobby1987
I feel as if a lot of times portland gets overdone in the media and on social media, if you just stay off specific streets, it is an amazing place.
Ignoring the problems of OREGON does not make everything ok. You are totally 💯 % misleading your audience. I know because I left Oregon in 2021. Oregon is my birth state and I miss it.
I want to move by the end of 2025 to Oregon.
I highly recommend a historic, indie 🤓 theater like “Hollywood”
Great overview! Sorry the mountain wasn't out ⛰ Really happy you featured the Japanese Garden.
Thanks! I learned some new things today!
That “ramen” looks good lol 😂glad it was good! We love checking out food trucks on our trips! The Japanese gardens look so nice!
I love portland and oregon
Omg I’ve been obsesssed with Portland forever. I need to make it out there. But I’m broke in NYC right now. Thanks for doing this. Y’all are my people.
Hey I've been living here for 12 years and thanks for showing people this place is not a wasteland. I really miss our town. And I know it's still here, we gotta get our quirky shit hole back. Thank you again
love it! thanks for posting !
Cool looking AirBNB. If I was hosting an AirBNB with a loft, I think stairs would be better in my opinion:)
I’d like to check out this city sometime. I live in salt lake city and the cities seem kind of similar. Got a large housing issue here as well which sucks but I’ll have to check Portland out sometime!
Come up to the mississippi ave area some time!
