Too bad this was around the time they didn’t have the assistance button. I remember the figure and plush selections, since I was playing around the same time.

The Mistake you make is that you kept going for the same machine, try one or two attempts and if no progress is made go for something else. you have a lot of options.

Having played these in Japan, while I did win something once in less than 5 attempts, you really need to be selective lol. That one was a Detective Pikachu beach towel and only required needing to move it to an edge of the machine. Plushies, pillows, clothing, food, and (sometimes) small novelty items are usually the easiest to win at. @3:57 That's generally a trap. These types are probably the hardest to win and probably not worth trying for. That rubber/plastic grip is the killer. When the box is like that, you're kind of fucked. You can still win, but it'll take a crapload of tries to nudge it the way you want (looking at $50+ for something valued at maybe $10-20). There are different strategies for different starting setups, but none of them are foolproof. Variables like varying crane arm strength (one or both), angle, etc are important factors.

i got two figures pretty easy then spent about 40 tries on another and couldnt get it. Ended up with two rem figures and a miku watch. It can be insanely hard to get anything at times.

@@rainvra about $300 in total with 11 prizes won since i started. Comes out to about $27 per prize. I would probably be better off ordering from Mandarake or AmiAmi. If you do play watch the last winner replay to see what they did to win.

As someone who has played Toreba and Claw JP a lot, this one looks really bad compared to the other two.

The biggest plus to Toreba is the Assist feature as well as the easy win machines that just cost more per try. If you are careful and test the waters using your 3 free trys a day, you can win without paying too much. Just depends on your patience, being able to limit yourself, and testing the machines before going all in with your money.

You would just need to be lucky or very knowledgeable as to how to win these things. I’ve won stuff within just one attempt and there are cranes that get you something under 8 pulls if you tug on the right corners. I stopped because the connection was terrible and it would cost me a prize. Getting my gems back wasn’t even worth at that point knowing someone else got the prize I was going to get 😭
