Buddhism is amazing! There is another similar to it, it is following the Wisdom of Marcus Aurelius. Unfortunately, it is not a religion. To me, I made it into one but instead of calling it religion, it is veneration because it appears there are people who follow the Wisdom of Marcus Aurelius world-wide. I call it- Marcureanism.

Be very careful when you are going to learn buddhism. Some monks does not tell exactly what Thripitaka says. Some monks say what they think is right. So be careful. Dont forget to learn Theravada buddhism if not u would not get what actually buddha was teached

Buddha's ways are deeply true and that is the same just like today's science. Buddha always says to try on urself. If u want to be something,u have to try to get it.Praying on god is useless because u must know urself what u want. Buddha is a pointer who always point the good ways and to obey the rules of human ethic and he is not a creator. All buddhisms know that❤

Agreed ... Generally. Athiesm is not Religion though I'm glad he is including Athiesm as well. Agnostic & Atheism are actually the same thing. Athiesm doesn't try to tackle "is their a God?" because its not actually possible to know. so we Focus on life itself.

@@Nothinglawr what u assume as worshipping Buddha is not the same as worshipping God First, Buddha is not a God. Depends on what u describe as God? Most people assume that there is a single entity that creates the world and living beings. There is no such entity in Buddhism. Buddha through his direct observation, learn that beings are created by their own karma. Yes, there also exist universal / natural laws, such as law of impermanence, law of how the life death cycle works, of how karma works etc, yet through his direct observation, Buddha cant find the first cause / creator of this life cycle besides of worldy desires / attachment (desires to indulge in wordly senses and desire to come into existence) What Buddha taught us are those particular knowledge, especially on how to break this suffering life, death and rebirth cycle (called samsara) Second, the action of worshipping, such as bowing, offering incense etc is actually part of ritual and tradition, which is more like honoring Buddha’s efforts in gaining those particular knowledge through countless lifetimes and then teaching it to us The ritual is to show gratitude and respect for that teaching. in fact the ritual itself is also an wordly attachment. Once you achieve the first of the 4 stages of enlightment, you will notice such rituals / worshipping doesnt really help in liberating the suffering cycle. so, in recap Buddha is not God, cause there is no such omnipotent being like creator. instead there are natural laws that give orders how universe and its beings works Worshiping is more like the act of showing gratitude and respect for the Buddha’s teachings. Hope you get a clearer point of view now Feel free to ask further, cause i am enthusiast and just starting to dig deeper Buddha teachings since my father’s death a year ago, and it was like finding truly valuable gems in those teachings

after watching this video, I am thinking about myself. I'm 21 now but i still not let go of the attachment and live in my parents' house, I cannot accept the situation living alone, no parents stay with me, go to a strange city and start my career... but nothing lasts forever, the only person makes me happy is myself, nobody else can do this for me because they will leave me one day. It is a very amazing video about Buddhism , everything is just temporary.

Wow...the words of the monk in the video is full of wisdom. I am a hindu but really don't like gods and everything just want to follow what makes me happy and others thinking whether I'm doing right or wrong and how it effects me and others. But i never got clarity that much...but the words of monk gave me a confidence and open my mind to see new perspective and i almost cried when he said the difference between love and attachment❤ and i gasped at the realisation of the wise words "the act of changing is the only thing that is forever" Damn... it's great ❤❤

In eastern tradition, we will worship our teacher n parents in the past, n some country like Korea n Japan also practising, to show our respect to them, as thr Buddha is our great Teacher, so we shall worship him. As in Abrahamic religion, it only teaches u thar u should only to worship the one n only god, n that is the reason u will come out with this question.

You have selected the best Thero to learn buddhism. I'm following this Thero's youtube channel and the preachings changed me alot. And also i'm sad about one thing. No matter how good your video is, i mean you learnt about Buddhism and you created a video to let us know your experience but, people are commenting in such a bad way. I saw some comments saying that they are happy to be a Buddhist and all sort of things but, some toxic people from other religions keep replying harsh things. They wanna force others to follow their religion. As a Buddhist, I have never commented someone to force that person to follow buddhism cause, it's our own choice to select what's best for us. Those people who comment harsh things, i don't think that they follow their religion in the perfect way. Maybe they have a religion just because their parents are from the religion but, i actually can't believe their religiousness and also no one might have taught them about humanity, not even from their religions. Sad about it. But i wonder why i don't see those type of comments related to their religions (except buddhism). Anyways, you have learnt something new and you shared your experience with everyone. We learn until we die. You are a perfect example for that Nas. Keep learning more.
