@@Brandizzleizzle there is certainly a limit to it dictated by what the human body can handle but inevitably almost no matter how much power you have you will eventually become accustomed to if. 350 HP in a small car feels very fast going from dailying say a Prius, but that 350 feels like a Prius to someone who daily drives a Hellcat, and the Hellcat can even feel like a Prius to some of the crazy drag racer guys. I remember seeing a video discussing how astronauts react to launching, and the one point that really stuck out to me was how they’d become so used to the acceleration and G-Force that despite feeling like they weigh over 3 times their normal weight, their heart rate doesn’t even increase at all during launch. If someone can become accustomed to literally accelerating off the earth, then they will inevitably become used to even the fastest cars men can build

I ordered my V8 from the local dealership and the day it came in the dealer offered me $28,500 profit over what I paid. So I never got to drive it but love my new Camero SS

@@beanzz801 Once you can afford nicer things, you get "anchored" and start disdaining the cheap stuff. E.g., now that my old lady is pampered with heated/ventilated leather seats every day, I probably won't be able to bring myself to driving the old beater I had as my first car. Or now that I can afford to eat out at a real restaurant, I'm never stepping into McDonald's/Burger King except to take a leak during a road trip.

6:45 I had a 76 Chevy C10 in that same yellow/green, 400 small block and 4 speed with the lowest geared granny you ever seen. Had to be a forest service or fire truck at one point, i loved that thing. Used to pack the local sprint car track with it every weekend. Hope you are alive somewhere Piss Monster.

sa-x right on man! To me, I have an amazing relationship with God and he takes care of me so well I walk around with the peace of God singing most of the time. When bad things happen they mean nothing to me because I know he’s got me and he’s never not taken care of me, and I know he will never leave me. So to me when I see people like this who are envious over material items I feel bad.. we can’t take any of this stuff with us and it means nothing.. sure I have toys but they are to occupy me when I am bored they aren’t anything more than that... to me the only real thing that matters to me is my relationship with my father and knowing who I am in him. Meanwhile, little kids get excited when the firetruck honks the horn. The most primal example of happiness. This guy is driving his own firetruck at his own race track. When I clicked this I was thinking "well that was dumb, you've just lost a tonne of money buying a brand new car and then selling it after a month!" But you MADE 30 GRAND? Sweet honey barbecue...

The first part of the video I was thinking: "Cleetus done growed up" but then the air horn in the fire truck proved not "all growed up". Not that you need any of us fans permission to sell your car but I for one thank you for putting the track and the fans ahead of your car. I can't wait to sit down on the new bleechers and watch the Freedom 500 or drifting or whatever is going on that weekend. Nothing wrong with changing up soda brands ever now and again. Keeps the taste buds on their toes.

Bought a racetrack right before the world shut down, hurting for hundreds of thousands of dollars to make it fully ready, just found out he can sell his (extremely rare) dream car, which has half the power of what he wants and can barely be modded---and make a profit off it---to pay for all sorts of stuff he needs done... yeah I'd do it, too.

You know I sometimes wonder where I’ll be in a few years. Then I remember that I first saw Cleetus McFarland putting turbo whistles in the exhaust of his c7 and a rubber chicken head on the blowoff valve in his dodge. My dad inlaw at 92 had an issue with the post office you live on a mountain and the gate on your driveway makes the mail carrier have to turn around in the road. Pop goes to the post office with his 91 year old wife tells the post master what for then 💦 in the parking lot . Mom they probably called the police pop there was a cigarette I just made sure it was out sharp right to the end oh and yes he did drive a fire truck

well said @Riley A. aswell its funny to see people complain while it aint even theres you know, be happy a cool guy uploads and records this stuff, couse he didnt have to, and to be honest, im Happy he got rid of that ugly slow C8, i rather get back to the classic Corvette's, i dont like the newer versions, the front looks so small and flat, while the back looks like a fat big ass lifted up... i dont see the beuty in this C8 version but that is just my opinion. i like the Firetruck & Ruby way more!!!.

Doug Montgomery I wouldn’t paint them. Stain them and then add some kind of sealer, like Thompson’s and such. Paints a pita and once it starts to peel your looking at a LOT of work to sand and repaint.

@@TheHungrySlug Its a 24 hour drive for me to get to florida but looking at flight costs I could pay as little as $97 for a round trip ticket. I will definitely visit the Freedom Factory some day, and hopefully many times.

IMO it’s a smart business call to put the money in the track profits from an operational track will be huge for y’all and the fact that you respect the corvette enough to not want to destroy what will be an iconic first launch of the c8 says a lot to me about the kind of person and character you possess. Keep up the great content Cleater!

Probably an unpopular opinion but I prefer almost everything about the C7 to the C8 anyway

True, but I do love the excellent balance and traction of the c8. Definitely agree with him selling it. I would love to see him with a c8 z06 or zr1. A twin turbo flat plane would be awesome.

@@alanday5209 don't have to be having a dig at cleet to be a dickhead. I love humour but I don't think you have a great handle on it, nor patience. It was just dumb to even comment on it at all. The firetruck cost 6k but has been worth more, the vette? Not so much, might as well move it while it's hot cos it's all down hill from not too long. Like I said, you jumped on to grab your attention before he'd even finished talking about it.

I remember seeing a comment that you were selling it, I first thought no way, but then when you started removing things from your fleet to work on the track to get it ready to have people in it made sense. Plus hell that was some good profit for a month!

Hey there he goes again in unregistered and uninsured vehicle; whoo whee ticket time

Should have JR up the HPon the fire truck, straight pipe it, and bit not least tune/ add a shift kit to the Allison transmission. You should be able to adjust shift points and adjust the TQ lock up to where use can use all that torque to get up to speed. If it has a 15liter engine you should be able to get 625+ hp and 2,000+ torque at the crank pretty easily.

As soon as he said $30k profit I was like duh I'd sell it too lol. It may have appreciated right now but once everyone has one they'll depreciate just as bad as the last vette
