I SOLD ALL MY THINGS | Moving to....
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Goodbye things. Yeah, I actually did it! I sold all my possessions and I'm moving to ASIA!!! ( Okay, I have to finish Uni first and then ASIA). In this video, I share my life updates and how I'm taking minimalism to a new extreme by living out of a carry-on. I'm so excited to bring you along this next journey.
Frequently asked questions:
Who are you going to Asia with?
Me, myself, and I
How are you paying for your trip?
Savings and working remotely. Also, it's not a trip. It's a lifestyle.
Are you scared?
Heck yes, but isn't that the fun part?
Where in Asia?
Starting in Indonesia and then flexible from there. Any recommendations?
Can I hang out with you when you are in my country/city?
YASSS. DM me on Instagram if I am in your city! Let's get ZW tea or the equivalent in your country.
Are you backpacking?
Yes, without the backpack... Gurl, I like wheels.
Why are you doing this?
TBA 😉

I get the point of minimalism, but after my dad died i was greatful for all the pictures and thinks that can now reminde me of the great time, because that's now the only thing that's left. So don't get me wrong, i think in the consumerist society we all live, it's Important and good to free yourself from all the things that drag you down ( also regarding to the effects by producing all the items and the often poor conditions for the workers) but i think that you should think twice about that stuff you have a strong emotional bond and memorys left, because you could regret it. I hope you understand me and i am sorry for my bad english skills

The Girl Gone Green I'm flying to Bangkok on October 17th, and then I don't really have plans, I want to go with the flow. But I think I won't stay in Bangkok for long and head to the North, Chiang Mai and Pai. Then I want to go to Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, the Philippines and Indonesia. At least ^^ So there's a chance I'll be in Bali when you are there, depending on the order in which I do things :) Do you also plan on going to other places in SE Asia?
I'm so jealous, happy and excited for you!!! That's so awesome! I wish you all the best in your journey!

good for you and good luck on your adventure. I wish you safe travels and look forward to seeing what you get up to. we sold our house and most of our things before moving back into my parents house (empty after my mum died) so we could save up and I am currently living out of a rucksack and traveling around Asia with my husband and baby girl (in Bali at the moment). I love living with the basic essentials and living a more simple existence! I even left my phone behind :) best wishes x
You're living my dream. You really did inspire me to take that step. Thank you! 😄
Looking forward to your travels!!! I had an apartment and decided to move home with my parents for grad school - an awesome decision as I have NO SCHOOL DEBT! I worked and had no rent because my parents are awesome. I lived there til I was 27 years old, and simply helped out around the house and the dog, and they loved it!

How freeing is it for the parents?
I commute an hour and a half each way, 5 days a week to go to school full time. I don't regret moving back home to complete my undergrad, I'm saving thousands each year, and I feel like I have done a lot of maturing, especially in terms of time management. You can do it! It takes getting used to but you seem like someone who will complete whatever you set your mind to 💕 Best of luck!
Best of wishes in all of your life projects, I see a lot of courage on taking these decisions! Cheers!

Yes, I will do that! Do you have any Bali recommendations?
@kaceyg1758
7 жыл бұрын
Yes! I stayed in Sanur which is in the SE part of the island. This is a great spot to stay if you are looking to scuba dive frequently. I completed a dive master internship at Blue Season Bali and had a great experience, so if you are looking to snorkel, dive, or get any certifications I highly recommend them. If you get a chance, definitely go diving/snorkeling off the coast of Nusa Penida, which is a smaller nearby island. Depending on where you are staying it is an easy day trip. Manta Point is my favorite dive site I've every been to and is great for snorkeling as well. Other common places to stay are near Canggu and Ubud. Canggu is on the coast and is hub for surfers and surf lessons. I also heard there are great co-working spaces in that area, but did not use any of them personally. Ubud is another common place to stay. There are a lot of yoga centers, cultural experiences, and great restaurants in that area. The only downside is Ubud is inland, so no beach. Common activities near Ubud include visiting the rice terraces (which was beautiful, but very touristy in the main sections), the monkey forest (which was really incredible, but also pretty touristy), and visiting temples (definitely a must see). My favorite temple I visited was the temple of holy water (Pura Titra Empul). If you decide to stay near Sanur, let me know and I can provide additional information on guest houses and restaurants that I enjoyed in the area. I hope that helps and is enough to get you started in the planning process!
I need to do this! So inspirational to see people reduce their green footprint and live with less. I feel like I definitely need to do this and reduce my amount of spending. Not only does it help your head space but also just your general well being. Great video beauty! Just subbed found your channel through another channel!

Sounds so super exciting!!! I want to move to Europe and travel. 🖤 I just finished up my wee baby associates degree and I'm working two jobs, one full and one part time, while building up my own platform and business. :o) right now I'm just establishing myself while also working towards paying off stuff like my car. My dream is to be able to move to Europe in the next five years or so and when I do, I'll probably give my car to my family. However I also want to make sure I help my family as much as possible first. Long road ahead of me but I'm excited. honestly i didnt get the backpacking answer. do you go without anything honestly?
I’ve been thinking about doing the same but it’s just so much. I’m getting older and wiser with my money. Use to love shopping and buying new things but now it’s just something else to add to the rest of my stuff. I’m 31 and have a 4 bedroom/3 1/2 bathroom home with garage but is still paying $145 for a storage unit. I’m also ready to go back to a simple life of just a few things and one car.

Hi 💚 I suggest saving to pay them off. I made a lot of decisions to avoid debt. I transferred to an in state university. I also had financial support from my parents so I've been privileged that sense. I recommend trying to living cheap and pay off as much as you can first. There are some great resources such as Mr. Money Mustache and Dave Ramsey that might be able to help.

You need to go to Malta after Indonesia!!!!! For starters it's INSANELY underrated, but also from Malta your just a short distance away from 3 different continents which means you could pretty much go anywhere afterwards.
I'm interested to hear the tba on why you're doing this. You're very brave though. Perhaps that's reason enough -- why not challenge yourself to expand what you're capable of? I wish you the best.

How are you selling your things? Are you using an app? I'm trying to sell my stuff but the various apps I've tried haven't been successful.
@josephinewinter

they say facebook groups are good. Ebay: for things that will sell high, like rare (desirable rare) vinyl, computers, start at 99p and watch it soar. For low-value things (clothes, rare but not highly desired vinyl) set a price and just wait a year, slow but sure. Or car-boot sales (yard sales? some terms don't translate) and bulk-selling eg to dealers, secondhand shops, or on ebay as 'bundle of x' 'job lot of x suit carboot sale' or as job lots at auction houses.

Alanna R -Letgo and Offerup are great apps to sell usedthings. I sold a desk within an hour of posting on OfferUp! And the apps are super easy to use and not as tedious as Craigslist. Plus you don't have to use your phone number you just message people through the app so you won't get any spam.

Two mths ago I came to living solutions One items of each (no double no need spare I choose good quality but qualified in what I need for daily basic of living) I have skimmed down to 4 boxesAnd life is never need to have a second thought of the secondary of thinking of those things. Part of living minimalist is "lived to letting go" I'm an Asian , Buddhism, and minimalist. I have studied your vdo before I saying bye to the maximize life. Part of the keys of living minimalist life is be the good tidy.

I'm a cluster person as been living alone and been living in the city for a long times where there are many option (options of consumerist). I really talking to myself because once you can't connect to the bottom of your innermost you will be trapped in those marketings of buy more but use it's less. If I display the object it would have to be use able killing the show (show unit item) it's strange to buy thing and find thing to displayed it. Btw I don't support IKEA items as the idea has become that you soon collect the small items that still become future waste.
@TheGirlGoneGreen

Ikea stuff also doesn't last long. That's great that you are minimizing your things. It can be easy to get stuck in the consumeristic ways.
