Trailblzaer fought it 56 seconds on the dot lone before it died and was about to blow up hertas space station like no big deal, still wondering what Ruan Mei's "assistance" wouldve been at that point

"Her Majesty" is Titania, the False Empress of Glamoth. Basically, she was an engineered woman from whom all the Fireflies were templated and who commanded them telepathically through dreams. She wasn't "real," though; her Empire was a motivational fantasy to keep the Iron Cavalry fighting while she was controlled by the ruling council of the Republic of Glamoth (who feared her realizing she could take power with the Iron Cavalry under her command). Basically, they weren't just fighting for something that was already dead like Firefly said; they were fighting and dying for something that never really existed at all.

What's more, the Fyrefly units were all 'Boy In The Incubator' and 'Girl In The Incubator' type of characters. Like all of the clones Otto had made, but with the sole purpose of fighting. It's a good thing for the universe they were aimed at the Swarm, otherwise who knows who or what might have survived in the end. Or perhaps it's in the hope of something good surviving, of life reasserting itself, that our Firefly was able to keep on fighting, you might say, "for all that is beautiful in the world." You can't convince me Firefly _isn't_ Kiana Kaslana in this game. She's a clone with great power that might kill her if she uses it too much, a being balancing her own destruction against that of the world she's trying to protect. "Kaslanas die, but never yield!" indeed. Maybe it wasn't originally her choice to take the oath, but it seems she did. Firefly is so much more than just a Glamoth Iron Cavalry, just like Kiana is more than just a Human with Herrscher powers. And for that, there will be those who will always, in turn, protect _her_ . People like Trailblazer... and Acheron. If they also met Bronya, then the Trio will again be together. Although Bronya needs to awaken to becoming an Emanator to be on their level for sure.

Im gonna be honest, i don't deep dive into the lore, but before this i just pictured The Swarm to be scattered around the universe in , yknow, small swarms. This "small swarm" ended up being this in the video ... fully capable of wiping out an advanced civilization and then some. And then we have mfs like Ruan Mei trying to play god and bring their Aeon back.

@@izumolee6714 As josh mentioned, the glamoth civilization was long since destroyed. The remnants of glamoth (the Iron Calvary) still kept fighting till the bitter end even though it was meaningless. Also, as Welt mentioned in 'Keeping up with Star Rail', Firefly's enhanced state (Deathstar Overload) is the manifestation of the pilot's "Iron will". Meaning FF's 'Iron will' to continue fighting till the bitter end, ended up manifesting the power to vaporize the remaining swarm along with the entire planet.

And the Swarm Disaster's lore is somewhat connected to some Aeons like Nanook's ascension, Qlipoth, HooH, etc. So this short is pretty significant to HSR lore. overall.

Fun fact: firefly is old as or maybe even older than nanook because they where both from the swarm era. Firefly was just in a deep sleep

To think that Firefly, the survivor of Glamoth and swarmed planet destroyer, and Ruan Mei, the mad scientist who wanted to study emanators by making one of Propagation, are both in the next banner.... that's tough

This one takes place after the Myriad Celestia; Firefly has the hair ribbons. I don't think they got to meet up again... Interestingly, this means that Sam was not the first Stellaron Hunter. Elio worked with someone before recruiting Kafka, and Sam was there with Kafka when Blade was recruited. It was assumed that Sam came first. The Empress was "Titania", either a leader that telepathically controlled the Iron Cavalry, or a figurehead used Glamoth's government to control the Iron Cavalry. The Glamoth orb/rope have the story if you want to read it; the two stories conflict with one another on some parts, in a "this empire is long dead so we don't know" way. Glamoth "altered the essence of humanity" to "create a weapon born to fight"; clones or test-tube babies of some sort, since there are differences we can see between the SAM units. Titania sounds to me either an AI that controlled the soldiers, and caused them to eventually rebel (less likely given this trailer), or essetially a mythological figure for propaganda, like the human council in Nier Automata (yes we're here up in the moon, no you can't see us, and if you try to we'll kill you. Now go die down there taking back Earth).

From the looks of it, after the first initial wave of Swarm was defeated. Firefly single handedly took on the 2nd wave by herself and took them out. What i recall from the lore the ending is just a metaphor of what happened after the war as even though Glamoth won they couldn't recover after and eventually faded away.

IM SO TEMPTED TO WHALE FOR HER SHE DESERVES THE WORLD. GIVE HER HUGS OMG.

9:47 glamoth is a interplanetary civilization, meaning they can already travel between planets in their star system according to fandom wiki. If we could theorize that if glamoth's homeplanet is destroyed and the unnamed planet firefly stood on(or the glamoth's homeplanet was the one firefly stood on) is destroyed too, there might be a possibility of another SAM soldiers that are survived the swarm attack on the another planet, which we can see at the end scene there is still an another planet.

I did some research about Firefly before this animation was posted, and I was honestly got the impression that Trailblazer was the one who found Firefly in her Cryopod and recruited her, guess I was wrong. I was kind of hoping that we would see Stellaron Hunter Trailblazer in this animation.

Once firely started talking aboot scorched earth i started crying

It may be pointless but its good to notice that for some of the Fyreflies they were given a red shoal to conceal themself if they were uncomfortable being clothless since non are (not sure why unable to where the suit, anti entrophy loss probably) Firefly (Fyrefly) has been rebirthed, the only one to truly reached the peak, breaking free and create a life she wants by ending it all... Life... begets... death

I watched this when it was uploaded right away. I was absolutely heart broken for her as the only one... God damn

What caught my attention, is the fact that when Firefly was doing the power up to destroy the planet, almost looks like it was the reason she got entropy loss syndrome (if i didn't understood that the wrong way at least)

If you mean the marks, they appeared on all other fireflies in the myriad celestia. I’m not quite sure if that’s a sign of the syndrome because they seem to appear exclusively when they’re in the suit. They start to manifest when they’re beginning to summon the armor and retract when they exit it. If that’s effectively a sign of the syndrome, then the last one who showed up was probably in a more advanced state since her marks didn’t disappear when she exited the suit

something I noticed at 8:45 I don't think that's the swarm I think that's debris from the planet itself because the swarm had literally eaten everything and the planet was just a hollowed out husk so firefly's big explosion just put the planet to rest as they'd already taken everything else. Firefly you deserve the world.

I think so, the swarm is know for just eating planets and Glamoth could very well be one of the planets in that

The bodies are a whole. If you watch closely, some of them are just half buried or covered by something else. Nonetheless, it's really horrifying and sad story 😭

Just a speculation, But I think the end had to do with Titania, her majesty. As firefly was the sole survivor not only of the Iron Calvary, and the Glamoth empire, she is also the sole surviving clone of Titania. Titania is known as the fairy queen, Firefly having wings at the end could signify the fact that she has become Titania somehow, which explains her powers being absurd at the end.

Lowkey wondering is firefly is an emanator of any sort. Literally soloing a planet to crumbs is quite concerning😃

I was almost thinking that too, because there no shot it took thzt many fireflies to fight the swarm mother if they all have that kind of power. My current theory is the tree seed thing mzy have given her z power boost which may have helped her live this long. My first thought is maybe abundance but idk if that majes any sense consiste yaoshi has kinda been a bad guy thus far. Idk if shes Emanator status but surely theres more going on than meets the eye

@@kyrogamingvt9716 It shouldn't be Yaoshi since they weren't around during the Swarm Disaster (to be fair the lore is kinda hazy on when exactly Glamoth fell, just that it was due to the Swarm and long enough ago that the only information remaining was theories by historians).

I thought in one of the cinematically, with firefly in the car with blade, she talks about not having a lot of time left, and I assumed she would die soon because she’s genetically engineered. And I figured that’s what she meant by she’ll see them soon.

2:16 My favorite moment. She's in awe, in shock. She's not even a firm believer and she joins in on the pledge because what else can you do when your comrade goes completely and utterly last stand on an insane behemouth of...bad. The whole situation is primal, and her reaction to the sheer heaviness of it all is to react with what is at the core of her existence; and for her it's being a Glamoth Knight, for better or worse. Going through something like that is bound to give you a flash of insanity in the moment. Love that she looses it like that. Perfect absolute cinema moment.

This empire was ruled by an empress named Titania who built an iron fleet to bring everyone (I'm guessing the planet) under one rule, her rule. The Iron Fleet was born and raised to be Knights and to die. I guess when they had other wars they never question their existence bcs they had a purpose. To protect their empress and people, someone to return to. But this time, against the Swarm, there was nothing left...
