This is a perfect place to spend your lunch break. Just grab something to eat, go there for 30-60min for around $3 per 30min and just watch KZread, Eat, Relax in silence. I need this in my city.

Thanks for your videos, they are always very interesting and relaxing. I've stayed alone several times in Tokyo. When staying for a few days, frankly for a little extra money I still think is better to stay at a business hotel and sleep in a real bed with sheets and private bathroom. But for a few hours rest a place like the one in this video might be perfect.

It is good that you can get free drinks in the internet cafe. There is a big need for somewhere safe to lay down & rest for a while when travelling the U.K. Usually there is not even anywhere to leave your luggage. All you can do is drag your bags to the nearest cafe & sit there eating & drinking, even if really your back hurts & you desperately want to lay down.

Most shops don’t allow unauthorized videographer to compare prices. Photos aren’t allowed either without asking first. And things and prices change daily. So by the time you come to Japan it won’t be as you saw in the video. The best thing is you just go to these shops. Btw, online prices and retail prices aren’t even the same and online sales and retail prices aren’t the same either. Best to just go to the shops and check them out yourself.

In Japan, many homeless people (but with a bit of income) found their 'temporary home' in these net-cafes. They are now called 'net-cafe refugees'. It is definitely better than staying on the streets. Many net-cafes actually sell monthly payment options. They are much cosier and safer. Crimes are virtually unheard of. But I don't prefer these net-cafes as a replacement for proper hotels. For sleeping, they are still subpar. People over 30s will ruin their backs if they use these rooms too much. Rooms may cause claustrophobic feelings, and the air conditioners are controlled centrally so you need to ask on the counter desk each time you want to change the room temperature. The net-cafe shown in this video is the top-notch brand one. In other places, conditions may be worse (for example, many net-cafes don't have these noise-proof rooms, but only cubicles, so you must be careful not to make noises).

Unfortunately in my country (and I'm pretty sure in many US cities as well), people would just pay for the minimum of half an hour just to fill bottles with free soda, fill entire coolers with the ice cream and then steal a bunch of the manga. Not to mention how gross the toilets and showers would be left behind. The walls of the little cubicles would be marked with scratches and pens. The computers and accessories would be stolen within a week and it would probably become a very sketchy place with drugs etc.
