If you're wondering how the game decides which country has like a better army or something like that, it's based on Combat Efficiency ( a number from 1-6 that the game randomly decides ). Whoever has the higher Combat Efficiency number tends to win. Also if you run out of Gold, you will almost automatically lose.

If this game took terrain into consideration, the Rocky Mountain states and those in the Appalachians would be much harder to take over.

I actually loved the results of this. Would love to finally see a Oregon victory as a Oregonian in these scenarios, but hey, I can't argue with a Montana takeover, to be honest!

It was really mind blowing how Delaware was able to survive for 1321 years until Georgia took them

Money seems really important in this as Texas Utah And Georgia in the top 3 just fought wars of attrition and ran out of money and then instantly got steamrolled

As a Montanan i am proud to say that Montana deserved that victory, and it brought tears to my eyes to see a unified us under the big sky nation.

As an Oregon, it annoys me that nobody can correctly pin point the location of our capital. In this game, the Oregon capital has been placed in the middle of the pacific mountain range which is no where near its actual location 😂

If you click on a country and look in between the icons that show the amount of gold and the revolt chance you'll see a number ranging between 1 to 5. That number shows how well they'll do militarily. That's why for example Wisconsin did so well fighting against two states, you can see that their number was higher than the other two states. This number changes at random. For example, a large country might be winning a war, but its number will drop to 1 while the other countries' number changes to 6. Then the bigger country will get pushed back. If both countries have the same number, from what I've found the larger country will do better. Also, for example, if a country fights another alliance, if they have, say 5 military score, they'll win against the countries that have a lower military score, but not the ones that have a higher number than them. When a country runs out of gold it won't be able to fight back regardless of its military score, if a country kills another country it also takes that nation's gold. Also, countries might choose to fight a death war, which means they won't stop fighting each other until one of them dies, though I don't know if one of their countries is in an alliance if they will fight every country until one takes over or just the single country. Lastly, there are options to turn on and off things like exclaves, though that might mess up some of the countries in the pre-made scenarios since they'll lose it if it's not connected to them after a war. (Ex: Kaliningrad in the modern-day scenario, or Danzig in the ww2 scenario) I wrote this because I was bored and wanted to help explain what I knew about the game that others might not know, and if I'm wrong about any of these or missed anything important feel free to correct me or explain them.
