He's hated in a way in Kazakhstan for the mockery he displayed, but tourism boosted there thanks to him. And this year his hated country of Uzbekistan is hoping for more tourism.

Borat is a good movie for outsiders to see sometimes. So much media from america paints right wing christians from here in a fake, positive light. With Borat and his other undercover films, he tries to cut through and show the world how they truly are.

Look fen, we need a podcast. I dont understand how you can can be so Western and yet still so understanding about eastern ways at the same time. If youre a fan of the channel you know that fen has lived all over the place and I'm not being funny but it seems like fen had a very interesting story to tell. Grew up in libyan culture, grew up in british culture and understands our ways, i also know that you spent some time in Greece (possibly during the financial crisis) and the way the Greek people operate. How many countries have you lived in? How much experience do you have with travelling the world? I'm not gonna lie i came to the channel to see akasha reacting to British things but i stayed because fen (however much people hate on him) has a lot of insight into how people from different backgrounds kind of......... Work. As far as I'm concerned, fen has a lot of knowledge to offer because he seems like a man who has been and done it all. A lot of British people (and i consider fen British, he has the accent, the attitude, everything, even though he comes from libya) have never even experienced another culture like he has, you know, living amongst it. Please fen, i know that you probably like to keep some things quite personal but there is a lot more that we can learn from your experience of the world. We can see that you're a well travelled man and can offer a lot of opinions from a lot of different standpoints but a video reacting to comedy cannot convey that story. You've been talking about a podcast for a while, you are the perfect subject for a podcast. Wtf have you done to be a Libyan who grew up in Britain who lived in Greece for a while to live in Florida? Seems like a crazy story that would well worth it to tell, thats all I'm getting at.

Hi mate! In 18 months of doing this channel this is BY FAR my favourite comment so far. And as you seem to know the channel well, you'll know I don't usually reply to comments (mainly because the internet is a mental place) but I just had to reply to this one. To answer some of your questions... My dad is from Libya and my mum is from Cumbria. I was born and raised in Libya, left Libya when I was 10, moved to Carlisle for 3 years, moved back to Libya for 4 years and then went back to the UK for a further 7 years (that would make me 24 at that point). Now Here's where it gets really complicated... Moved to the US in 2012 for a year (when I met Akasha), then lived in Poland for a year. From there I was in Greece for 2 and a half years, then I moved to Dubai for 1 year, after that I was in Malta for almost 2 years. This was due to the line of work I was in, Unfortunately I can't really go into too much detail as to what I was doing exactly because it was an unusual sensitive line of work (No I wasn't in the MI5 lol) but it was a very exciting job and as you can imagine I learned A LOT about people and places. When the pandemic came along I lost EVERYTHING. My job, my house, my car and almost all my belongings. It's kind of a long story how it all collapsed but as you can imagine it was a traumatic experience for me. In the summer of 2020 I had no where else to turn but to my wonderful wife (then girlfriend at the time) who told me to come to the US and start again and she would try her best to help me. Roll onto 2024 (almost) and although I have a very uneventful boring life now lol, I have to say I'm very very happy. About the podcast... funny you say that, the truth is when I originally bought all of the studio gear, it was intended for a one man show, either a twitch style live show that's then clipped up for KZread or just or just mini podcast style videos (15 - 20 minutes each) of me talking about whatever was on my mind at the time, whether it be reacting to what's in the news (politics, show business, sport, life, whatever). But I hesitated and hesitated for one reason or another and then randomly one day realized that me and Akasha's dynamic was unique plus we have such a laugh showing each other different things from our 4 different cultures that I thought about putting it on camara might resonate with some people. And just like that the channel blew up over night and culture clash reactions was born. After that I just put my own project to one side and concentrated on our channel with the intention of starting my own podcast one day. Although I absolutely LOVE doing the channel with akasha, as you mentioned I feel I have WAY MORE to offer an audience then just your run of the mill reaction channel. Your comment here has absolutely made my day and may have lit a fire in my belly to get this shit started (cause that's what I truly want to do). At least if I do decide to go ahead and do it I can guarantee at least 1 subscriber lol. Appreciate your comment more than you know mate. Would love to know a little about yourself to.. age? where your from? what you do for work etc? All the best. Fen

@@cultureclashreactions506 KZread didn't even notify me that you responded and I've only just seen it. I have to say, even though you've basically given me your life story, there's still massive amounts to unpack within it. It's probably a good idea to have akasha there to ask questions as there are lots of things that can be skipped over without you even realising. To be honest, my life isn't too interesting at the moment either but I reckon it's probably a lot easier and less stressful that way. I'm a 23 year old labourer from Milton Keynes and have been a subscriber since the Inbetweeners reactions. Get that pod done fen lad.

I just always loved the carnage he's capable of causing, similar to Avid Merrion, I'd love to see you guys react to a series again too as I loved your reactions to The Inbetweeners which is why I started watching you, just one little technical thing I'd like to mention though, in all your recent videos your camera doesn't seem to be focussed on your faces, they're a little soft, I'm a photographer so it's something I notice straight away, might be worth looking at your cameras focus settings.

Good fun, but I don’t understand how they chose that list - those are definitely not the funniest Borat moments! What about wine tasting; or the dinner party where he needs guidance on American toileting habits; or Throw the Jew Down the Well; or his post-shower wrestle with Azamat; or countless others both from the movies and from Da Ali G Show!

Enjoy your reaction vids (in N Ireland here, discovered you through your superb Inbetweeners reactions). I do find Fen's seething disdain for feminists a bit off putting though. IRL Sacha would undoubtedly be on their side, it's clearly the ignorance of the outsider he's highlighting here as the comedy, not the feminism itself 🙃
