    Disturbing. She should have called an ambulance/taken him to the hospital as soon as she saw those initial signs of sepsis upon returning home. Dr. Phil did a good job confronting her here.

    He had been to the hospital SEVERAL times before that! The doctors wouldn't listen to her! Because, of my father! It wasn't her fault she did everything in her power! But, the doctors just didn't listen! I was there! I watched this!

    It’s quite common sense to take a child that is in a severe looking state to the emergency room. It doesn’t take a nurse or a doctor to even know this.

    Exactly. I'm a RN, but even if I was just a mom, and my child presented just HALF those symptoms, my child would already be on their way to hospital in an ambulance. My heart breaks for the poor little fella

    We took him to 6-8 different hospitals I was 14 at the time but I remember exactly what happened. Don't come at my mother like you are.

    I'm a RN and a mother of 3. This is an absolute disgrace. Shes right, she has absolutely NO RIGHT to call herself a mother OR a nurse! 😡

    I am just seeing this. I can’t understand why this woman isn’t in jail with her husband. When they read the account of what happened prior to the death I was appalled. I have worked 12 hour days, come home and had to deal with medical emergencies. It happens. There is no excuse for denying your child treatment and then go treat people you don’t even know!?

    I’m a nurse and a mom. This is beyond negligence. If I had a patient with half those symptoms I would have called for emergency assistance in a hospital, LET ALONE MY CHILD AT HOME

    Exactly. I'm a RN too, and as you know those symptoms need to be acted on IMMEDIATELY. She knew this, yet she decided to just delay getting him help anyway. It's like she wanted him to die. Even if I wasnt a nurse, even with half those symptoms, I'd be calling an ambulance without ANY delay. How could she let her son suffer like that? He couldnt even walk. That actually breaks my heart to think of him suffering like that! 😪

    I would like to point out something, she stated that she put him on the end of the bed and started CPR. Everyone who is CPR certified especially a registered nurse knows that in order to do proper CPR you have to have the person on a flat FIRM surface. There's no way she done enough to save this child's life.

    As a RN, I can say with CERTAINTY that you only ever do CPR on a completely flat surface like the floor. I dont think I've ever seen a MORE negligent mother or nurse to be honest. Shes an absolute disgrace.

    You didn't have to watch it happen. I watch my mother do EVERYTHING to fix him! The doctors wouldn't listen to her! It's traumatizing as an 11 year old child to watch your mother doing everything in her power to save your best friend and little brother well you narcissist father and the doctors get in the way of that!!

    The bounce back from the bed would prevent you from properly performing CPR. She should have quickly put him on the floor and did CPR. Why wasn't an ambulance called?

    Remember she worked 12 hours and was supposed to work another 12 hours she was to tired to give him CPR she knew he was already gone . Ashame this woman gave birth to any children much less 5 if she was to tired to take care of Dom how could she have enough energy to take care of a baby but also died with the drunk father in a motel room wasn't it .Those girls are beautiful must have had a different mom because mom is like ugh.

    She was utterly responsible for his death and needs to be held accountable. She also demonstrated there is no way she could competently care for people as a nurse... “This patient is going into cardiac arrest!” “It’s my break time. I’ve been on my feet and have to rest!” 😡

    100%! I could never ever imagine seeing someone with those kind of symptoms and thinking "nah, I gotta take a nap first" - that is completely insane. If not only my kid, but literally anyone around me showed even one of these symptoms, I would immediately call an ambulance!

    @@lucycolgan3362 Her partner in crime was more important than her children she let herself be put in position to be manipulated by him because he may have worked when he wasn't drunk and being a child beater she would take him back today if he got out of prison and the kid's could go anywhere but with them they aren't parents they are murderers.

    That poor boy, that poor poor boy. Everything Dr. Phil said she responded with some ridiculous excuse. “I had a patient in isolation”, “that was the same heel I told the doctor about...he(the doctor)wouldn’t even touch it”, “I had to work the next night” when she was confronted about taking a nap while her son was dying. This has got to be the saddest clip of the Dr. Phil show I’ve ever seen, he did an excellent job of confronting her and popping the bubble of delusion she had around her.

    My mother is a wonderful women! Everyday she blams herself! Even tho she did everything in her power to save him! She tried to tell the doctors it was something worse! But, they didn't listen to my mom. The nurse! They only listen to my dumb father!!

    I nearly died of sepsis last year. My heart stopped multiple times. I still have motor and nerve issues. I can’t imagine not immediately calling an ambulance when a family member is that sick. My husband called 911 the moment he touched my shoulder and felt how high my graver was.

    It really irritated me when Dr. Phil confronted her about taking a nap while her dying and septic son was in the bath, and she excused that she was working the next night. I wanted to shout, "THAT'S YOUR EXCUSE?!?!" 😤 She could clearly see that her son had sepsis! She should have her medical license taken away! My sister is a nurse and she doesn't have kids, but if that happened to her kid, she WOULD'VE called an ambulance!

    Despite all the warning tell-tale sign, she proudly weighing to take a shower as her priority ? (Oh! Because my uniform was full of germs.) and next, took a sweet time for a nap? (Oh! Cause my next shift is at night.) A failed nurse. An extremely beyond a negligence nurse. Proud to call herself as a nurse? Not anymore. The worst mother. She murdered her own son by "letting it be", literally. What's more? Crying in the public? It was just her "playing a victim" show.

    I work in a prison , I would’ve IMMEDIATELY TAKEN MY CHILD TO THE HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE ! I wouldn’t have gone two shits about me at that moment !!! She needs to be in jail! Nursing student here and Correctional Officer

    I am really having a hard time trying to understand why this mother did not do more to save her son’s life!! Why didn’t she call an ambulance?! Why didn’t she drive him to the hospital herself?! She knew something was wrong and she did not even do the bare minimum! I’m just so confused and angry at this woman! 😡😡

    My fiance is a RN and I showed him this he actually had tears in his eyes saying how could she be so neglectful and not see what was happening. He got so angry and looked her up to see if her license was revoked. Absolutely heart breaking

    When my daughter was a toddler, she got red dots all over her torso. She was otherwise fine seeming. We took her straight to emergency. She was having an allergic reaction to the red dye in Benadryl. I will never forget it. Those red dots totally freaked us out.

    If you think that contamination is the major issue, then get the husband to phone an ambulance, scrub down in the shower and get changed and you'll be done by the time they get there. No it's not the priority, but if she thought it was there were 2 of them there

    They live in my hometown. I went to school with both of the girls. They were never charged and are free. Just saw them out today with their younger kids. I haven't been able to find any records of the case but I never tried very hard to because is makes me sick to think about it. Last name Dill.

    Poor mother? She let her child die. Instead of calling a ambulance to transport her son to the hospital she went and took a shower. As a nurse she knew that child was in critical condition and instead of giving him life saving help she purposely let him die. Im a nurse and the one thing that you do as a nurse is always put the needs of others before your own, regardless of the situation. I hope they both get life in prison

    Are you serious? Are you blind and deaf? The poor little fella died because of that "poor mother". Its completely and utterly HER FAULT. I'm a RN, and my child would only have to be presented a quarter of those symptoms and he'd be on his way to hospital in an ambulance. This makes me so sad for the boy.
