We all had one of 3 days to choose from to play. We had an embargo of 10/21 when we could talk about it. My video wasn’t ready in time like everyone else due to personal life reasons.

So this may be a no-go question, but was there anything in the demo that could have swayed your decision on what version you would get?

I was personally already planning on buying both, but from my time with Scarlet, there didn’t appear to be anything noticeably version exclusive that would sway a decision imo.

I'm definitely using Quaxly for Scarlet and then maybe Fuecoco for Violet. Did u get much of a chance to see fuecoco's evolutions were like?

We didn’t have access to any starters. Since this was a special game build, they had us use Pokemon that were level 20-25. Meaning at that point in the game, we would’ve been on mid-tier starter evolutions. It’s pretty clear they want to keep those evolutions a surprise for everyone.

0:57 except because of the Lack of level scaling, this is a lie. you start at the last gym, your entire team will be one shot on the first turn because of the level diference.

Yeah I’m not sure 100% sure how I feel about it yet. So far, it doesn’t seem like anything stops time from moving in the game. Even during dialogue the sun/moon are transitioning and Pokémon already located around you are still there interacting with the environment as if you’re wandering around.

We dont. I think that if we ever get different clothes for this gen, it would be in dlc, but for now, just uniforms

Great question! I didn't explore fashion options so I'm not sure. We were instructed not to go inside the school, but I'm having a hard time remembering what they said about other buildings. That could be why I didn't explore that.

How long is the day and night cycle? I hope it’s longer then Arceus. Im Tired of the whiplash.

It looks to be that way! I haven’t played BoTW so I can’t comment on that, but running/riding around the open world felt great! I love that there’s changes in elevation, forcing you to explore instead of being locked to a psuedo 3D play area.

Thanks for watching! We were only allowed to take photos in an approved location at the venue. The two stills I briefly included are pretty much what I have. Nintendo provided gameplay footage for us to use to help talk about the preview experience.

3:40 irks me a little, if you accidentally, or purposely, fly in you should get penalized for breaking in (in some way), but not have to go back through the door, so as to keep the open world natural. I really hope it's not a quick cut scene telling you, you must go through the door, and then fades to black while you're transported to the door or somewhere outside the school.

So I was wondering this as well. It’s possible that what I experienced could get patched before launch, but I won’t be surprised if they still boot you out without entering the right way. This will be one of the first things I check once I get to that part of the game after launch. Good point about it potentially breaking the open world feeling!

@@landoralpha I would even be fine if the punishment was that you didn't earn anything for your battles, and in the end they tell you, if you want the badges (or whatever) you must earn them respectfully, or something

For the build version of the game (Scarlet) I played, it was available on what appeared to be the Route 1 area. Remains to be seen if it will still be located in that area once everyone gets to play the release build.

That’s fair enough. They have a lot riding on this game, especially with this being their first real shot at an open world game. Time will ultimately tell, but if everything holds up, this could be their best game yet.

I had a brief conversation with the reps concerning complaints about Switch graphics. I’m no expert on it, but I feel we’re getting to a point that we need some sort of Pro Switch model with a better GPU to allow for better game graphics.

@@landoralpha this is an intentional choice at this point. There are other games that still look better at the begenning of the switch launch then this game. So even when we get better hardware I doubt Pokémon developer will really utilize it.

Lando does so much pokemon content of all types.... Pokemon swsh, unite, PLA,go as well as pack opening too!!!! If you've only seen his go content you're doing yourself and him an injustice
