No, I don't really have an identical twin as my boss.
I am my own boss as I work for myself.
Also, Jo is my boss as I married her.

I used Excel from the time it became available in 1985, and retired 3 years ago. I grinned through this entire video because I've used these methods so often they became second nature. Alas, I don't get to use it anymore [and I loved it] but will check out your other videos anyway. Am sharing with a former coworker who I taught a few of these to. Boy I miss using this program....I'll just watch you when I need a dose of Excel fun because that's how I looked at it - using it was an absolute blast. Thanks for sharing, very well done!!!!!
I love how you combine 10 different examples in one video. Thank you for being user friendly 😀
This guy is way above what I can do in Excel. Respect. For finding a number above a certain value, I simply highlight the column and hit Sort. At the value needed, I highlight in ascending or descending order. This is an awesome video by a true expert. Excel is far more powerful than most of us understand. Thanks!
I liked the way your covered realistic problems - boss v/s Chandoo. It gives fair comparison and absorb the learning.

Great video on so many levels! Perfect pace! Perfectly clear! Easy to follow! Humour is great (not over done, not under done)! You sir, are a genius and a great communicator! Keep them coming!
If you don't have Excel 365 (or 2021) you won't be able to use the SEQUENCE function to generate the numbers 1-100. Instead, you can use this formula: =ROW(1:100)

As far as i know you dont even need any formula to do that. Just fill like 3 rows with numbers in the sequence you want (like 1,2,3) select all of them and drag it down like a formula. Excel automatically tried to predict your sequence and gives you the numbers.
Liked these quick and useful tips! Won't mind seeing more of "Boss v/s Me" videos, but we know that Chandoo in himself is "Excel Boss"! 😁
I love your boss. He is doing all the work, mine would give me all of those tasks.
Conditional formatting slows down the excel sheet by a lot when you are working on huge data. Instead, if you want to delete use "Remove Duplicate". If you want to know the duplicates then add a column next to the data and use "Countif" condition. Wherever there are duplicates you will get the count more than 1. This way the excel file will not add unwanted size and lag the file.
@chandoo_
Жыл бұрын
I like the "remove duplicate option", but disagree on CF. Unless you apply CF over 100,000s of rows, it shouldn't slow the file down. If anything, the COUNTIF() trick might actually be slower than CF.

Wonderful tutorial! So entertaining and really awesome shortcuts. Thank you!
Chandoo saves the day 😎 This was the best!
I love this type of my boss presentation, real life situation examples especially as an analyst wanting to show your worth to the team.
Super Chandoo.....Simple and very effective...even the presentation is awesome...All I need to know simple techniques like these to manage our daily business needs..I am Kishore working in a Pharma Sales & Marketing ,no computer literacy but able to see benefits from videos such as these...thanks once again 👏
The show filters report option on the pivot table is a game changer for me!! Thanks!!!
You always amaze us with very nice tips and an interesting way to memorize them 😊
This was very helpful!! Thank you!! Would you please provide another video on pivot tables with a little more detail on how to use them but for VERY new Excel beginners.

OMG I learned something really new today! Thank you so much. I am taking classes in BA but the lectures are so dull. I was thinking it was me who has a problem but watching this video proved that learning can be very interesting.
Wow, Junior is more talented than Boss, we do want such more videos Sir, you are God of Excel ,🙌🏻
Hi Chandoo, as always, your videos are simply amazing. Love the boss vs. you videos as it's a form of storytelling rather than the usual way of demonstrating the features.

Great tips. I'm pleased that I knew many of them but there were several tips new to me. Your examples were clear and you got directly to the point!
0:17 you can also select all the rows by clicking Shift+Ctrl+Down arrow and Shift+Space
This was super creative and a great approach. Looking forward to Part 2
This is absolutely fantastic.!! Able to get exactly what is needed for those quick fixes Keep more like this coming!!!!!!!!!!
I really like these videos Chandoo. They are very helpful, easy to follow and not too long.

Great solutions for simple tasks. Thank you Chandoo for a nice, useful and humorous presentation.
Thank God, you finally disclosed whom you referred to as the Boss. All this time, i was thinking who is this smarter guy in my Office... : )
OMG! I love your approach. Narrative based, humorous and straight to the point! BRAVO!
This was kinda.... genius!!!!!!! Such a clever way to teach - an entertaining way to set a relatable scenario from which to contextualise the benefit of the more advanced technique and then see in real time with meaningful examples how to actually do it better. 👏🤝 I'm genuinely so impressed (I mean I am that guy who loves a good excel shortcut for no particular reason anyways, but still - awesome) First video of yours I've watched. Think I'm gonna have to sub lol.
it was exciting to watch. I hope you do more videos related to boss vs employee.
These are powerful tips and tricks. This will make my Excel escapades flourish.
These are very helpful for day to day excel workings. Analyse Pivot Table One was awesome👍🏻👌🏻
Fun and informative. I vote yes for episode 2. Thumbs up!
You have a fantastic sense of humour and your Excel skills are top notch! I will definitely be using these in the future! Thank you for this video.
OMG! I was doing that country pivot thing like your boss just yesterday. I need to complete the task. I'll definitely use the pivot option your showed.
Excel is such an amazing program. I used it years ago to estimate major, multi-million dollar projects for a company I worked for in the 1990's
I am following Chandoo dilligently around year and a half now, and I can note that the content growth is amazing and inspiring since i am learning a lot myself. The adjastability to consumer needs is up to date, easy to follow, adjuatable to feedback. Me vs Boss trend is greatly done, the format is nice, i would suggest since this is a tik tok 🫰 format to try to reduce the length as much as possible, not necessarily in minutes (i would suggest 4-5min top) and just divide the content to include up to 3 ideas in one video. For example I would cut this video in formatting tips, and adding blank rows,2nd one for reports pivot tables and adjusting charts in another sheet and a third one for dates in excel or the sequence formula. This is my pov as the new generation wants everything in seconds and i think thats the target audience for this series. Lots of 💕

Thanks Tina for that comment. I am always experimenting with content format, length and topic coverage. My analytics tells me that 5-10 minutes is the sweet spot. Shorter videos can't cover anything in depth or breadth. Earlier I tried 3 tips in 3 minutes video, but the response is nowhere near as good as what this video got. As always, I am running the do → learn → change a bit → do again cycle.
Super vidéo ! Bravo pour les mises en situation réalistes 👍👍👍

I was once in the same situation. That was 18 years ago. Don't give up, try learning something new everyday. Excel is a powerful tool but more often than not it is underestimated.
Thank you so much for showing new tricks! This videos format is wonderful! Please make more.
Great work, love your teaching style extremely effective.
There is an alternative for SEQUENCE. Just fill in the first two cells, select both cells and drag (lower right corner of the selection) down. Excel automatically will fill in with increments choosen by the two cells. This works even with months by name (Jan, Feb .... filling in Mar, Apr ...). Btw. don't mess up numbers and strings. Allways use strings for identifiers, accounts, telephone numbers. You never sum up telephone numbers.

Perfect presentation. Your boss should be really excited having you around correcting him! Quick question: how do you apply the multile "Worksheet selection" tip on printing? As a novice I am, I set up each WS in the plot preview seperately. Thanks and keep it up :)
I enjoy all the video formats you create but this one is especially good. Excellent work. I have been using Excel since it's first release and, still, all this content was new to me. -Ajay

Sensational video. Well done and very informative.
Always looking for more shortcuts! Thx. Great for bosses and non bosses, because some bosses hire you for what they don’t know how to do. Unfortunately that can also mean they think their “boss-dome” means these skills are beneath them. Know your worth ❤
This was both useful and hilarious. 😂Thank you!

thank you for a simple wording and for your way of teaching.
