@Danny Buck They definitely did, he knows without Messi he will get sacked. Also Pep is a checkbook manager - Barca is 500M in debt or something, he can't spend if he goes Barca. Which is why he isn't the right guy for the job. Barca needs someone like Arteta, who can make average players like Nketiah into Decent players.

@Danny Buck Listen if Pep wanted to go back he would have not been renewing his contract at Manchester City. Unless you have been living in another planet. The current President of Barcelona wanted Pep back when Barcelona was in crisis but Pep rejected it. He has been there and knows Barcelona in and out and didn't want be part of that crisis where Messi leaves the club he had known all his life crying. Please put one plus one together and know what it is.

He's already been there and done that and until they sort out their buisness Barca isn't exactly the best career move, also he has unfinished buisness at City (gotta at least get ONE UCL out of all of this right?) but it's very clear and always has been clear that no matter what team he's coaching in whatever country, Barca is his team, that's where his heart is. Maybe one day he'll return if his time in the PL hasn't completely exhausted him from coaching altogether.

Now all Arteta needs is for Arsenal fans to put respect on his name instead of wanting him out of the club every other day.
