Leafy's videos got me into surfing as well. I remember when i looked up to him as a pro, because he made it look so effortless and casual. But i've dispelled that illusion, as since then i've completed several t6 maps and countless t5s. I never would have guessed how high the ceiling went past leafy.

I wouldn't blame drugs alone. Parkinsons and many neurological conditions are exacerbated by stress, PTSD can develop from a singular traumatizing event so I think the controversy coinciding with a crisis of identity is the main kicker but if he was taking stimulants that certainly would have made things a lot worse. Don't let the elites diagnose you with ADHD (Amount of attentenion we want to you pay; to the things we want you to do, deficit of what we have come to expect from and believe we need from you, hyper-active in relation to how calm we'd prefer you to be, disorder in accordance with what threatens the order we maintain) and put you on dexamphetamine just because your job sucks and your rent is expensive.

​@plummeted if i remember right, he smoked weed, drank alcohol, did adderall (ik its a pill but a lot of gamers/content creators were on the addy wave then) and was a pill head (i dont remember the pills he took but id assume its the more "basic" pills like oxys, hydros, xanz, ect.). i also believe there was speculation that he did meth and coke at some point too but was never 100% proven edit: its been like 6/7 years since i actually watched leafy so take some of this with a grain of salt but i can 100% say he smoked weed and drank heavily

i swear i remember leafy making a surfing guide way back in the day, showing the commands and saying he liked linear maps, but kitsune was still his favorite

Two KZread legends.

Surfing is a byproduct of the physics in the Source Engine, so CSGO surf was not called that because of leafy, it was called that because they called it surfing in every previous iteration of the Counter Strike franchise. And the roblox version just copies that.

Surfing was huge in CS Source in like 2008-2010, at least when I played. Good to see it’s still a thing. Never heard of Leafy though. He certainly didn’t invent surfing.

Surf existed in CS long before Roblox implemented it. Surf is fairly unique to source games specifically bc of the engine

by the way, that "shaking" isnt directly from high sens, rather its from playing on a high sens with a slow mousepad. WIth something like a glass mousepad, high sens is much more playable, ive been able to maintain practically the same level of smoothness on 1.3-2 sens as I would have on .8

Leafy was a youtuber who used to make videos about random stories of his life, but eventually he ran out of stories so he changed his content to talking about random KZreadrs, and his fans were infamous for sending absurd amounts of hate and threats to any youtuber he'd talk about. He got banned a few years ago, made a short comeback around 2019/2020, got banned again, and has kinda been gone from the internet for a while noe

surfing and scoutzknifes was my whole childhood. my irl friend was really into the kz jump maps so i did those a little bit but not nearly as much as scoutz

it's really weird hearing "CSGO surf" referred to as some sort of starting point for both surf maps and the start of its popularity when its been around for nearly 20 years before leafy posted lol
