I'm not saying he did anything on purpose but probably fixing his lambo in a span of 3-4-5 episodes yields him more income than what the insurance would've given him.

I don’t get all the fuss . The guys repairs cars and videos it, good stuff . He has a nice car , fair enough , fair play to him. He’s had a crash , that’s bad luck , thankfully he’s ok ! ……. End of story. No need for all the drama or for matt to have to “explain” . He owes nothing to any of us viewers , he’s allowed a life .

I have semi slicks on my 350 bhp westfield seight. My car is impossible to drive in the wet or damp conditions. The lambo had the wrong tyre on it for the conditions. For road use it is not worth the risk. Great interview.

Have to say, I’ve been guilty of thinking “why is Hannah filming herself driving and crying, isn’t this like the sort of Insta pity party where people can’t go through anything without videoing themselves like they’re the most important people in the world” - but actually Mat makes a fair point here. They all do make a living from creating content based on what’s going on in their lives, starting from car rebuilds, house rebuilds, his dad joining in, taking the mickey out of poor Tobey, even Kevin running around, so it’s only fair that if something like that happens and they’ve established that it’s not too private to share that the cameras are out. Fair play to him & the crew. Love the channel, learned a lot about mechanics from it and now I’m a tinkerer myself. All the best.

14:45 This time last year my Dad had a fall off his motorbike as I was out on a spin with him. After making sure he was OK and calling the Gardaí (Police) I called my wife and explained the situation, then after a minute or two she just started crying uncontrollably, even though she knew everything was OK. It's mad how the mind reacts.

Hello. I’m not sure how it works in the UK. In America, you have a couple of options when your vehicle gets wrecked. For instance, say you got into an accident. The insurance pays you for the car. You then have the option to purchase the car back fairly cheap. Then use the rest of the money from the pay out to repair the car. Enjoyed the content. Thanks for the details. Take care.

Hannah would have had a whole heap of emotions going threw her. "Did Mat call? Why so many blue lights? Oh fuck the car is a mess, how did he get out?" Hannah's emotions in my opinion are real.

That was very informative. We should remember that this accident could have been much worse and Matt could have been badly injured. Thankfully the car's safety systems protected him and the only damage was to the car itself. I for one will enjoy the rebuild, it will be a challenge and one that Matt would have bypassed if he saw ir at Copart I am sure. But because this car has significance for him we will get to see it come back even better than before.

MAT HAS PAYED HIS DUES. HE DESERVES THAT CAR. AND STILL THE BEST VIDEOS. NUFF SAID

After crashing a car into a ditch I realised that the only real way to get my thrills was by bicycle. I might only be doing 20 mph and those four gear changes as I beat a 3 cylinder car (that isn't even racing) from the lights across a box junction do not look thrilling, but I don't feel trapped in a tin box, inching towards my destination. I now get automotive things second hand, by watching others on YT. Mat does this best in the UK and putting the car in the ditch to fix it again rather than just being an insurance claiming sheep is the way to go. Every vehicle is doomed to get stacked, rust to pieces or get stolen. We don't need people having their hoard of fancy cars that have delivery mileage where the only thrill is a pop and a bang driving through a tunnel due to the YT a-crap-o-witch exhaust.

It's always the same with online experts, I have a 700bhp m140i it's quick but not the quickest but I still get nervous in sport plus mode TCS off etc. You over cook a corner or slam the gas pedal and your facing the wrong way.

In regards to why people might prefer the crash damages build over a purchase, is that regardless of price the build is relatable. Even the Rolls, completely out of the ordinary budget, but how many people have brought a parts cars for their main build? Heaps of people! It's relatable, that's why it's popular. Yes, you coming from riding a BMX on pennies to buying supercars is inspiring, but it's possible people are coming for the builds and not the inspiration 🤷‍♂️

also about the crash, he shocked the rear axle during the gear shift (normal e gear behaviour) witch in term made the car loose grip (semislicks) and the rest is history

Honestly I don’t care that he has all the cars..good for him! I watch the channel because it’s interesting watching him build all these cars..I think he’s smashing it in life!

Those of you who think you can handle a 400+ hp rear wheel drive car... haven't driven one! I see the humour in people making fun and all.. but if you cannot heal and toe / handle a fast corner using slip angle etc.. if these concepts are alien to you then go learn, do some track training, it might save your life. I'm super glad Matt didn't die or get injured full stop.

I'm noticing that people are just cruel, social media will bring about more keyboard warriors for a while but i hope in the long run it will make people become a little more open and supportive. Yeah make fun, but also say something nice afterwards, like "silly wally crashed his car, but i'm glad he's safe and ok". rather than just making fun of someone that just ruined his pride and joy.

"Um nowht uhh baad drive-uh." Single vehicle crash is literally the definition of a bad driver. A bad craftsman blames his tools, a bad driver blames the car, road, weather, etc. The car didn't crash itself. Fortunately he didn't kill somebody.

@thejmc1231 Yes, when he left his house, it wasn't raining fair enough, but it was later that day whilst he was at the unit fitting new parts to the Lambo. There was no need to risk driving home in 1000bhp car in the rain, especially with semi slicks tyres, when Mat could have easily jumped in the van with Liam for a lift home. As Mat already said himself, Liam was following behind.

Really weird about VVS in Cranbrook. I have been there to look at a car and then the salesman took us to look at all the others they had and even some they were storing for customers. Must of spent a couple of hours there.

I live on the estate opposite, it's 30 mph it don't go to 50 until approach the top of the hill coming away from the houses

He makes out like he’s being upfront and honest but he’s not. (I really don’t wanna be that guy but) The front windows are illegally tinted in the crash video. He crashed in the dark and wet that’s the easiest (claim denied) the insurance company could get. We all know insurance companies argue and do anything they can to get out of paying it’s just the way they are. So to summarise he knows full well the insurance weren’t gonna pay so he’s made out like it was his choice not to claim to avoid embarrassment and haters. 😊
