Either of that he could eashly set a texture pack that lava is invuncible

Fact:because soul sand is not considered as a full block, it can break falling blocks as if it is a slab, thats why some people also managed to get burned in lava if they stand in the middle of soul sand and lava since soul sand is a bit ahorter hitbox

No it’s the soul sand. Soul sand breaks falling blocks like sand or gravel. But not scaffolding for some reason.
