Back in June a couple guys from VICE Motherboard came over to shoot an interview and play with lasers, chemicals, and electricity.

I WATCHED THE WHOLE THING OMG I LOVED IT !
Just watched the Motherboard episode, and I gotta say watching how excited you get and how passionate you are is very cool and makes me want to learn more. If only I had a teacher like you growing up.
found your channel through the Vice video. Keep doing what you're doing man, you clearly have a passion for lasers and to see someone so excited and passionate about something that they love fills me with optimism. never stop!
Great to see your passion for the science. I hope you never lose that, and inspire others along the way.
You are the man!! love all the creative laser designs.@motherboard- thank you for covering a story on him!
I saw it earlier it was a really cool interview that showed everything you do in a great way
The Vice video was very well done. I would also highly recommend it. In fact, I watched it with my 5 yr old and he was blown away. He then had to see many more of your videos. I was extremely happy he was so interested and amazed with what a person can accomplish using the power of science. I also celebrated the anniversary of the 2017 eclipse. We live in Nebraska and had a front row seat. It was one of the best experiences of my life and I think, my kiddo’s. If the eclipse wasn’t enough, my son and I got one of the photos we took during the event featured in a video Celestron made about the event. Sounds like you have some good memories too. Thanks for all the great videos. Very interesting and well done.
Awesome man, I just saw the video, your content's amazing m8 and its always awesome to see you talk about science with so much passion
Just watched the motherboard video and thought it was great. Keep doing what you’re doing!
Already saw it - loved it! Great work dude. You deserve it.
I found you by watching that video...Watched almost every single of your videos ....Really love this channel!!!

I just so happen to be a subscriber that found this channel through that video, and I am very glad I did
It came up as recommended for me so I watched it and am now subbed to your channel👍 keep up the good work and the awsome science. Thanks for sharing and as always Keep Building👍
I watched it and it was good. I'm glad they just let you speak and tell your story.
Awesome interview. Hopefully you end up on some open source projects so we can keep watching down the road. Best channel ever.
Fantastic VICE video and a great interview! You make a great spokesman for lasers and science!
I think its awesome that you guys got together and did this!
I watched it, and it's really good. Nice job dude
Great work as usual, keep it up Drake!
I loved it. It was like a little behind the scenes look of what you’re all about and the real reason you make cool science videos. I saw it on my home screen the other day and I was wondering if it was you, but I got distracted and didn’t get to watching it until today. Cool though. Can’t wait to see your next project! I think you should make videos going in depth about some of the science because I don’t understand your maths, but I want to.
I love lasers for the same reasons you do since I was a kid, and you are my favorite youtuber.
nice, i hope your channel starts gaining momentum!
It was a great video! Good work bro!

You’re built like a superhero and a great video, too!
I'd like to thank you for getting me into lasers since because of you i've made my own first laser!
Oh wow, Shawnee National Forest. Maybe you live in my neck of the woods, Chicago. It seems I subscribed to your channel long ago, but KZread never really recommended any of your videos since. I just rediscovered your channel and am so glad I did.

I will be honest, as someone who digests news from tens of outlets, Vice or Motherboard are not the prime targets of fake news. Sure, they make misleading stuff at times, similar to Vox. But I would call them a decent to good media company who falters only occasionally. Also, if you are going to comment about political bias, please look up the Appeal to Bias fallacy before you do. I like some ‘liberal’ and some ‘conservative’ outlets, and I try to avoid that when it comes to what is considered news and entertainment.

Just watched it. Amazing video!
Came up in my recommended, very good watch!
I watched the docu last week. It was great. ;) I especially liked that they helped put your points across about the "right to repair" / "right to build cool gadgets that are not made with the intention to harm". (and I mean that genuinely. There were some very important points made, and it was a fun watch.) P.S. - XJ laser projectors FTW. :p

actually watched the motherboard video last night, then this is uploaded, kinda cool.
That video was how I found this channel. Glad I did.
I watched it as soon as I saw your Instagram post about it.
Thanks for highlighting youtube's habit of removing videos that shouldn't be removed but letting large creators get away with it. Really appreiated Drake

Chemist, Laser professor. And not least a karate kid. Keep up the good work
I watched the vice video and I can't agree with you more, I'm getting my degree in nuclear physics/chemistry and it's certainly those tiny sparks that engender a true curiosity for science and also makes you ravenous for knowledge and what you can do with it, what novel discoveries you might find and how to use them to help others. I'm certain that you, Cody'sLab. NurdRage and all the other science youtubers have given that spark to countless kids who never knew they could be so passionate about science and how much fun it really is.
Wow good job man!!!!
i love your vids there sooooo good
I travelled all the way from the UK to watch the eclipse last year and went to a town right in the middle of the path of totality, and it rained all day so I never got to see it 😭
That's where i found your channel :)
You made me have a vibe of general krol from The Simpsons
Great to see you've giving Vice Motherboard some exposure here. Did they sponsor this shoutout?
I checked it and loved it!!!!

I actually found the vice video randomly, it said lasers but I didn’t know it was about you at first.

komori Sup dude. I do enjoy their war reporting, at least a few years ago, when I first discovered Vice. I really started to dislike them after their Anarchist Cookbook video. The very amateur way in which it was presented made me seriously doubt their ability to A: do anything competent. B: Have any sort of quality control on what they produce. They've come out with a few quality pieces since then, such as the Motherboard article on ISILs death threats to random Americans, as featured on SITE, but I wouldn't trust them to be my "first click of the day" news source as I sip my morning coffee and smoke my cigarette.
