I rebuilt an engine! And it didn't go to plan! - Rebuilding a crash damaged Yamaha YZF R125 | Part 2

In this video we finally get around to taking a look inside the engine of the written off Yamaha YZF R125.
If you recall in Part 1, the engine had a horrible ticking sound. Which is probably just the valve clearances, but I wanted to get a closer look inside to make sue everything is just as it should be. But these things don't always go according to plan, do they?

Thank you so much! I have been very slow over the last couple of months due to a terrible, cold and wet UK Winter and Spring! However, I am back in the garage and should have this project completed soon! New video incoming in 10, 9, 8, 7.....

That stator cover went on quite easy. I needed to insert threaded rod in block and use as guide to stop magnet from pulling cover off center. New subscriber based on BikerStuff recommendation, great channel.

Haha.. Yeah. In this case it did. Fiddly little buggers aren't they? It might also have been clever editing! I do try to show my mistakes and all. Too many KZread videos make things look dead easy and then when you try they are a right faff.

Where can I get help to rebuild mine and how much did it cost list of tools needed?

Thanks for your comment. I can only suggest watching plenty of KZread videos and buying the workshop manual. The manual is your bible and the KZread videos help you visualise what each step should look like. Hard to say the cost of tools. I have just been building them up over time. But you don't need to start with the best and most expensive of everything. Buy a cheap(ish) set of basic tools and then upgrade them over time.
