Very good Move from John he Made and to end things on a Good Note. At the end of the day it isnt always about the Money its about keeping good relationships and giving the ppl what they want.
Well said John. You are a terrific human. Keep up that perspective. We need it.
I always thought Cena was kinda defending his place somehow ; Imagine you were the Top Guy of a business , the former and still loved Ubber Top Guy comes back , you would feel threatened. And thats why he did what he did. And the wise man he became now understands that, he was wrong, and could have collaborated with Rock and made worlds better work together.
John Cena he apologized and said what he had to and didn't lose any character. You did the right thing Johnny boy

He betrayed his dance partner … if anything it made the WWE look bad. They should not be forcing these guys to read scripted promos
The most “heel” he’s ever been tbh 😂
John seems to have forgotten what he said about this years ago. Rock was pissed because Cena had gone in on him, but gradually realised that this feud couldn't just be him dunking on JC with no barbs traded back. With Rock's original mindset when he came back, everything Cena suggested would have been shot down. As long as it doesn't get crazy personal, sometimes you have to go into a bit of business for yourself. It made their rivalry way more interesting.
Good man.
Honestly I kinda feel like from a character perspective Cena did everything right. He just should’ve given Rock a heads up first
Nah. John cuts a mean promo and Dwayne has an ego

He didn't apologize, vin diesel himself said that they reached out to Dwayne as they wanted everyone back together in the movie. They had to film scenes separately and often stayed away from each other and they're still not fans of each other

Nah, Vin Diesel was known to be hard to work with in the FF franchise because it was his way or the highway. Rock challenged him to be more professional which is why he dislikes him so much.

He didn't apologize, in fact Vin was manipulative and rude in trying to use Paul's name and his own kids to publicly bully the Rock into joining the movies again. Dwayne left because he and Vin didn't work well together, because Vin was controlling and not respectful to other people's methods and Dwayne was done with it

He realized that he was being a hypocrite. Cena is trying now to do what the Rock was doing when he went in on him. That's the move if you can do it like Rock and Bautista. You can't wrestle forever.
Cena was never over the rock.

He’s talking about when he called out the rock and challenged him to come back to wwe so they could have a big wrestle mania match. He did it in an inappropriate way because he literally just called him out on tv instead of reaching out to him and saying “hey I wanna do this thing with you.” So the rock was insulted by that. But I’m pretty sure they’re good now

The difference is night and day. The Rock left at his Peak. Cena gave 12 years of top flight wrestling before going part time. Cena doesn’t owe WWE anything anymore and yet he still comes back to job to get some guys over

Vin also has a reputation in the film industry for being terrible to work with. Showing up late to shoots or not at all. It makes more work for everyone down the line and is completely disrespectful of people’s time.
All that and still had a 2 star match
John’s too humble. Rock wasn’t trying to change the perception of the business, he was just going through the motions. John correctly called him out on it, buried him in a promo and made the feud better. It’s business. He shouldn’t be apologizing for it.

It's because Cena is now in the Hollywood mindset. Back in the mid 2010s when he was still a full-time wrestler, he gave a VERY different account of how Rock and his team acted when they first came in.
