I read that book back in the 80’s and remember enjoying it. It’s great to see young women experiencing some of the books that I read when I was young.

I love that people are remembering this book from 30-40 years ago. I'm only 3 minutes into this vlog, and I'm already like, I may need to go read this just to see for myself.

Oh and I was lucky enough to meet Bertrice before she passed and she was lovely

The Skye Omalley series is crazy fun times!! The Kadin is a stand alone book which is a favorite of mine.

Love Wild and Fair is a sequel to the Kadin. I actually just bought a book that combined them together.

I didn't realize there was going to be a series! That's so hype. One of my first major romance reads, so I'm glad you enjoyed the chaos!

This was my very first romance novel in the 1980s - I was too young to read it but . . . and my youngest corgi is named after her (Delilah Skye O’Malley) (my other corgi is Dixie Joan Wilder)

I read this back in the late 90s when I was probably too young to be diving into this series and I became obsessed! I actually still have most of the series!!! 🤗 I’m so glad you enjoyed the wild ride!!

Sky O'Malley! Read it in my teens and left an impression. I read it again this year and I still loved it. I think there are three books total. There are some ups and downs, of course, but overall, a great read!

I read this ages ago and recently started the whole series again ! If you love this book read The Kadin by Betrice Small....loosely based on Suleman the Magnificent and the Ottoman history.

I’m so happy that this was our book pick 👏 what a wild, fun time

This was my very first historical romance. I remember I read this back in highschool and was totally freaking out while I read this. I think I ended up reading the rest of the series and possibly the spin offs. (before watching) Now this makes me want to reread this again.

It would make a great movie Melinda Lawley

I read this book and the entire series (including the next generation ones) back in the 80's. You are right, they are bonkers and sooo problematic but they are memorable..

If you thought the amount of men falling over themselves for Skye was crazy, you should read what happens to her granddaughter Catriona in Love Wild and Fair. Legit, by the end of that book, I felt so sorry for incredibly beautiful women cause men are just the WORST.
