I read Million Dollar Weekend for you.
If you want to start a business, this is THE book you should read. I’ve read a lot of business books and a lot of them are blah blah blah, a lot of yapping, not a long of actionable bits - but this one is not like that.
I read Million Dollar Weekend in 4 hours while our internet was down - so here are 4 of the biggest lessons from this book.

1. Go looking for rejections just for the sake of getting rejections. Hone that ability to ask in the right way. 2. Don't abandon anything before doing that 100x after ample experimentation. 3. Market validation is key. 4. Set realistic, small goals.

One of the biggest things I've realized about adulthood is how crazy it is what you can get if you're willing to ask. The fact that this is surprising probably means I'm far too conservative with my requests, setting a rejection goal could really help with that

I am an author/publisher of a small publishing company. I am bootstrapping the business. It’s amazing the tools that are available to help me reach my dreams. Marketing has been the hardest part, but I have made it a goal to do outreach every day. Today I have a call with a buyer of a big tourist enterprise. I wouldn’t have it if I didn’t put myself out there. Wish me luck!

I get rejections every week in tonnes. But only the brave survive the game. Been doing it for the last 7 years and 3 years in my business.. So loving every moment.
Thanks for this. Been super hesitant about reaching out to "too many" people to proof a concept or get a client. As simple as it sounds, setting that goal of 100 seems like a solid approach.
KZread isn't a paycheck, It is a place where you can find opening doors. The quote about 100 was the magic of KZread. tHanks for the video

yes, same with me. But this mindset will help. I will collect rejections and I will put a goal
very spot on! take points:::create rejection goals and cultivate a feedback loop and ask the following 1. Why not? 2. Who is one person you know who would really like this 3. What would make this a no-brainer for you 4. What would you pay for that
OMG this is a gem. This is literally one of the best videos I have ever seen. Nowadays there are so many KZreadrs that doesn't even provide any value or real steps to take but your video consists of valuable lessons. Thank you. I needed it
I think it's so cool how authentic you are, and what you value in your youtube account. Also, this was such a great summary of the book. Thankyou so much!
The thing I get stuck on when I think about starting a business is what if I spend money on equipment and materials and experiment but then I don’t actually enjoy that type of business much less succeed.

nothing gets me more excited and pumped to (cozy!) work than seeing you posted a new video 🎀⭐thank you Deyaaaa
Great video, Deya! Glad you’re on YT
I listened to this book, but to have someone explain things made way more sense to me. I should go listen to this again. You're doing great, keep it up!
Girl omg you explained this book so well! I’m so glad I watched this🤣It inspired me and made me rethink my approach to being a business owner. Thank you for making this queen!🙏🏼💗
Thanks for reading the book for us! Great advice!
your example at the end of each brings it all together and that was a great idea. well done.
Thank you so much for this video Deya!! Just came here after watching your day in the life because it resonated so much. Everything you mentioned here are insights I’ve heard from other sources or revelations i’ve had myself at one point or another, but it’s so easy to hear and instantly dismiss. It clicked differently today watching your video and I truly feel this was the message and answer I have been seeking lately. Thank you!!
Gad I found your channel!! I do watch other similar channels but yours is by FAR more relatable. Thank you!
Wow this video is so important for me. Thank you so much for showing those aspects of starting a business
I just found your channel and this video is the first one. Love how you are explaining things. Really super relatable. Vibing your energy!
Thank you for making this video, it helped give me some insight on what steps I haven't been taking to build up my small art business. That fear of rejection, really gets in the way and I think it is such a valuable tip to collect them like tiny treasures. I'll keep following your work, because I really think you add value and promote positive mindsets!
I truly enjoy you as I hope this for myself when I start to produce my videos consistently
Thanks a lot for this. I had stopped experimenting for a while and forgot how important it is to keep experimenting. I was searching for something like this to fix my mindset and restart everything I used to do, want to do, and enjoy. You mentioned enough strong points to convince me to start again :)
So much value in each of your videos! I can tell how passionate you are about it aswell! Currently a UGC creator but want to do more creative freelancing - so love your channel! Just subbed 😊
Love this reframing of your own goals! My first step is getting my clothes on a market - I’ve made up a whole website and lots of products and I need to start focusing on smaller steps

I do insurance telemarketing. It’s a great job. I was paid last years over 54k doing it part time, less than 20 hrs a week. And I’ve been doing it for years in same company and am becoming an insurance agent.
Thank you so much for those 4 lessons. I experienced all 4 yesterday when one of my prospected clients said no because of a lack of money on their part. I have closed other deals but getting 100 "rejections" is a good goal, and I made more than $1 already :-)
Thanks so much for summarising this book! Really insightful
Just found your channel and I learned more in this video than a ton of others I’ve watched about business. Thank you!
This was such a great video! Thank you. ❤
Outstanding content - thank you Deya. I love how you've distilled the key messages and made them immediately actionable.
Great video Deya, better quality than 99.9% of creators in the space. Thanks for keeping it authentic.
Excellent video, and I appreciate the “executive summary” approach to your book review. Well done!
I only watch to the end because you have a talent for smiling and talking at the same time. It's like...ok,...I've had enough, I have to turn this off....but she looks so cute, whatever she's saying. It's pleasant to watch. A lot of KZreadrs don't have that knack.
Sooooo relatable. Thank you! Great video.
You are a great communicator! Thank you for this video!
First time watching you, clicked on your video to check out the book review but kept listening to the end because Your personality is awesome, so glad that KZread recommended me your channel.
This is actually a valuable video. I think over the years, I started doing some of these steps, but still have other things to try and improve upon. Thank you for this video

Hey! This was great. Needed to hear this and just my luck got all this valuable info in 12 minutes versus 4 hours of reading. You’re doing the world a service! Consider me a fan after one video.
Thank you, this video is AWESOME!!!🥰
Thank you for your content Deya!
I love this video. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this simplified value-dense actionable book summary! Definitely gonna listen the audiobook as well (read by the author).
Love this, especially number 2. I once read this quote (paraphrased) on stand up comedy by I think Jay Sankey - "You don't know if you like doing stand up until you have done it at least 3 times." It makes sense because one could easily bomb one time, do well another, and then have a (somewhat) realistic view of the ups and downs of what stand up could be like after 3 times. But usually people do it once and quit. This tip of doing something 100x is that idea on a much larger scale and definitely makes sense if the endeavor is something someone has wanted to do for a while and seems worthwhile. Happy experimenting ya'll!
Thank you for your video! I love the reminder of setting small actionable goals now! 🙌🏼

Love love love. This is far superior to Tim Ferris’s hour long interview with the author. Thank you Deya getting to the point.
I stumbled upon this video and I decided to subscribe when you said you wanted to quit making KZread videos after making a few videos but decided to persevere until you make 100 videos. This really spoke with me. Thank you for sharing this wisdom.
The dress is fabulous. It was the dress and its marvelous pattern that caught my attention when looking for something to watch.
Appreciate your videos, Deya. I’ve been hovering around the $1000 per month mark writing articles for about two years now and am taking initiative to reach the next level ($5k) per month. Been watching a few of your videos lately and appreciate your take on blending growth-based action with actually enjoying your life. Thank you, fantastic video + great demeanour! You seem to get it!
Thank you for the video and kinda unrelated but you look glam here Deya! 🔥

Loved this video, keep it up. The message at the end was great, I love seeing the passion and excitement for trying to build your network of entrepreneurs. Have been following Noah for over a decade and love his stuff, but haven’t gotten to his book yet. Will take some time to get to his book as well as Hormozi’s book. Thanks for the video, reminds me that at 38 I’m not too old to pursue my own thing.
Awww I love your goal. What a beautiful video!! Thanks for sharing ❤
Sorry to say I've passed on a few of your videos in my recommended feed for a while. This was a great walkthrough of Noah's book! I read it a couple months ago and really liked it. ah i totally understand the struggle -- it took me yeaaaars to even admit I wanted a business of my own. The only way I started was by actually creating a 15-min a day rule for myself where every day for at least 15 minutes, I'd work on my business, even if that was just 15 mins laying on the floor thinking about it haha The small, tiny steps every day made the biggest difference; that business has gone on to make hundreds of thousands of dollars now. It all began with a 15-min commitment! :) Couple that with trying a LOT of times + actively seeking rejection and you can't go wrong! You'll get incredible feedback from potential customers/clients and can then build a business that really solves problems for them + is a win-win for both. Cheering you on -- keep me updated! :)
