Geometry Dash is more than just a mobile game, it is a game with a crazy and amazing community behind it. The creators who make custom levels in this game are absolutely going wild with what the geometry dash editor can do. With the 2.2 update finally coming out after 7 years of waiting, the editor is basically now a game engine, and you can literally make anything in it. People have been making Five Nights at Freddys, mario, etc. It is absolutely wild, I'm so glad you ranked it on S-tier.

That was NOT Temple Run... but its hard to emulate the real temple run, from what I remember, it was controlled by tilting your phone left and right.

personally, i think its an A tier. because i won't always play it. i'd just play it like a few times then its just gonna sit on my device forever.

Repost from a reply I made, but: In geometry dash, people have made full blown 2d RPGs, actual music, 3D renders of objects, some mindbogglingly good levels, and much, much more. It has an insanely active community, just had a major update drop, and easily deserves S tier.

i think what made these games fun back in the day is we had no ads popping up every minute

i played an insane amount of jetpack joyride and temple run growing up…. the nostalgia is real

Really hope to see a part 2 with games like dumb ways to die, shadow fight 2, drive ahead, hill climb racing, plague inc, etc

The Infinity Blade trilogy remains to be the best Mobile games released. Full fledged RPG's. Shame that Epic took it down cause Fortnite exploded. Well technically they took it down because they "couldn't give it support" but that was cause they were putting literally all their resources into Fortnite, which business wise makes sense, but I'm still sad the games are gone.

Not the worst takes I've seen. I'd love to see Mogul Mail's opinion though. That guy seems more nuanced and would really respect the artistic interpretation of Paper Toss

I'm still missing a few noteworthy entries on that list mister Wig. Talking Tom, cookie clicker, coin dozer, 8 ball pool, cartoon wars, bike race, bbtan, plague Inc., logo quiz. These are all mobile games that are playable without internet. The real ones, the ones that people continue to play for years, are the ones that require internet connection. Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, Raid Shadow legends, Wordfeud, Genshin Impact are some games that come to mind Then there are games like those whose servers have been taken down, like gun bros and contract killer.

@@skoomd4447 what? First of all, for all the hate Raid seems to get, the app sure seems to do fine in terms of activations (which, if it didn't work, they would have stopped doing by now). So Raid is clearly a game that would have deserved recognition on this list. Second, if you're talking ALL mobile games, you're not just talking old ones. Again, Raid wouldn't have been misplaced in this list. Thirdly, I just listed some of the oldest games out there (including some at the bottom that have since been taken off the platform). Telling me that I have been born after 2010 just because I listed one game which has been spam advertised all over the internet for the past half a decade, is simply being blinded by your own hate for the game (or the advertisements). Grow up, be better.

There was an era of console level games that were lost to time. Infinity blade went from the easter egg hunting fighting game to a fortnite event. Galaxy on fire succumbed to the pay-to-win scene and went to obscurity by the time GOF3 was released, call of duty mobile felt more modern warfare 4 than black ops 2. Idk, if ludwig had a wayback machine for mobile apps, those would be bomb to look at. P.s. infinity blade I, II, III was my favorite and it kept me occupied when waiting on the bus back in high school, those were the days, but it was removed from the ios store, something about not renewing the license or something idk

Infinity Blade was actually innovative for the time. Mobile games just didn't look or play like it, it's so damn sad that those games have been lost to time.

Pls make a full run of Geometry Dash, where you beat every single lvl. Including the demon levels.

I never knew 2048 had a swipe function for computers. Arrow keys just make more sense for the scale of the game.

You mentioned playing through those scam games. There's a game called "Yeah! You Want "Those Games," Right? So Here You Go!" Which a literal compilation of several scam clickbait ad games (those games with interesting ads, but are entirely different games after download), but they made them the same as the ads.

i was addicted to getting all the jetpack joyride unlocks as a kid but once i got the little dog companion, i stopped playing (when you died it would go beside you and make a sad whimpering noise and i couldnt deal with that)

The only mobile games I respect are the ones where you have the option to pay to get rid of ads or have a paid version. Because paid games by themselves are not commercially viable on mobile rn. And microtransactions run games when it's pay to win

The Halfbrick games are so simple yet well designed, and now have a lot more to them that maybe takes away from that, but man, Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride are great. The best mobile games werent on this list tho other than maybe those imo. (Eternium comes to mind, Apple Knight, some of the better Stickman games, Order and Chaos 1&2, that 3d tower defense game im blanking on...)
