Quitting is not giving up when you're quitting because another path is better for you. I started watching your channel because of your job, but I stayed because of your personality and who you are. I will be a viewer for as long as you keep making content. I'm proud of you for prioritizing yourself, Clancy!

Clancy you have to realize that those people who complained to your boss about your you tube channel saw your talent and it scared them. They were jealous at how good you were and how much the public likes you. Hope you find something that makes you happy and you can use your talents better. Anxiety is horrible. I have battled it for the last few years for the first time in my 71 years. Can hardly wait to see your future. YOU GO GIRL!!!

I always see nurses so overworked! It’s easier in the early stages of career, but I keep telling my nursing friends they should look into cosmetics or try and get a position at a 9-5 GP office, you can see it on their faces and in the energy they have to live any normal life. Obviously someone has to do the job, but it’s just so hard to watch.

Clancy, though we've never met, you have had such a major impact on my life and as a fellow TV reporter in Ohio, I'm seriously inspired and encouraged by all that you've done. Growing up in Ohio but having worked in the entertainment industry in LA for 10+ years, I really didn't think I was truly cut out for news. That was until one day I stumbled upon your channel and thought - wow, there are so many styles of news and this reporter uses her PERSONALITY. I got a job as a morning reporter back in Toledo where I loved it but was also struggling with my health. I reached out to you and I remember you saying - health above all!! along with some helpful tips. I ended up landing a dayside reporter job in Columbus and it really has felt like such a great next step. Fascinating where life brings us and stoked to see where ya'll land next. Thank you for putting yourself out there even on the hard days, I can't imagine continuing KZread after getting so many comments from work, talk about bravery! (still trying to balance and figure out my voice on here among the multiple personas it feels like we have in news!) If ya'll are ever in Cbus, I'll take ya out for a drink! Congrats on the journey ahead!

Although we’re in totally different careers, I’ve been in your shoes girl! Two years ago I quit an amazing job with no back-up plan because I was truly burned out and depressed! It was so scary at the time and like you, I was sweating every night along with waking up shaking! Listening to you share how you felt and how supportive Zack was/is, reminded me of myself and my hubby. I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and learning to separate our identities from work is a huge milestone in life! We’re socialized from a young age to put our worth in our work, but the truth is we’re so much more than than our jobs! We are valuable regardless if we’re employed or not! Plus, over time we evolve/grow (like we’re supposed to!) and a job may not suit us anymore and that’s okay! I had to work with a coach to be able to recognize that! A quote that got me through that tough time that I’d love to share with you is, “Not all storms come to disrupt your life, some come to clear your path” -Paulo Coelho. Have faith in the universe ❤️ it has your back!

I did 1:30am wake ups for 5.5 years when I worked for an airline (not every day but more often than not) and it’s bloody tough and I emphasise with you. It’s not easy at all and it’s so unbelievably tolling - not only on yourself, mental health, social life but also it’s hard on your family and friends because you’re just so tired, need sleep and often bail on outings. When I swapped to “normal” hours, I was shocked out how much my health improved and I realised how shockingly tired and drained I was. Clancy I'm so happy for you! I literally just went through something like this and I just truly cannot believe how happy I am! I went from being an underpaid, Construction Project Manager (Civil Engineer by education), working long long hours, missing holidays and gatherings with friends like you, to taking a tangent Project Manager job at a different company (still in construction) with a 40% raise, flexible work, and 3 times as much vacation! If something doesn't feel right, take the leap!! I am soooooo happy I did! Congratulations and so happy to watch you on this new journey!

Hey Clancy! I totally feel your pain. It takes a lot to step away from something you know is not serving you. Just know that so many of your subscribers are so proud of you for making such a tough decision. I used to be a breaking news reporter (which was mostly a courts & crime beat) and it KILLED me. I was young in my career and eager to prove but I was completely burned out. I almost quit journalism for good. It took much-needed rest, therapy, and rethinking of a few life goals but I was able to recover. I learned a lot. SO MUCH. But one of the most important lessons was that you are a HUMAN before a journalist. It's okay to put yourself first. It's alright to want to have a life outside of your career. It's absolutely fine to change your mind. A gentle reminder: while the behind-the-scenes news content was fun, we came for YOU and your personality. Can't wait to see what's next for you. Congrats on this major life change!

Omgosh, I am so excited for you! I never understood how you could live through that schedule. I love surprises, I love watching people live their dreams, make scary changes and trying something new. You don't need permission from anyone. We're all lucky that you invite us in to watch you do your thing. Just do what makes you happy, that's really all that matters, whether you have 1 followers or a million. 😊

You inspired me to major in Journalism and I was broadcast focused but realized it wasn’t for me and you helped me realize this. You are so awesome for following your own path. You are so inspiring and I wish you the best.

I have been a lurker on your channel for months. Today I finally subscribed and I’ll comment for the first time. Your work ethic is incredible. I think you are holding yourself to a standard that no one else is in that department. You stuck it out in a job that you loved but was HARD for TWO YEARS after you decided to quit! That is insanely commendable. I for one am super excited to see what you get up to next and how much your health improves with a normal sleep schedule! Blessings from Nashville!

You would make a great teacher Clancy. Congrats on the changes! I recently made a job change due to a very non-conducive schedule at my previous job and I’m so happy with the change! My whole mood has improved and I don’t know how I did the last job for as long as I did. You are making a courageous move by leaving what you know, but it’s a move upwards for your well being.
