Clancy, I would strongly suggest that you and Zac sign up for a CPR class if you haven’t already! They will take you through the training in CPR for baby & adult and it is actually kind of fun to learn! (and quite a bit of a workout!). I feel like everyone should have those skills in their arsenal! At home or in public if someone needs CPR until the professionals arrives, it is an invaluable lifesaving skill to know! As a nurse & parent I feel so much more prepared, come what may!👍🏽

2:15 - I had one time I was barfing, running to the toilet down the hall. When I got to the toilet, I stopped. Also Clancy, your barf story had me HOWLING. Not because I'm laughing at you, I'm laughing WITH you! Been there! I'm a dad of two (who are now in their 20s) and I do recall all kinds of funny phrases like "Take the kittens out of the tuba" and "Stop licking the car", and you and Zac will be saying things that you'd find bizarre pre-kids. The scariest part is when you start sounding like your PARENTS. AHAHAHAHAH!!!!

I don’t think the leash was attached to the dog vest correctly. It should be attached to the loop on the top.

I had the WORST heartburn ever with my son…..I was also sick almost the entire pregnancy…..and in nursing school, trying to graduate, take my boards, starting a new job, got married, moved, AND I was 14 days overdue, only to give birth to a 9-1/2 lb baby……. 😂😂😂 oh, and he had a full head of hair, and never lost a strand .

When my daughter was born, her dad brought home blankets that smelled like her for the dog to smell for when she came home. It was recommended that to be done.

Giiiiiirl, yes! The pregnancy nose is real!! Happened to me 1 weeks ago before I gave birth and I had sausage lips too. Freaked me out haha. It goes away before you even leave the hospital I think from losing majority of the weight and fluids.

I hate milk but I drink it when I have acid reflux. I get it usually in the middle of the night & it’s bad. Try milk. Omg. Look how big Asher is. I always wash & dry my before appt & I leave with my hair wet. I do it at home & it costs is 150.

we didn't follow it because it is a new thing I wasn't told that when I had my first child in 1997 who was 10.3 lbs. When i had my last in 2010 they said it was important. I didn't because by that time I had 4 kids. My sister-in-law woke up her sons and she regretted it because they didn't sleep through the night until over a year. I slept on the couch with my two youngest but I am also a very light sleep even today my youngest will sneeze upstairs in her room and I'm up going upstairs to check on her. Everyone is different but I am a child of 70s and lived but today you have all these doctors saying this or that it comes down to once your baby is here you will find your own routine and you will find your motherly instinct.

I have awful acid reflux and have learned a few things: -Don't eat tomatoes for dinner -don't lie down for three hours after eating -I mix 1/8 teaspoon ginger with 1 teaspoon baking soda (or two unmedicated alkaseltzer tablets) in 20 ounces of water and keep that water bottle next to my bed. It's the only thing that helps the nighttime heartburn. -Don't underestimate the power of prescription meds, talk to your doctor for help there.

Regarding the sleep, I've heard from SOOOO many people that pregnancy tired is way worse than newborn tired. You may not get a ton of sleep with a newborn, but you'll hopefully get better quality sleep and can drink coffee again! I'm 35 weeks, so I can't confirm this, but it's giving me hope since I am always tired right now lol

Tip ... Don't feed the baby flat ... Like you said their air passages are open and so is their sinuses and ear canals ... They don't close till later ... It will either keep them from getting ear infections or help with fewer ear infections ... I didn't ever feed mine flat and they never in their lives have had an ear infection ...

Introducing Asher to baby is crucial. Zack needs to carry baby in the house. You will hug Asher and tell him you missed him. Zack needs to give Asher something with the baby smell on it. Asher needs to see and smell baby. Never push Asher away or lock him away from you and baby. I took classes on this with our dog trainer. My friends who freaked out and didn’t want the dog with baby or set really strict boundaries had big issues with their animals. Dogs protect their little humans. I taught this to my daughter and all my dogs still protect them when they come here. The last grandson Bodhi, he’s 4 now, his father would not follow my suggestions at their home. Now Bodhi does not like the dog and the dog doesn’t know how to interact with him. Unfortunately the dog spends a lot of time crated or outside. I’m not happy. I have two large dogs. 9 and 6 years old. They were introduced to my little grandson at 7 days old. They smelled him, laid by him etc. they are best buds when he comes here. He treats them, plays ball with them, and they guard him by the pool. His father regrets his stance. I also feel extremely sad for the dog and my grandson. They will never be friends or best buddies. Of course every family has their own ideas. When his dad isn’t home, the dog is out of the crate and they are getting a bit better. Good luck, I know you do your research and you will do what’s right for your family. Great vlog except swallowing your stuff🤮. I was indeed eating. I gagged😆

My kids were both premature and we had to wake them for feedings until they reached a certain weight. It will really depend on your baby, their weight gain, and if they have acid reflux/tummy issues.

For reflux - take 1/2 tsp of baking soda to 2 oz of water. It's NATURAL and safe. It takes about 10 minutes for it to work. Take it as soon as you feel the reflux coming on.

Waking baby is very important, they may not gain enough weight, and if that happens, it means every other day weigh ins😢 if you’re good with routine, it will definitely help once the baby gets older!! My baby had her nap time and sleep time down packed!!! You’re going to be a great mama❤

If I can give any advice, try really hard to put your baby on a schedule. It may be a little hard at first but having a set schedule REALLY helps! Also, be sure to research for how to care for your body AFTER birth. I wasn't personally prepared for that and it's alot! Also, your hair will likely fall out after birth so don't be alarmed. It's completely normal. I can't believe you are almost to the finish line! ❤

My dog was almost 4 when my daughter was born. There were a couple times when she brought her ball over to my newborn wanting to play😂 now that she’s a toddler, they cuddle and play together. It’s so sweet. It takes time but Asher and baby boy will be besties one day!
