Our ego will become our greatest downfall of we don't learn how to control ourselves and just look for ways to feed it. We should always be in control as to not fall into addiction.

This is what is scary about drugs. It will take away everything or make you give up practically anything just to satisfy a craving. In my area for example, addicts sell properties even people just to sustain their addiction. Hell true story at times a husband will use his wife as a bargaining chip just to get going seriously. So this is not new to me.

Definitely telling on the cravings help me along with just reaching out to another person with long term sobriety, 12 step meetings and for me lots of prayer is everything I've had to incorporate into my daily routine. Also have a daily routine that keeps me busy on positivity and growth. On the 13th I will 13 months if I continue to do what I have been thus far. If you are on Facebook I suggest adding a few recovery groups and actually posting about how you feel each day. There is tons of support I have found and if I can do it so can you. I'll add you to my prayers list if you don't mind 🙏😊

If you want a book with all the answers, pick up a Bible. The problem with the big book is, 12 steps. What do you do after you have done all 12? You need to understand the born again experience and have a relationship with the one who made you. Once you get born again, you receive a new nature, old things pass away, all things become new. God makes you into a brand new person and will continue changing you all of your life. The Bible speaks about how we are all born into sin, with a sin nature. Everything we do before being born again, is sin dominated. The wages of sin, is death. These things will completely destroy your life, everything around you and eventually you. This is where the born again experience comes into play. God gives us a new nature and completely new desires. You are no longer controlled by the sin, but you are guided by Christ. Every answer to every problem is found in the Bible. We need a relationship with the father and our lives need to be governed by the Holy Spirit. This guy is speaking somewhat about this, without really understanding it. He's definitely doing all he knows to do. I hope he will pick up a Bible one day and really find the answer. Many people in this world today have religion, without a relationship. Religion is nothing but rules and regulations, relationship is a new heart and your desires completely change, all based out of love. You can't win salvation by doing good, but when you get God on the inside, you will love to do good things. It flows from the heart, not forcibly. Being born again, is the greatest thing that can ever happen to anyone. Then you will find the love, joy, peace and other wonderful qualities that come along with it. The difference between being religious and truly born-again, is an inner change in the heart. You do the right things because they bring you satisfaction, not out of fear or because of a rule. You become a brand new human being. The Bible says "If anyone be in Christ, they are a new creation. Old things are passed away, all things become new". You are completely forgiven and have a brand new start in life.
