@@izsan9070 There’s a North Korean defector called Yeomi Park who’s written and talked extensively about her experiences growing up in NK. Pretty horrific stuff - horrendous poverty, starvation so bad they lived on not much more than cabbages and insects, the constant threat of imprisonment/torture/death penalty for any petty wrongdoing against the state, etc. And some acts against the state are punished along generation lines, so people get sent to concentration camps where they’ll never leave, and where their kids and grandkids will be born into. These people are considered subhuman and aren’t even allowed to look the guards in the eye or they’ll be shot. It’s horrific. She has a KZread channel if you’re interested. It’s disturbing but it truly makes you appreciate how good we have it in the democratic west.

@Beverly Marsh you seem to only educated in a certain point of view when that view is outdated. The thing is Japan is the fastest growing economy in the world and most can find a job in the highly urbanised environment. Though in many countries cases of poverty are from what the government officials do not the system it runs on. Even though it may seem like it fails, how does it grow if everyone believes it to be cancer and that it must be stopped. Only in certain cases does it collapse or corrupt Because of certain situations. I rest my case
