People complaining about Teh’s behavior and not understanding his arc from ITSAY to IPYTM only has exposure to a “perfect” MC, the person who knows what to say and how to say it. I’m not generalizing but majority of those people can’t handle a flawed character. Teh is driven and goal oriented as he was introduced in ITSAY. The fact that he had to give up his dreams so many times - giving Teh the lead part in the play, him giving his slot to Oh aew, him not getting into the university he wanted even so the fact that he just came out coz of Oh aew. Everything significant in Teh’s life revolved around Oh aew. He feels alone. He feels isolated. He feels invalidated. Him projecting his insecurities and frustrations is just another layer to his character. He holds everyone around him dearly. He wants them to succeed together. Now, he feels alone. Top and Khim just graduated. Most probably Jai will graduate next episode. Oh aew has his own circle of friends. Teh is alone. He was hoping to hold on to the people around him to feel like what he’s doing is right that all his sacrifices is worth it. Do I agree with his reactions? absolutely not, but do I understand? YES. He is a young adult at most. He is still trying to navigate life. Alone. Away from his family. Away from his home. Away from his partner. Away from the university he wanted. Away from his past and present friends. This is overwhelming. I think Teh is probably one of the most complex realistic characters ever written.

I really appreciate your comment this is exactly how I felt too. I was watching another reacter earlier who kept calling Teh a jerk and how he's on Oh Aeww side and I send a similar thing to him as you but I think people seem to have forgotten everything that Teh through in ITSAY, everything for Teh always revolves around how he can make the people he love happy and he just needs the same, I feel. Oh! by the way, the way he went off on Khim I didn't like that. In the first episode, he did everything so that Oh Aeww didn't feel lonely and I feel that in this episode because Oh Aeww and Khim didn't keep him in the loop about what's going on with them everything that he was holding in spilled out in the worst way.

Although I know that teh is wrong, I can completely understands him. We all are not perfect. Teh is trying to learn to accept the hardships of reality. In this way, he might be wrong. But he is not the only one. We all do. He is a character who has flaws but we all can relate to it. At one point in our lie, we all do mistakes like him. I like that nadao is dare to make main characters who has flaws. Usually, main characters are always perfect and flawless. Teh reminds us that we always intentionally hurt our loves one and it is wrong.

He's also very young. It's very understandable for him to process things that way given his situation. In the end he was able to understand why he reacted that way and he was able to apologize to Oh-Aew, and that's all that matters. 💖 - Tita Josie

Thank you for your Mature reaction towards Teh. I've seen a lot a people bashing him and taking sides in Oh Aeww favour. I'm too old to be taking sides myself so a remain neutral when it comes to everyone's emotional needs. His behaviour of lashing out when everything builds up instead of saying what he thinks everyone wants to hear will change as he learns to communicate more. Both of you are right about what you do in college is not exactly what you will end up doing. I can testify to that.

I have a lot in my mind. I admire those people who can adjust with reality, swiftly, that personality is really something. I feel Teh's processing it. At first, it appears that Oh's the one who can't adjust but in reality it's Teh, he can't adjust yet to these changes. I'm so heart broken for him, he felt left out, it's his emotions rushing to him , I know he didn't mean it. It's really painful that sometimes, we said words to inflict pain to other people we care . I like how they talked about it in the end. What a roller coaster kind of emotion in this episode. Shed tears for Khim and Teh. That phone call from Jai ... Susphish That stare to Oh Aew susphish Oh Aew promised first that he's gonna love him unchanged, like in the poster ... And Teh too so they're confusing us. Susphish Now I have a trust issue Ahhahaah I suspect episode 3 will be lovey dovey and 4-5 will be tear jerker and introduced Jai & Q's character development that's gonna leave us 😭💔😲😮😱

Hi guys, salamat! As always, love your raw reactions and commentary😊 ... casting calls are that brutal. Theater professors at university tend to give hard constructive criticism in order to prepare actors/ actresses for the real world, the types of criticism they're likely to face. This helps some students like Oh-aew decide early-on if they really want to be in actor/ actress, etc. If they can handle it. Music majors experience similar harsh critic, actually most Performing Arts majors experience this, including dancers. Tita, you are right when you said that that Professor was actually really nice to Oh-aew. At least at the university the criticism is usually more constructive, in real life there is often no filter, no constructive feedback. Music majors have it a little easier today bc they have the Internet and social media to help them get discovered. They didn't always have that luxury and then that critic really mattered if you wanted to make it big. I'm all for people having dreams and trying to make it happen, but that's why when you study at university you really shouldn't just study what you love blindly, you need to be realistic too. Does what you are educating yourself to do give you "real" job possibilities when you are done or are you educating yourself to the unemployment line with sometimes huge student loans to pay back? Like Kim said to Teh, not everyone has the same life conditions to keep dreams going without much "payback" in return. For me, the biggest takeaway from this episode... People change..."Everyone has their own paths... I promise you that I will still love you all the same. And I'll love you too and that's never going to change. I promise." 💕

Completely agree. I loved how this episode portrayed that brutal aspect of the entertainment industry. The truth is that most people really do give us because it just doesn't pay as well as people think it does, and in reality people really do have families they need to support. 💔 - Tita Josie

@@TitaJosie Yes, it's also the worry. When is my next "gig"? Will it pay enough, etc? Can I pay rent this month? Can I afford food, electricity? The day-to-day uncertainty is really stressful. And, yes, if you have a family to support that just makes the need to succeed even more dire and overwhelming. You can't be selfish and think about your own "wants" but rather "needs" to live, to survive. 💔😞💔 I don't know if you had to give up any dreams along the way. You've mentioned before in a different RV how you had to help support your whole family and I just want to say that that's really admirable!💖

I see what you mean. For example, the argument scene was the most realistic argument I've seen in a Thai BL. The realism in IPYTM is very in-your-face, and I don't think I've seen that in a Thai BL before. It will make people uncomfortable, but I personally love it that way. 💖 - Tita Josie

@@TitaJosie I just finished your video and THAT'S it. It's not just more realistic than most BLs but most shows. I think that's what I struggled with this episode. It was hard to watch at times and uncomfortable. It also hits too close to home. It's bringing me right back to my college days. I stayed home but all my friends moved away so that starting all over, making new friends, uncertainty in career choice and rigidity much like Teh are all things I could relate to. I think I hate how much I can relate to Teh LOL! I don't think I'm a jerk like him but I am uncomfortable with how much I understand his resistance to change. I do think this Teh has grown though. Even though he made the same mistakes it took him longer to make them. He tried really hard to get it right but then ultimately fell back into bad habits. I will say that old Teh would not have gotten to that bridge apology in a week and even though Oh was helping him he found the words and was honest. I was glad to see that growth. He shattered my heart when he said he was afraid Oh was going to leave him. It made everything else he did make sense. It was a mess cause he is a mess LOL but I can see now he wasn't just lashing out over change. He was terrified the love his life would get bored with him too. I finally talked some friends into watching this. They are still on season 1 only 1 episode to go. They have never watched a BL and they LOVE it. One of my friends said the show was teaching her compassion. I asked her what she meant. She said Teh's character is so frustrating and she wants to just write him off and call him a jerk but you see is constant inner struggle. It's so well portrayed that he often doesn't say the words cause he doesn't have them or understand why he feels the way he does so he acts out instead. She said it's making her think twice before writing someone off cause they could have an inner struggle going on. I thought that was so sweet. Anyway great reaction as always. Thank you guys!

I'm so happy you're friend sees him that way! She should talk to Tito Miles. He got really irritated with Teh in part 1 too. Lol! 😜 But yeah, he definitely is having to grow up really fast in Bangkok. So is Oh-Aew, though Oh-Aew is so far handling the changes better (still struggling, but better) than Teh is. 💖 - Tita Josie
