korean culture is very outwardly polite but extremely judgemental, superficial, two faced, and overall not what i would call lovely at all.
Honestly that mucking around at the beginning is also a great way to show the audience the difference between hitting a bucket with drumsticks and *playing* the bucket with drumsticks
The genuine cheering when he did the lil tap tap at the beginning makes my heart happy 😊 wholesome encouragement
Although he’s using a bucket as a low budget drum, but still his performance are the best. I’m really impressed

Yes, to pretend to be bad would be to try and fail to keep simple beats, etc, to disappoint expectation. If I saw the first part irl, my expectations would just keep building and building because I would assume that the legit performance would start eventually

This was a great performance! I am a grandfather already, but I still use huge marching sticks on my rubber practice pad everyday besides playing my whole set for my once-a-week jam with friends. You have very refined stick control, and it's very entertaining to watch you play. Cheers.

This was so impressive i accidently let half my cigarette burn my jaw dropped not even smoking at that point. The precision, the skill, the speed, the stick flip tricks, and even his rhythm techniques were incredible and stunning. If he becomes a drummer in bands i would watch no matter the genre just to see his incredible skills and technique.

When they started clapping at the beginning you should have got up and pretending to leave lol shows over Edit, next time get a buddy to go with you and half way through have him put a dollar in the tip bucket. Makes people less nervous if someone has already done it before and they have watched it they will surely tip
