it's like they told them: "go to your room, think about what you've done! you can come back when you've made an effort!" though of course much nicer

I just love how the game over ask "Are you sure you want to continue?" Even they know it insane to keep playing the game

The game is very immersive because it turns you into a deranged creature of malnourishment and cavedwelling by the time you're done with a playthrough

"Gollum won the argument" Has some meme potential

I really have to question why they thought it was a good idea to add a healthbar to game with no combat

Reminds me of old horror RPG maker games that have health points even though most hazards kill you in one hit (except when poisoning or bleeding)

Some of them just made the HP 1, but I remember a couple of games where there were puzzles that used poison or something like that to make the health bar into a time limit. Even if it got fully healed at each save point and it didn't matter for 99% of the game, some of them did make some good use of those arbitrary RPG Maker features! More than can be said for *this* game..

This game belongs in the category of "Wouldn't even defile my harddrive by pirate it" -category.

If you want more of a laugh, the red lightning in the first area is based on the direction you look. So if you look straight up the cliffs, the lightning will come out the rocks at a 90 degree angle and appear 5 feet in front of Gollems face

I feel like some roblox games have more time/effort put into them than alot of big games in recent years, really a scary thought

Not sure how much potential gollum had as a game but it certainly had more than this, the state of game I feel is partially due to the company which you can see why when you look at their games they developed, they basically didn't know how to create what this was originally supposed to be and it seems they barely can hold a platformer like this together even with duct tape and glue

Not gonna lie, when I first saw a screenshot of Golems model, I legit thought that it was a low polly, placeholder render for the actual model. Like there's no fucking way anyone can convince me that THAT is the final render. Hell, you can't even convince me that this is even the final 1.0 release!

50 $ game btw ... And some features like Emotes and Sindarin (Elven Language) Voice Over, that other games would have as options, are day 1 paid DLCs.

You can tell this is a good game because it slowly turn it's player become more and more like the main character. And like the movie, only the one with the strong will can go through the entire game.

This is some 2005 platformer-level shite, except 2005 platformers had the excuse of being released in 2005.

When I went to watch this, I immediately got a add for the game kaif is playing. 😂

@@Kaiff2 the only way to fix this is to rebuild it from the ground up. Out of the many mildly interesting parts of Sméagol’s life, they pick the most boring part where he is suppose to sit in a prison being tortured until he confesses and is released anyway by Sauron. Talk about inconsequential…

You know at least with Forspoken and Redfall you could actually finish the game on release, that's where we are with triple A games. It's a blessing if you get the entire game at this point. And hell to call any of these "games" is generous, as shit as Cyberpunk was on launch at least there were like actual gameplay elements and things to do. I'm desperately holding out hope that AC Mirage will be good because I have heavy nostalgia for that series but it seems like a pipe dream at this point.
