X and Y are by far the coziest games in the series. It feels like you have a big blanket on you that is comforting. Kalos is incredibly scenic and fun to explore.

Fennekin AND Bulbasaur? Soooo based

pokemon xy had SOOOOO MUCH potential and its so sad to see that it never lived up to it. They saved a solid 70% of the story for the sequels which is so tragic given they were cancelled. Hopefully ZA helps fix this bc XY is easily my favorite gen.

If legends za is in the past then I feel like it's just gonna be a game set in kalos, with little connection to pokemon x and y though.

Honestly it was one of my favourite games. I loved the theories going on before it came out in 2013. People thought megas looked like fusions, there was gonna be a steel or posion eeveelution, etc… It was one of the most aesthetically pleasing games. I love how the core concept is beauty and choosing France for it was a perfect choice. The region had many amazing designs and megas is the best gimmick by far. I love how it incorporated a big friend group in the game much like how it is in the anime. I’ve probably played through it 10+ times since 2013, always is fun

I was about to say something about the pronunciations but then I saw Gengar with the “🤓☝️” and I just shut the hell up 😂😂😂 it’s okay even us vets have our moments.

I've been working on my Living Origin Dex (getting all the Pokemon from each region they are originally from) so have been playing through X (played through Y back in the day) to get the version exclusives and saw your video recommended. Pokemon Y was my first foray into the competitive online battle scene. It was when I began to learn about IVs, EVs, and breeding. I am now playing in Pokemon Y while the online features are still available, as sadly, they will be shut down five days from posting this. Even started the game over. I will miss transferring Pokemon back and forth between Y and Omega Ruby, and Wonder Trading on the two games. At the very least, Pokemon Showdown continues to allow the use of Mega Evolution in a competitive fashion, and will be returning for at least Legends A-Z.

Funny enough when I was first paying this game I caught a Fletchling not knowing it would evolve into a fire type, then I added that op speed boost Torchick, and when I got to the professor’s lab I picked Charmander because I never picked him before in any game not realizing I had 3 fire types on my team.

I love these videos, they are the highlight of my week. I can't wait to see more :)) I hope more people recognise your talent

Now that I’m older with a job I always wanted to buy and experience the old ds and 3ds games. Watching you play and making me want to pull the trigger even more. Don’t get me wrong I love the switch games but I know I missed out on so much. I’m excited for more content on the 3ds games

I’m a big gen 7 fan, cuz I just think the designs r peak, and regional variants r awesome. but gen 6 is genuinely, incredibly underrated. Unlike some more recent games that came out,(cough cough* BD and SP) gen 6 did the “3-D chibi” thing really well, and I actually really like how it looks. It introduced the fairy type, which is one of my favorite types, honestly top 3 next to bug and ghost. Plus mega evolution is super cool, with exception to the fact that it’s pokémon abuse hehe. I also think the story is pretty good, they just needed to work on the antagonist a lot more, team flare might genuinely be my least favorite evil team, they’re just confusing. But I love all the AZ stuff which is y I’m very excited for Legends Z-A.

The first Pokemon I fell in love was Bulbasaur.

I started replaying gen 6 in the fall, but I only play sporadically and tend to really take my time when playing a game so I still haven’t gotten further than the fairy type gym. This gen used to be my least favourite and while I still stand by a lot of my reasons for thinking this (such as how there are only 3 trainers other than you who use mega evolution against you) during my replay I have found a lot of charm and little details in this game that i quite like. I also think I find this game more fun with the exp. share off making it more callenging. Nice video by the way, hope your channel takes off, have subscribed.

Loved the video and immediately subscribed!!! I loved X when it came out! I feel like you‘ll enjoy Sun and Moon as a first time player. Despite the amount of cutscenes it has great Pokemon and somehow managed to be one of my favorite generations. If you want to revisit Sapphire and Ruby, ORAS are great remakes!

It's so refreshing to see another person really enjoying X&Y, I feel like the online discourse is usually about how this games were bad (relative to previous ones). I really love Kalos and, while I think a Pokémon Z game would've worked wonders for this generation, X&Y are not nearly as bad as some people make it out to be.

I mean the games feel unfinished to me and honestly a bit boring after the 3rd badge. It just feels empty and undercooked and the gym leaders have no more than 3 pokemon which is OK to start with just not near the end. There are so many issues with the game and tbh I think its understandable they aren't liked by a lot of people

This is almost exactly my story too: loved Pokemon as a kid, stopped because I thought it was childish, grey up and realised I don't care, saw there was a new game coming out and realised I hadn't played X&Y!

This is so silly because I just picked up Y yesterday too X’)!!! I was originally supposed to get oras but I couldn’t find any seller near me that was offering it for a fair price so I solicited for Y and it’s been fun so far, I definitely recommend you check out the alolan games. Pokemon sun was my first game and it’s very dear to me, I liked Ultra Sun too, even though it was essentially just a remaster of Sun and it offered some more content. They’re pretty much the same besides that. One thing I don’t see people talking much about is how amazing and memorable the XY soundtrack is, despite me never playing this game before it felt awfully nostalgic as I heard a bunch of songs I used to be familiar with.

Fire red was my first Pokémon game but I only got to play it when I went to my grandparents house cause it was their game. So I consider gen 6 to be my first generation as it was the first game that I owned. Such good games!!

i just finished a nuzlocke through x bc i had an itch to replay pokemon games, so it was nice seeing a more laid back playthrough of kalos

For me as normal kid with no 3ds i decided to use citra emulator to play pokemon x and y AND I LOVED THE GAME SO MUCH with the mega evolve made the game better and the details. This video is so fun to watch ❤

I’m so happy to see a KZreadr who agrees that these games are good. Every poketuber out there i feel like hates on xy because it was different than all the other generations, which to me isn’t a bad thing. The first 5 gens felt like copy and pasted of eachother, while xy seemed new and interesting. Also the xy anime was great 10/10. I’m so excited for z-a so i can actually play through kalos (i became a hardcore fan during 6th gen but my first game was an emerald rom and shield) instead of just watching people do it. Now that the new legends game has been announced, I’ve seen so much love and nostalgia for xy and it makes me so happy that people are now playing and enjoying the generation that made me love Pokémon. Also I’m super excited for the probable chance to get a fennekin in the new gen games (like you could with the sinnoh starters in legends arceus) because fennekin hasn’t shown up since kalos and i never owned a ds so i can’t get one

I agree about the copy pasted gens (at least 1-4) but XY is NOT different from the others. After they tried with the most original pkmn game: BW (and failed) they returned to their roots with a mediocre game like XY.

This gen got me back to Pokemon. I remember watching most of the play through of this game on KZread. Then I watched the anime. Xy and xyz are the best anime of Pokemon it was the most anime-like season of the anime.

i played X and it was pretty fun! it was the game i formed a love for murkrow in lol. my main playthrough i got one from the gts. i don't remember the rest of my team 0_0 just the overleveled murkrow. b4 using her on my team i didnt like her much, but i was making a pokémon au for some characters. someone pointed out murkrow would fit more, so i used one and just fell in love! tied for my favorite pokémon! really fun to see you play it, i definitely need to do another playthrough as well :P

Same but with sun and moon got a shiny max lvl decidueye I realize now it was jacked but I was so happy and used it a lot plus it’s such a good shiny

I'm so glad you enjoyed Pokémon Y! That was the same one I played way back in 2013 ( or 14 i dont remember which exact year...), and yeah, it was because Yveltal looked cool. Though I do prefer Xerneas now, that shiny rainbow deer is one of my favorite fairy types (and thats saying something, cus fairy is easily my least favorite type).I chose Fennekin as my starter the first time, but when replaying it I realized you can get Articuno only if you start with Chespin. When playing the story, I didnt know about the riolu encounter early on, so I just got karrina's Lucario. If you've ever seen the megas for charizard, which do you prefer? I think the mega charizard from y is better, but mega x is the dragon type charizard so thats more popular. Also mewtwo y is epic as well. Though XY was not my first Pokémon region, technically that honor goes to Sinnoh (though White version, in Unova, was the more memorable childhood game for me, so I'm an honorary Unova kid lol), I do think those games were underrated and deserve a bit more fleshing out. Thats why I'm excited for legends Z/A, that and Legends Arceus is my second favorite Pokémon game ever! (First place is White 2, Third place is Scarlet) plus, N is literally the best rival/villain character, so I am glad to find him appreciated in literally any pokemon video (lol I'm a simp for the guy, what can I say?). As I no longer recal what I was going to finish this off with, I'll just say instead that I am going to enjoy watching your other videos now.

Pokémon xy is the best Pokémon Game EVER

I also, in high school decided to stop playing pokemon, but when I got to college, I got the 3ds for the era i missed and caught back up to the current gen. I played x and y but honestly wasnt as excited as I was when I played black and white. I think ill revisit this era as I only had 1 play thru and see if I feel any differently about it.

Wow…my last games were Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon after a separation from my 3DS from November 2017 to August 2020. I haven’t been able to afford a Switch so my Pokemon resume gap basically inverts yours!
